"The room lacked proper towel storage; face towels were unhygienically placed right next to the drain pipe, which was very unpleasant. The bathroom drainage was poor, causing water to pool around the toilet area. Breakfast was terrible: the dishes were carelessly prepared, variety was scarce, and even the hard-boiled eggs weren't fresh. Many guests were also using their bare hands to pick up food, which was unhygienic. Furthermore, the swimming pool's safety barriers were poorly designed."

"Overall, it was okay. The hot springs seem authentic. However, I have a few points for future guests to consider: 1. There were some hygiene oversights. One pillow was noticeably dirty, either not changed or not properly cleaned, and one bathrobe was stained. 2. At 1 AM, someone was barbecuing on a downstairs balcony. The smoke and smell were so strong they woke me up. If guests are allowed to barbecue inside the hotel, the fire risk is a serious concern. 3. The hotel's promotional activities are a bit of a joke. A 100 RMB voucher for the Chinese restaurant requires a minimum spend of over 200 RMB to use. The discounted dishes are only worth their discounted price anyway. I'm not sure if this promotion is meant to trick guests or just for the hotel's own amusement."

I was originally driving north from Hainan and was going to Zhanjiang after passing Xuwen Port, but after going there a few times I felt it was just average, so I changed my route to Huazhou and stopped there. I didn’t expect this small city to be so cozy, with so many delicious foods and cheap prices. The hotel is new and the facilities and equipment are intelligent. The front desk clerk was very nice. The upgrade to a river view room was awesome. The environment is nice for a walk along the river after dinner, without the hustle and bustle of a big city. I really recommend stopping here. Much better than staying in Zhanjiang.

Every time I stayed at Ji Hotel, I always impressed by its room design, room layout, cleanliness, service and location.
I do have one suggestion for improvement, I thought if the room has a small green plant for decoration, it will give more artistic & beauty for the room.
I read the book by the founder 季琦、the rationale of not having a plant is to avoid the maintenance.
The hotel can consider a simple & strong plant like 绿萝….、 this indoor plant just needs water in a small vase and no need a lot sunlight and will survive. It is low cost & low maintenance. Just a suggestion.

The room is minimalist, but the design is very fashionable, very clean, spacious and bright, and all the details are very humane. It’s modern, and everything is good, and there’s nothing bad about it. The plugs all have typec fast charging, the toilet can be heated and flushed automatically, and the internet speed is very good. I can’t praise it enough, haha. The service is the icing on the cake. The staff are friendly and responsive. Extra quilts and mineral water are free. Before leaving, they reminded us to be careful not to go to places with deep water due to heavy rain. It was really considerate. There is a gym on the third floor. Although it is small, it is well-equipped. It provides free water, towels, storage boxes, air conditioning, and TV for screencasting. Parking spaces are a bit tight. There will be space on the ground after a while. If there is no space, you can go to the underground garage, but it is not connected to the hotel and you need to walk a short distance. Fortunately, there is a parking space at the door. Scan the QR code to park for free in the lobby. The breakfast is quite rich, the dining environment is good, and the price is very good. There are many restaurants nearby within walking distance. I ate Chef Niu’s beef offal and fat duck porridge, both of which were delicious. In the evening, there is the Rongyuan Night Market, where the fried skewers are good.
