"It takes only 10 minutes to walk from Cork train station with a suitcase. It's basically a straight line. It's all flat. It's very close to the river. The city center shopping center is across the river. It's very convenient. I didn't order breakfast, so I don't know how the hotel breakfast is. The room is spacious and clean with large activity space. The furniture and facilities are good, and the mattress is comfortable to sleep. The beautiful lady at the front desk is very friendly and greeted us in Chinese. The only bad thing is that the room we stayed in was on the second floor facing the street. The bar downstairs was too noisy until late, and light sleepers would be affected. Everything else was perfect."

"It was a wonderful Victorian-style hotel. The hotel was remodeled from a former hospital building, and it has luxurious spaces. The rooms were clean and spacious, of course. The bathrooms were also of a high standard. It was impressive that they eliminated the bathtub to save water consumption in order to maintain the sustainability that the hotel aims for. I hope it will continue to develop as a good accommodation."

"Great location to visit the wildlife park but it’s not walkable. Room was lovely. It had everything we needed. Peaceful nights sleep too. You have to pre book the leisure club and children are only allowed at certain times meaning we missed out in the morning as my 13yr old wasn’t allowed in until 9am but we had to leave then.
Breakfast: Choice of food was amazing. Absolutely everything on offer. We were a bit rushed because we had the titanic experience booked so had to be punctual. We had to chase up the toast 3 times. It was the only thing my son would eat so couldn’t let it slide. Then it arrived stone cold so they apologised and redid it for him.
Overall it was a lovely hotel and included some nice touches like Lily O”Brien chocolates in the room, a coffee maker and free bottle of wine for Deluxe rooms. Turn down service was a welcome surprise too."

"Good stay, but the bathroom needs improvement.
The hotel is strategically located by the river and close to the bus station, making it very convenient for exploring the city. The room was spacious and comfortable, equipped with a kettle and a selection of herbal teas, teas, and coffee. However, the bathroom is definitely in need of an update: the sink is very small, the bath/shower mixer isn't working properly, and it's impossible to take a shower without getting your head completely wet. Overall, though, the stay was pleasant, and I would happily return; I'd also recommend it to friends looking for comfortable and centrally located accommodation."

"I got a room with a window facing the in-door atrium, which meant not having a window with daylight. For the price I paid, I would expect to have a room with a window with daylight.
Spa was not clean and I didn't enjoy it at all. Breakfast was not good either. I won't stay with Clayton again."

"As we were staying for one night only we weren't TOO fussy. We got a family room which was also kitted out for wheelchair user. Our view was of a tall, solid concrete wall. Friends stayed in a bright, sunny room looking out over the harbour.. Choose your room carefully if you are staying for a while and like a pleasant view. Breakfast was just okay. I had poached eggs on avocado, peanut rayu and sourdough. Felt it had too many flavours. Would like to have seen some simple breakfast options on the menu. Several dishes served with hollandaise sauce. I also noticed a few flies hovering around the food area. Would not rush to stay there again even though location was fabulous looking out over the harbour."

Great
DDuwanjuanshu;xingwanliluThe best hotel in Cork, but unfortunately it is a bit far from the city center, more than 3 kilometers to the train station, and it is not very convenient to take the bus. The room area is not very large, and the room facilities are quite complete. The hotel service is very good, and it can respond quickly. When checking out, they also extended the room. The hotel breakfast is in the form of ordering and buffet, but the variety of buffet is very limited, but the taste of the order is very good.
Xxxing2140Airport pick-up and drop-off are convenient, and the reception service at the front desk is attentive. The room is neat, clean and elegantly decorated. Good breakfast
GGuest UserThe Montenotee hotel is an experience of its own , fantastic views over the city , amazing interior design, delicious food and professional staff .. The glasshouse is superb with quality cocktails and surroundings. Highly recommend.
GGuest UserThe receptionist a mature lady ensured from the minute we arrived that all would go well even if we were English. She helped my wife with the local Pharmacy (thank you). The hotel has ample parking. Parts of the hotel actually have an interesting Irish Rail history as well. The hotel is right next to a decent high street 5minute walk away. They also served Murphy's in the bar! The room was good but it was the history inside the hotel and the conversion of the Railway bridge into a drinking area very novel. Breakfast was very good and competative no complaints from me Irish Breakfast same as an English to me! Would we stay there again yes we are planning to again next year. Iy is only a 45min drive drom Cork airport.
GGuest UserAbsolutely brilliant hotel. Staff were nothing next to amazing, especially John (guest relations). Every hotel should have a John. Brilliant. Bar staff again brilliant. Food was amazing. And nothing was ever a problem. Hated checking out.

Vier Sterne ⭐️???
SSharmaSachinThe hotel was okay overall, but there were a few things that could definitely be better. Water bottles weren’t given every day—you only get them if you ask, which felt a bit inconvenient. It’s something you expect to be taken care of without having to remind them. The internet in the room was quite slow. It worked, but not great—good enough for checking messages, but not reliable if you need to do work or stream anything. On the bright side, the lobby looked really nice—clean, modern, and a good place to sit and relax for a bit. In short, it’s not a bad place, but a few small improvements could make the stay much more comfortable. Swimming pool service was good.
AAlison DaveyFabulous and friendly staff. A huge asset.
Above the ground floor the hotel was pretty grim.
So uncared for it feels grubby. See pictures of the room, view and the only plug socket in the room (to use the kettle the entire kettle tray needed to be balanced on a chair infront of it)
Room hot with no fan and the noise that went on until after 1am by screeching young adults (unchecked by staff) meant that opening a window wasn’t an option. Very expensive for a hotel room that should be in the £40 bracket not over £100
GGuest UserStaff service is very good, friendly and polite
The location is great and the bed is very comfortable
There was a strong smell in the room when we first entered, but we managed to overcome it
The cross in the middle of the toilet window is see-through, so we had to cover it with a towel
