"The package is particularly user-friendly, free parking and self-driving with the baby is convenient, the laundry room drys clothes, and the children's dirty clothes can be dried on the same day. The breakfast buffet tastes light, porridge, pasta, fruit are complete, and children love to eat. The front desk staff was very caring and took the initiative to inform the scenic route and a good place to eat around. In the evening, I watched the night view of the ancient city of Zhangzhou by the window. The elderly and children liked it very much. It was clean and odorless. I lived in peace of mind and relaxed throughout the whole process. The preferred hotel for parent-child travel!"

"It's been a long time since I've stayed in a guesthouse with such a charmingly old-fashioned (in a good way) location.
After parking on the mountain, you walk down a flight of stairs to the guesthouse, which has a slightly rustic, garden-like feel at the entrance. You need to climb up to the rooms; there are three floors in total, but no stairs. We stayed in the innermost room on the third floor. The room was large, very clean, and fully equipped. The heating was incredibly powerful (it really dries clothes!), there was a separate shower and toilet, and mosquito repellent was provided. The screens were very tight, so there were practically no mosquitoes in the room (and if there were, they weren't very smart). There was also a live TV.
The river view from the window was absolutely stunning! This view was definitely worth the climb up and down. You can see the ancient town and the river; in the morning mist and rain, it's perfect for sitting and enjoying tea. We even considered staying another day, but we had to get going in the end, hehe."

"Our family of seven stayed in rooms 401, 402, and 403, including standard rooms, family rooms, and single rooms.
Each room offered a view of the Gongtan River 🌊, with the suite in room 402 having a slightly better view.
The children loved sitting on the chairs by the window watching the river view – the emerald green Wujiang River and the scattered stilted houses.
Sitting here, time truly seemed to slow down.
The guesthouse was newly renovated, with complete and new facilities. The children had a smart speaker to watch cartoons quietly, and adults could relax and lie down.
The family room was perfect for families with children. My little one even asked to sleep alone in his crib until he naturally woke up.
Gongtan Ancient Town isn't heavily commercialized; many shops were closed, making it ideal for a slower pace of life. Choosing a guesthouse you like and experiencing a slower lifestyle is wonderful!"

Our host, Ms Ran Ran, is a very warm and helpful person who had gone the extra mile to make our stay enjoyable. She helped arrange all our transportation needs: arriving from Pengshui and departure from Gongtan."

"We were originally preparing to return after visiting Taohuayuan, but we accidentally watched a video and saw that there was a paradise not far from Taohuayuan called ”Hewan Village”. The scenery was really not inferior to Taohuayuan, so we decided to drive there. On the way there, we saw this homestay, which was very cost-effective. The staff contacted us every few minutes for reservations and helped us with directions. After arriving, we needed to take a local transport boat to enter the village. After arriving at the homestay, we found that it was the Tujia Traditional Museum, which gave us a big surprise. The environment was so good that we could see the entire village and Youshui River. Surprises came one after another. There was actually a cafe on the second floor of the museum, which shocked my jaw. The boss also took us to visit and explain the museum. I really regretted why I didn’t come here the first time. I will definitely come again next time and recommend this place to my friends!"

The guesthouse faces the Wujiang River directly, offering absolutely stunning views – it's like a landscape painting right outside your window. The overall decor is rustic and elegant, perfectly capturing the ancient town's atmosphere. The room was clean, tidy, and beautifully decorated. The owner and staff were incredibly warm, attentive, and provided excellent service. The breakfast was light and delicious. Sitting in the courtyard, enjoying the river breeze and the scenery, was incredibly therapeutic. Its location within the ancient town is super convenient for exploring and dining. It's truly a top choice for a relaxing getaway. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Gongtan!

We had a wonderful stay at Ancient Town Manshi.Xiaoqi B&B. Perfect location!! The highlight of our experience was definitely the warm hospitality from the lovely young couple who run the place—they were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always ready to help.
We booked both the family room and the 3-bedroom suite, and were very pleased with the comfort and space. The balconies offered absolutely stunning views, making it a perfect spot to relax and take in the scenery. The shower facilities were also excellent—modern, clean, and very enjoyable hot shower after a day out.
One thoughtful touch that really stood out was the host personally picking us up from the carpark and guiding us to the accommodation, which made our arrival smooth and stress-free. They also kindly provided breakfast, which was a great way to start the day.
And of course, the adorable cats around the property added an extra charm to the stay!
Overall, we highly recommend this B&B for its beautiful views, comfortable rooms, and exceptional hospitality. We would gladly return again.

Must give a five-star rating! The boss and his wife are very nice! I feel that they can help solve any difficulties. The environment is also very good. There is a river view when you open the window. When we left, the boss's wife was also enthusiastic to help us find a car and carry our luggage. It was a very pleasant stay experience

The boss is very good, and also helped us book the cruise tickets, book in advance and book more discounts, and book on the same day is cheaper than buying it yourself, thank you.
The overall ancient town of Yantan was relocated and restored. It was well built. The houses are all wooden structures. Don't compare with the hotel here. The mood is the mood. In the morning, I watched the fog rise and fall in the mountains. Come by car, I can park the car in the parking lot, and walk with the box for a long time. In addition to this, the overall is fine.

I have stayed in many homestays, but this one really stands out. The bed is super comfortable, with moderate hardness and softness. I don't want to get up after lying down. There are many books in the public lounge area. You can play and communicate with other guests in your spare time and make new friends. Gongtan Ancient Town is as beautiful as a painting. The slow-paced life really makes people relax physically and mentally. There are bougainvilleas everywhere in the ancient town. The colors are bright and beautiful, and it is super beautiful with the green river water. And the lady at the front desk is really super gentle and nice.

I made a special trip back to my hometown, Youyang, to experience the Peach Blossom Spring Forest Hotel. Even though I'm a local and own a place there, I was still willing to spend the money to experience it. The tree-hole room I booked was a fantastic experience; it even had a mahjong machine. It was incredibly photogenic, and the surrounding area was beautiful for taking pictures. The only thing I found a little uncomfortable was the infinity pool, which wasn't as impressive as I'd imagined. Before arriving, I thought it would be a private hotel pool, but when I got there, I found many people who weren't even staying at the hotel using swimming tickets to swim in it. This made me a little uncomfortable. Overall, though, it was great, and the service was excellent; they could easily call a car to pick you up whenever you wanted.

The room is spacious and clean, with complete sanitary facilities. The location is good, and you can see the Wujiang River flowing slowly from the balcony, which is very pleasant. The breakfast is very generous, with a bowl of porridge, a cup of soy milk, a vegetarian bun, a steamed bun, a piece of corn, a piece of sweet potato, two pieces of fried dough sticks, and an egg. The downside is that the WiFi has not been connected, I hope it can be improved in the future.

The ancient city in the off-season is a bit deserted, and the inn has no guests. After arriving at night, there are not many options for dining. I went to eat the fish recommended by the inn, not to step on thunder.
The inn is next to the north gate of the ancient city. You can drive along the street outside the ancient city and walk up the steps. Parking should be possible outside the north gate. It is very convenient to get to the inn, but when we went, the north gate was repaired and it seemed that we could not park.
The room facilities are OK, in line with the location of the inn, clean and hygienic. Breakfast is the noodles cooked by the proprietress, okay.
