Best Beppu Hotels

We changed room type when we got to the hotel (from Seaside Maisonette to one of the Tower apartments) and this was seamlessly offered to us by the night staff. Service is top notch. Great for families. The food is wonderful and there is private onsen in every single room. Highly recommend for families of up to 4 persons to stay in the tower apartments. They are very new and well furnished.

I’m so glad that this hotel had a renewal earlier this year. It looks very new and clean now. It also has a fantastic location — only a 3-minute walk from Beppu Station and it is surrounded by numerous shops and restaurants. The huge Beppu Don Quijote is only 10 minutes away by foot. Luggage can also be stored at the cloak room for free before check-in. The onsen and sauna was very clean too! I had a really comfortable stay at this hotel.

Kamenoi Hotel Beppu is conveniently located near the JR station and main bus terminal, making it easy to travel to various parts of the city, including Beppu's Jigoku, via public transport. The hotel features a hot spring bath, perfect for the adventurous traveller looking to relax after a day of exploration. The rooms are more spacious than the typical Japanese hotel, which is especially beneficial for those travelling with children or large luggage.

Located right on top of a hill. Seaview is pretty far from hotel room... Thus nothing much to see anyway. As the Onsen is actually a bathtub attached to the inroom shower, the sulphur smell is very strong alike rotten eggs. Stayed for one night and is a good experience.

The room was spacious, clean, cheap and very good. There was a convenience store nearby, which was convenient. However, there was no parking lot, and the information about nearby places was insufficient. I had to enter my personal information again when checking in, which took time. The information was sent when I made the reservation, so I wish they would just sign it. Furthermore, since there is a lot of nuisance parking, I would like them to ask for my car information as well, and simplify the process.

This spacious accommodation is ideal for a family getaway with several members. It was tidy and cozy, making it a pleasant place to stay with my kids. The highlight was the garden outside and the large windows that let in the morning sun, creating a lovely atmosphere for breakfast while gazing outside. Unfortunately, the hot spring was out of order when we got there, but it appeared to be large enough for two people to enjoy. I was initially concerned that the size of the apartment would make it chilly upon arrival, but the heating system was effective, and the place warmed up quickly.

The hotel room is small but adequate for dinner in the room. There are also two family soups that require an appointment.
