"This resort is truly beautiful — scenic, clean and affordable. The surroundings are stunning and the rooms are well-maintained. However, there were several service issues that affected our overall experience. 1. Boat pick up was said to be 1.30pm. We were made to wait on the boat for almost 30 minutes because the resort manager had gone to town to buy supplies. The transfer only proceeded after I complained to the service manager. Shouldn’t the boat came earlier if u need to buy supplies?? 2. Upon arrival at the resort, we had to wait again for check-in, even though ours was the only boat arriving and there were only four rooms to be checked in. 3. Dinner was scheduled from 7-8 PM. When we arrived at the café at around 7:30 PM, only rice and chicken were left. The vegetables and prawns had already run out. When I requested a fried egg as a replacement, I was offered clams instead. It should’t be an excuse if other customers took too much food or we came late. 7.30pm is not late. You shd manage the food serving, it was not ur 1st week of business. 4. Breakfast was scheduled from 7-8AM. We arrived at 7:20 AM, but breakfast was not ready yet. Once the food was served, guests had to queue (this is fine) but by the time it was our turn, the eggs and chicken were already finished. I had to personally knock the kitchen to inform before the food was replenished. 5. Trip.com stated that check-out time was 11:00 AM, but the front desk informed us that check-out was at 10:00 AM. Only after I pointed out the booking details was I allowed to check out at 11:00 AM. Belief they wants more ample time to tidy up the rooms at the cost of the customers. Other area that improve:- 1. When I contacted the receptionist via WhatsApp regarding a booking modification, the responses were not particularly friendly or accommodating. A more customer-oriented approach would greatly improve the guest experience. 2. The receptionist’s appearance and presentation did not seem professional. Throughout my stay, she was dressed very casually, resembling sleepwear, and I initially assumed she was part of the housekeeping team rather than the front desk staff. Overall, the resort has great potential due to its beautiful setting, cleanliness, and affordability. With improvements in service standards, communication, and guest management, it could provide a much better experience for visitors."

"I thought this hotel was great. Room would be a bit small for two but was great for one. Bed was comfy and good shower, everything was clean and location for island trips and restaurants was great. Nice staff recommended a really good value shared minivan taxi to an early morning flight for me saved me a lot of money. Semporna itself is a bit of a dump and crowded with Chinese tourists in February (Chinese new year). No laundry as far as I know"

"This hotel is conveniently located next to Semporna's Rinjani Hai Feng, just about 100 meters from Semporna Jetty, making getting around super easy. Downstairs, you'll find plenty of dining options like KFC and Starbucks, along with convenience stores and local specialty shops. Its proximity to the departure pier is perfect for island hopping tours – you can walk to the meeting point in minutes and even board your boat right downstairs. The seafood market is only 300 meters away, as are famous smoothie shops and a whole street of restaurants. The rooms are spacious, with comfortable bedding, new facilities, and excellent natural light and ventilation. They're pristine and tidy, the beds are incredibly comfy, and all the amenities are well-maintained. The front desk staff are warm and attentive, and they speak Chinese, which made check-in quick and smooth. The room service was also top-notch. For instance, the front desk guy was really thoughtful and we had no trouble communicating in Chinese. You get an amazing sea view from your window. When you pull back the curtains, you're greeted by the stunning gradient blue ocean, and you can even watch the sunset from your window in the evening. Waking up to that sea view right from your bedroom is truly spectacular."

"My Semporna trip was full of pleasant surprises, and I absolutely have to rave about the overwater villa I stayed in! 😆 Before I left, I'd only booked a standard terraced room, but to my surprise, the owner upgraded us to a private standalone villa for free when we checked in! It worked out to only about 800 yuan a night for a private sea-view villa with its own terrace – what a steal! We were grinning from ear to ear the moment we stepped inside. Once we actually settled in, we didn't even feel like going out to sightsee. In the mornings, we'd just pull up a small chair on the terrace, feel the sea breeze, do some fishing with our feet dangling in the cool water, and just relax. It was so comfortable doing absolutely nothing. In the evenings, we'd sit on the terrace and watch the sunset paint the entire sea a fiery orange. And waking up, we'd see the sunrise emerge from the horizon right from our room. There's also a huge bathtub where you can soak and gaze at the sea – now *that's* a vacation! I have to give a special shout-out to the butler here; they were incredibly thoughtful. When we wanted to go sea fishing, they had bait ready for us in advance. When we wanted to go into town for food and shopping, we just mentioned it and a car was arranged to pick us up very quickly, no delays at all. Plus, when you look down from the overwater villa, you can clearly see all sorts of small fish swimming around in the sea. In the mornings, we even saw little crabs 'strolling' on our terrace. Feeding the fish breadcrumbs and just leisurely passing the morning was incredibly relaxing. This is absolutely the most satisfying overwater villa I've ever stayed in, hands down. If you're coming to Semporna, you really should consider this place! 👍"

"very convenient in terms of location. rate per night is also reasonably affordable. friendly and helpful staff. cleanliness is very good. room is quite spacious. facilities is good. only have to walk up the stairs for those with luggage is quite a hassle. overall is really recommended."

"Pros: Very clean, excellent hygiene, and quiet at night. We originally booked a triple room, but the owner upgraded us to a quad, which was a good size and suitable for families. The owner also recommended an island hopping tour, and the snorkeling instructor assigned to us was very good. Cons: It's a bit far from the seafood market and somewhat secluded, but we used Grab for all our travel, costing between 6-10 Malaysian Ringgit. The soundproofing of the door could be better. It seems like the area has insufficient voltage, as we experienced a power outage for several hours one evening. On a side note, there were a few friendly cats in the yard, so we bought some cat food from a local store in town to feed them. 😁"

"I was really disappointed with this hotel experience. (The staff were very friendly, but the hotel facilities and soundproofing were poor.) The bathroom facilities were extremely basic, and the overall room amenities felt cheap and ordinary. Perhaps due to the materials used in the renovations, you could hear everything going on upstairs. This definitely needs improvement, especially considering it costs 700 RMB per night. 🫪"

"My stay at this hotel during my trip was truly exceptional! The hotel's overall environment is quiet and comfortable, and the rooms are clean and tidy, making for a very relaxing stay, perfect for a vacation. The hotel staff provided very warm and attentive service. From the moment I checked in, they created a dedicated group chat for guests to easily contact them at any time. Any questions I had were answered and resolved promptly, showing high service efficiency and making me feel very secure. Furthermore, I accidentally left my phone in the room when checking out. After contacting the staff, they immediately helped me look for it and promptly brought it to the hotel entrance. They were truly responsible, and it really shows the hotel's dedication to its guests. Overall, it offers excellent value for money. The price is affordable, but the service and overall experience far exceeded my expectations. Both the environment and the service are highly commendable. I highly recommend staying here if you're traveling, and I will definitely come back again!"

"Everything about this place was great! The courtyard was clean and even had little cats. Communication in Chinese was seamless, and the owner was a really nice, young guy from mainland China. There's also a pool in the courtyard, which was lovely for an evening breeze. It's super close to the pier, just a few minutes' walk, so getting around was easy. The owner was incredibly helpful. The room had an electric mosquito repellent, and all the usual disposable toiletries were well-stocked. We even saw a group of people who thought they'd lost their phone, and the owner immediately helped them search for it, only for it to turn out it was in their car – it just goes to show how warm-hearted and positive the owner is, thumbs up! He also gave us tips on seafood prices to help us bargain and recommended some great restaurants for processing seafood. Honestly, it was a fantastic stay, and I'd definitely choose to stay here again if I come back."
