"Pros: The location is excellent. Our balcony faced the lighthouse, offering beautiful views of the first morning sun. There were many people fishing on the cliffside beach at night, and we fell asleep to the sound of the waves. Cons: 1. The facilities are outdated, leftover from when it was a Wyndham hotel. The hairdryer definitely needs an upgrade as it overheats quickly. The disposable slippers were of poor quality, and I wouldn't dare wear the shower slippers. 2. There are very few amenities nearby; it's quite secluded."

The location is absolutely fantastic, boasting a 700-meter golden coastline on Le Tao Bay. Step right out onto soft, sandy beaches with clear, blue waters. The popular lighthouse is just a 10-minute walk away, perfect for stunning photos. The rooms are spacious with simple yet elegant decor, and the 'Sweet Dreams' bed is incredibly comfortable. The balcony offers expansive views, making afternoon tea with the sea breeze an absolute delight. The hotel facilities are comprehensive, including a huge outdoor pool, kids' club, and gym. Breakfast is plentiful and authentic – you must try the Hainanese noodles and coconut jelly! But what truly impressed me was the service from Butler Ella, who was available from pre-booking to post-stay – a true service benchmark! She provided a detailed check-in explanation, clearly outlining nearby attractions and dining recommendations. During my stay, any request I had was promptly and efficiently handled by Ella. Her responsiveness, friendly attitude, and professionalism were outstanding, making me feel completely safe and at home in an unfamiliar city! My entire experience exceeded expectations. The hardware is top-notch, and the service is incredibly warm, largely thanks to Butler Ella's dedicated efforts and attention to detail. I've already recommended it to all my friends heading to Wanning!"

"This is NOT an advertisement! This hotel has the absolute best service I've ever experienced! Every question was answered instantly. They provided clear and detailed information on activities, restaurants, services, and pricing. On the first day, we arrived late and they upgraded our room. They constantly reminded us about upcoming fireworks, to close windows and doors at night due to mosquitoes, and even proactively asked if we needed a late check-out or a new room key. Later, they upgraded our breakfast to the Horizon Restaurant. In the evening, they waited until we were back in our room to deliver a fruit platter – not just a basic fruit plate, but a lovely selection of mini bananas, strawberries, grapes, and tangerines. Even with so many guests, the service felt so personalized, almost like a one-on-one nanny! It left a deep impression! Secondly, the pool is absolutely gorgeous! It's only 1.5 meters deep at its deepest, and they even provide swim rings, which was a lifesaver for me, a non-swimmer! After swimming, you can soak in the hot pool nearby – it's incredibly comfortable; I almost fell asleep! The hot cocoa at the adjacent cocoa shop is very smooth and delicious. I loved the coffee chocolate I tried for the first time and bought a few as gifts. The crispy beef at the Chinese restaurant on the third floor was also delicious, exceeding my expectations! Overall, the entire stay was incredibly comfortable. Whether it was the front desk, gift shop, beverage shop, restaurants, pool, or beach bar, the service was unbelievably good throughout. Plus, Wanning's bar street is so much fun, with great music and energetic crowds – ten times better than the bars in Shanghai! I definitely want to come back again; it was such a joyful trip!!"

"Wanning Riyue Bay CTS Surfing Yuechao Hotel | A Lifesaving, Heartwarming Review! My friend and I stayed here for 3 days with our kids from Feb 7-9. What was supposed to be a fun family beach trip took a terrifying turn when my friend suddenly experienced severe vestibular dysfunction during an offshore excursion on the 7th. She was instantly incapacitated, dizzy beyond belief, and we were in an unfamiliar place with children. I honestly panicked to the point of a breakdown. Thank goodness we chose this hotel! From the moment we checked in, the staff provided meticulous care. They immediately arranged for a butler to look after the children, completely freeing us from worry. They also calmly and professionally assisted with contacting and escorting the ambulance, and the duty manager kept checking in on her condition via messages. They even proactively fast-tracked a suitable dinner for the patient, and the restaurant manager warmly shared their own experiences. Every staff member who looked after our children was incredibly loving and patient. Any staff we encountered around the hotel greeted us warmly and showed concern. During our most helpless moments in a foreign place, the hotel didn't just provide service; they offered the guardianship and sense of security of family. Their response was swift, their attitude gentle, and their execution reliable. Every detail warmed our hearts. The facilities were clean and comfortable, and the surf pool was huge and beautiful. But the service was truly top-tier – warm, responsible, and capable of handling emergencies. I flew over from Beijing with my parents, and after comparing many options, I finally chose the Westin Shimei Bay, one of the '100 Most Beautiful' hotels globally. Turns out, I made the right choice. The moment we stepped into the lobby, we were awestruck. The high ceilings and wooden structures created an amazing play of light and shadow. Even my dad, who usually dislikes going out, eagerly pulled my mom to take photos, saying it was more enjoyable than visiting attractions. Our butler, Mile, contacted us proactively right after booking. She helped us arrange a sea-view room and thoughtfully informed us about nearby free walking trails and sunrise times. The breakfast spread was extensive; my dad's favorite Cantonese dim sum and my mom's beloved freshly squeezed juices were all available. Every detail was taken care of. The sea at Shimei Bay is much quieter than Sanya. Strolling along the hotel's private beach, enjoying the sea breeze and sunshine, my parents kept saying, 'This trip was so worth it.' "Although the room is not very big, it is well designed, simple and comfortable, full of modernity. The laundry room and swimming pool in the store are good, and of course the service is great. The front desk is very enthusiastic and forced us to give two bottles of water when we checked out. The surrounding area is cozy and relaxing, away from the hustle and bustle. It is a good place for vacation. It is very close to Luwan Ranch. It is good to take children to have close contact with small animals in nature. In addition, Hainan is really a beautiful place to take pictures. You can enjoy fresh air and bright sunshine at any time. "Huge thanks to the front desk for the room upgrade! Check-in was super fast, and we got a lake-view room. The view from the sixth floor was pretty good, though the highest floor is the seventh, so it obviously can't compare to the views from higher-floor rooms. But being on a lower floor meant less wind, so it felt really warm and cozy. The hotel's public area pool is beautiful. The outdoor pool is cold water, not heated. However, the indoor heated pool makes up for it – you can swim there and then go for a hot spring dip, which is incredibly comfortable! I'd suggest increasing the frequency of maintenance for the hot spring pools; when I went, the water quality wasn't as good as I'd imagined, and the hot spring water quality isn't quite on par with places like Tengchong or Guangzhou. It's a bit stingy that guests consuming at the lobby bar still have to pay extra for the billiard table. I'd suggest changing this to a reservation-based system with a time limit; guests would probably feel better about that. Breakfast overall was decent. The live cooking stations for noodles and vermicelli were freshly prepared, and the broths were excellent. However, the soy milk and coconut milk were both watered down and flavorless, like too much water had been added, making them very bland. I hope this can be improved, because the self-service Qingbuliang (a refreshing dessert soup) loses its meaning if the coconut milk isn't good! The housekeeping staff are very diligent. For consecutive stays, it felt almost like checking into a new room every day. But as a five-star resort, shouldn't the complimentary bottled water at least be something like Nongfu Spring? This 'Ice Dew' brand is a bit much. A few extra cents in cost wouldn't hurt, right?"
