"Best Value Guesthouse! First of all, the room was clean and comfortable. It had a fresh and tidy feel, and I slept very well. Since it was the off-season when I stayed, I was able to use the room all to myself. Friendly and helpful staff They kindly assisted me with SIM card setup and gave useful advice. I actually lost my key during my stay, but they quickly replaced the lock, which was a big help. Delicious food at the rooftop restaurant There’s a restaurant on the rooftop, and the food was great! It was also a nice place to meet and talk with other travelers, which made me feel at ease. If you’re looking for a clean and affordable place to stay in Moshi, you can’t go wrong here. "I had dinner at the hotel and I did not realize that the waitress made a mistake and charged my credit card in US dollars instead of 33.990 TZ shillings. An hour later, the waitress knocked my door and told me about the mistake and that they would reverse the transaction in the morning. It took the hotel 2 days to sort that out with their bank (NMB Bank). I spent about US$500 on international phone calls with my bank in SA so that they undersand the problem and help me solve it. After a long struggle, I got my money back after 25 days. I am writing this to alert tourists who visit Tz. Please look at the credit card machine to ensure that the correct currency is being charged before pressing the buttons. Scrutinize the receipts that you get and keep them until you get home. Regardless of the nerve-racking experience that I had, I would like to thank the Kibo Palace Hotel administration and staff for their honesy (admitting the error) and for the great efforts they put forth to ensure thae reversal of the reve money as they had no experience with this issue before. Everybody at the hotel was sympathetic and very supportive. Every now and then they contacted me to see if I got the money or not. My advice to the hotel is to train their staff especially waitresses/waiters in using payment machines, and even improving their English to avoid such mistakes and hastles. I wish the accountant tooke me with her to the bank so that I know exactly what is going on so that I give solutions or ask my bank for solutions. if I come back to Moshi, I would definitely stay at the Kibo Palce Hotel and enjoy Mt Kilimanjaro views."

"The hotel is located in a quiet side street. From there you have a very good view of the Kilimandscharo. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Very recommendable!"

"There are very few Chinese people here, so let me leave a comment. Don't have extravagant hopes for the Youth Hostel, it's a place to live. Single room, mosquito net, clean quilt, toilet and tap water. But need to bring a conversion plug. But the square dance outside is still loud but I don't mind."

"I thought it was a new homestay, but it should have been in operation for a while. The facilities in the room are in the style of the guest house in the 90s. The clock is bad, the mirror is facing the bed, and there is no charging socket at the bedside. The water in the bathroom is unstable, hot and cold, not drained, no elevator, and the waiter drags the luggage up to the second floor. The restaurant is slow to eat, and there are no other choices around. Anyway, it is OK to stay for a few hours. The waiters are very warm and friendly, the public location is very good, the price is particularly good in the local area, can not ask for too much."
