Intercontinental Hotel & Resorts properties in Beijing

This was my first time staying at this hotel, and I was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable it was. The room was spacious and tidy, and the bedding was incredibly soft, making for a very good night's sleep. What surprised me most was the hotel's pool; I went for a swim in the evening, and the water was clear and the surroundings beautiful. I took a few photos and posted them on social media, and all my friends asked which hotel it was. The staff at the service center were all lovely, especially Kamine. She helped me with my luggage during check-in and even gave me tips on local restaurants and attractions. The toiletries had a fresh scent and left my skin feeling hydrated, even better than the ones I brought myself. The location is also very convenient; the subway station is right downstairs, making it easy to get anywhere. I was very satisfied with my stay this time and will definitely choose this hotel again if I'm in the area.

The location is unbeatable, it's the newest hotel of its caliber within the Third Ring Road, even though it's been open for 10 years, which explains its consistently firm pricing. The hard decor style clearly aimed for a W-like vibe within the InterContinental brand, but it didn't quite hit the mark. The pool changing room was the biggest letdown – a tiny space with no seating and a foul odor. I remember when it first opened, the pool even had an underwater pedal exerciser that was visible from outside; not sure why they removed it.
