"This hotel exceeded our expectations. Traveling with our 8-year-old daughter, we were provided with a triple room. Its location is exceptionally convenient, with a dedicated walkway connecting directly to Okayama Station. The room itself was very spacious. We would have loved to try the breakfast, but as we had an early train to Takamatsu the next morning, we couldn't book it. From the smooth check-in process, it was clear this was a well-established, high-star hotel that truly prides itself on its standards."

"This was my first time in Okayama, and I chose this hotel. They offer free breakfast and dinner. The breakfast is a buffet with both Western and Japanese options, so you can choose what you like. For dinner, there are two choices: a rotating daily set meal or a fixed curry rice dish.
The public bath is a bit small, but it's fine for about four or five people.
The hotel is about an eight-minute walk from Okayama Station. There's a Don Quijote along the way, and plenty of restaurants and izakayas nearby, so there are lots of dining options. Convenience stores are also very close.
The room I stayed in this time was quite spacious, even with my luggage open, there was still plenty of room.
I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Okayama.
The only thing to be aware of is that there are about five or six steps right after you enter, which can be a bit challenging if you have heavy luggage. Otherwise, everything else was excellent."

"Amazing location (B1 is connected to okayama train station), spacious room, and friendly staff.
The breakfast was a set breakfast (few choices available) plus a small buffet. Quite disappointed by the breakfast and the service they provided. We needed to wait a long time for the set. I won't get the breakfast again as there are plenty of options within walking distance.
It's quite pricy but worth it if you need to be near the station."

"Location: Excellent! It's super convenient – just exit the west gate of the train station, cross the road, and go through a passage. There are tons of food options nearby; a bustling snack street is right across the road. Shopping is incredibly convenient too, not to mention the mall attached to the station itself. You've got Matsumoto Kiyoshi downstairs, Don Quijote across the street, and Takashimaya.
Facilities: The onsen (hot springs) alternate between male and female baths daily. One bath has an outdoor pool, while the other doesn't, but overall, the experience is still great.
Service: Each day, you get a complimentary drink or alcoholic beverage at the front desk."

"Actually, it is right next to the railway but you have to take a slight detour. I think the ecology near Niwase Station is very good. You can see super cute cormorants catching big carp. The area around the hotel is very quiet. The room is quite large, much larger than the average Japanese business hotel. There are also massage chairs and jacuzzi. It is very comfortable to soak in the massage chair after walking all day. I fell asleep in the massage chair. The front desk staff are very enthusiastic and always smiling. The hygiene is very clean. The soles of your feet are especially clean when you walk barefoot. There is a 711 nearby, but the hotel can also order meals. You have a good rest. I highly recommend this hotel."

"Facilities: The room was quite spacious; we could lay down two 30-inch suitcases flat, and there was plenty of room for a 24-inch one on the luggage rack. On our floor, there was a microwave, disposable chopsticks, and an ice machine. The shower had great water pressure, and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. It was fully equipped, and the toiletries were POLA.
Hygiene: Overall, it was quite clean, though there was a bit of dust on the windowsill, probably because it was hidden by the table and curtains.
Environment: The location is very convenient. There's a Matsumoto Kiyoshi downstairs and a Lawson directly across the street. Kani Doraku is also very close, and it's only a 10-minute walk to the Shinkansen.
Service: Excellent. The front desk provided complimentary amenities and consumables."

"We booked two rooms: a twin and a single. A size M suitcase can only be fully opened under the table. This is difficult in the single room (the suitcase was open right next to the bed), making it difficult to get up at night to go to the bathroom; you have to fold everything.
Nevertheless, the mattresses and pillows are very comfortable, and we also liked the nightgowns. Towels and nightgowns are changed daily unless you specify otherwise. The beds are wide, even in the single room.
The hotel is located close to the station (a maximum of 10 minutes' walk with a suitcase)."

Amazing
AANDREAS NUR JAHJAVia Inn Okayama was our 6th hotel on this journey, and its location honestly couldn’t have been better. Being directly connected to Okayama Station made everything very convenient — from getting around to grabbing daily necessities. There were even some supermarkets inside the station, which were super handy.
The lobby was on the 5th floor and already set the mood, with an amazing view overlooking the station and the city.
Our room was simple and comfortable, featuring a small double bed, a desk by the window, a chair, an air purifier, and a fairly new TV with YouTube and Netflix access — perfect for relaxing after a long day.
Space was a little tight when we opened our luggage, but it wasn’t a big issue. Even though the bathroom wasn’t very spacious, it still provided enough room to sit comfortably on the toilet, which we appreciated.
The real highlight was the view — an unblocked cityscape right from the room that made both mornings and nights extra special.
Convenient, comfortable, and memorable — Via Inn Okayama was a great stay right in the heart of the city.
BBrandorkslashdonThe main draw for me was the rooftop onsen; it’s not fancy but it is classic, which is good enough for me. A simple sauna, outdoor onsen, indoor one, cold plunge bath and a shower area. The room itself was compact but efficient and check in/out process was fairly simple. It’s about a 10 minute walk to the Okayama Shinkansen station so it was quite convenient to travel to other sites like Kurashiki Bikan
Ll3unnyThe staff I came came across were all very polite and had welcoming smiles, no matter at the reception desk or the restaurant on 20/F. I enjoyed my stay here, but it felt comparable to the 3 star hotels, just slightly better especially thanks to the fabulous breakfast and location of breakfast…If hotels have half stars, i would think it’s’more of a 3.5 star hotel instead of a 4. I have a few suggestions which the hotel can look into to improve in the future.
3 Things to improve on:
1) I picked this hotel because I read other reviews saying the hotel is connected to a bridge from the Okayama station. This is true but unfortunately there were no signs in the station to guide travellers unlike another hotel like Granvia. Google suggested that I look for the west exit which I did, but I ended up being at the ground level hence had to bring big suitcase all the stairs…then I spotted the bridge and ANA crowne plaza from the street
2) cleanliness can be improved. There’s a UCC drip coffee machine in the room. I don’t drink coffee, and the box for the drip coffee selection was refilled. However I spotted a used capsule on the floor near the wall. The bin was not blocking the view, so the cleaners could’ve easily spotted the rubbish if they had been a little more careful and looked under the table when they have to clear out the rubbish bin anyway.
3) I sent a message to the hotel via TRIP.com. The message wasn’t replied promptly, as in within a few hours. Ultimately it didn’t matter anymore, I arrived at the hotel before somebody managed to reply me. Maybe it’s the system that’s problematic which may have caused a lag? Or staff only look at mails/messages when not too busy at the front desk?
SssssunnyIt's about a 2-minute walk from the west exit of Okayama Station. From the 2nd floor of the station, go straight towards the ANA Crown Hotel, take the escalator down, and just cross the street. Since it's in front of the station, it was easy to leave my luggage and walk around before and after check-in. It was clean, the staff was friendly, and the bed was a basic double bed, so I was able to sleep comfortably alone. The breakfast was simple, but I was able to start the day with a hearty meal of the must-have items. It had a railroad view, but the soundproofing was good, so I couldn't hear the train noise very well. It was romantic to be able to watch the Shinkansen pass by.
Aautumn titaniumVery convenient location close to Okayama Station. There's a Lawson convenient store below the hotel, and there's a Aeon mall and a Don Quijote store within 2 minutes walk. Hotel room is small but is clean and comfortable. The room is equipped with hair dryer, water kettle and mini-fridge. Guests can help themselves to toiletries, paper cups, tea bags, etc beside the reception.
SSiren500It's hard to describe...
1. The facilities are old. In addition to the two sockets on the table, there is one at the door of the toilet, and the main point is that you forget to take it away. They sell everything under the concept of environmental protection, water is 100, various vending machines, and toothbrushes and toothpaste are taken downstairs.
2. The bathroom bar is definitely cleaner than in China, maybe because it's old. Anyway, the table and bedspread look a bit uncomfortable. I ordered a big bed, and the bedspread made my butt itch after using it for a while
3. It's far away from Okayama, 20 minutes walk, mainly because the road is bumpy all the way there, it's really not friendly to pull a big suitcase. From the hotel to the nearby dining place is basically equivalent to walking back to the station. Even the convenience store is less than 10 minutes away, which is definitely not the distance to buy water in slippers and coats.
4. I spent a long time looking for the name when I checked in, and I met a wave of business meeting guests. Who said Japan is quiet?
If it's a good place, it includes breakfast, and the variety is quite rich. Early in the morning, curry rice, French bread and coffee...
ジジュリアンIt is a short distance from the west exit of Okayama Station, but acceptable because the airport buses stop at the west exit and there is no need to get on and off.
However, the soundproofing is really average, facing the station, there are freight trains passing through all night, mind you may have to think about another one in the east exit.
More concerned is that the air conditioner is noisy, I do not know if there is regular maintenance for repairs, the dust filter is not washed, accumulated dust. Request to change rooms successfully, air conditioning sound problems improved, is the dust screen is the same, forget.
GGuest UserThe staff at the front desk were welcoming and attentive, and communication was seamless. The location is excellent, surrounded by numerous commercial areas, making it incredibly convenient for transportation. The hotel boasts a quiet ambiance and comprehensive, well-maintained facilities.
GGuest UserThe location is close to the station and there are shopping centers and marts around.
But the hotel is old and messier than that
It feels like a cheap motel in Korea
There's a smell of mold in the bathroom, and there's a lot of mold on the shower curtain.
I understand that the room is small, but it smells as soon as I enter the hotel ...
GGuest UserThe front desk staff were very kind and it was a great first time stay. The food was also delicious. The bed felt a little hard, but I think I could tolerate it for a day. I had a really hard time opening the lock. It took me about five minutes to get into the room! I inserted the key, pushed it in, and turned it, and it opened!
