"Waterfall View Inn is a charming property across the river in a peaceful setting overlooking Furong Ancient Town. The view from my balcony room (8305) on the third floor was amazing, particularly at night when the ancient town lights up around sunset. The family who operate the property are extremely friendly and hospitable, going above and beyond to look after me during my two night stay from 20 June 2026. From driving me to/from Furongzhen Station and to/from Furong Ancient Town, to lending me a local sim card for the first night until I worked out how to get my esim working in China. When I enquired if there were laundry facilities in the town, they even took a small bag of clothes off my hands and washed them for me. Even though it wasn’t included in the price, they provided a tasty traditional noodle breakfast with tea and fresh fruits. The room was immaculate, well appointed, and quite spacious for a solo traveller. I would not hesitate in recommending the Waterfall View Inn and happily rate it 5 stars!"

"The hotel staff were excellent, and the location was great. They provided pick-up and drop-off services to both the high-speed train station and tourist attractions. The room was spacious and very comfortable. This is by far the best hotel I've stayed at during my travels, I'm truly satisfied. The butler service was also very thoughtful. After a tiring day of sightseeing, it was a lovely touch that the hotel offered free hot porridge and pastries. It was very considerate."

"The hotel environment is very good, the room is big enough and good. Especially the boss family treats people with kindness and thoughtful service. The meal is ordered directly at the hotel. The food is very good and not expensive. It gives a good experience to the pedestrian in this hotel. Thank you for the service of the boss family. I wish the business is booming!"

"The property has potential with good environment and hardware; but the soft aspect of guest room is not well taken care of and this affects customer experience. Likes - quiet & serene environment, good service in providing prompt internal transport Areas need more attention for improvement: - in the room the coffee & tea container is there but empty - in the bathroom there were lots of small toiletry bottles but shower gel is missing! Imagine a guest is already in shower & finds no shower gel to use..... - cloth hanger with clips was not in good order; side table is badly stained. - it may be on purpose but no tv & no phone is a no-no for customer experience. Phone to contact front desk remains the most efficient & direct means of communication & service; even in today's high tech era. - why create a dent in customer experience when breakfast is covered yet charge for coffee?"

"The owner was incredibly helpful and fun; he even drove us around town. He also recommended local food, and the teppanyaki he suggested was absolutely delicious and well worth it. The guesthouse itself was very nice, with a river view and a great view. I recommend it to those who prefer a quiet environment. While the guesthouses in Furong Town are close by, they can be a bit noisy. The owner said he's going to start a live stream, so I'm going to give him a thumbs up!"

"I rarely write reviews, but this guesthouse was truly wonderful. For 200 yuan during the National Day holiday, the room included breakfast. The room had wooden walls, and there were many osmanthus trees outside. Fallen orange-red osmanthus petals littered the path, and the sweet scent of osmanthus filled the air as soon as you entered the guesthouse. Inside the room, there was a pleasant, fragrant woody aroma. It fulfilled my fantasies about rural life in western Hunan – peaceful and serene. After living in the city for so long, I felt it was perfect for a holiday getaway. Unfortunately, I only had one day there. If I have the chance to come back again, I'll definitely choose to stay here again!"

"The front desk was friendly, check-in was easy, a deposit was required, and check-out was quick. The hotel decoration seems to be old, and there are many places in the corners that show the vicissitudes of life. The housekeeping was generally OK; the glass windows were sealed and could not be opened for ventilation. There is a vegetable market downstairs, with many restaurants and fruit vendors, and a supermarket not far away. The shower room is too small, and you have to be careful when turning around; the wash basin faucet needs to be left with cold water for a long time before hot water comes out. The hotel has its own parking lot, which feels a bit cramped."
