I came here for the reputation of Yinlu. The hotel is quiet overall. The room lighting is too dim. Although it is considered for the room effect, it is recommended to choose a slightly brighter option, which is very inconvenient for the elderly with poor eyesight. The mattress is a bit too soft, like a spring mattress. There is a tea table in the room, with three tea boxes placed. You need to pay for opening any box, ranging from 58 to 68 yuan. The experience is really bad. Such a stylish hotel is just short of sending one or two teas. The feeling is very bad. All snacks and drinks in the room need to be paid. Please take care. The bathroom drainage is not good. After taking a bath, the water will overflow and flow near the toilet, causing you to be very careful to slip when going to the toilet. The hotel is about 15 minutes away from the airport by car. It is convenient to have a water street commercial street around.

The hotel has an excellent location within walking distance (an easy 25 minute stroll) of Tianfu Square, the Chengdu Museum, Chengdu Library and the Science and Technology Museum. It also has a metro station next to its entrance offering metro line 1 which takes one directly to quite a few landmarks for a mere 2 yuan. Didis and taxis are also easy to book or flag down in that location. The reception staff are generally helpful but special mention must be made of the outstanding concierge division : Cloudy and Cinderella are particularly congenial and deserve high praise. The one drawback is the breakfast room which can be very chaotic during peak hours, especially when large coach tours arrive.

We really enjoyed our stay and the hotel was comfortable, clean and very conveniently located. Staff were polite, helpful and friendly. My only minor niggle was that at breakfast I asked the chef for a soft yolk egg, as the Chinese prefer to cook the yolks until hard. He said no. But as I left after finishing my breakfast, I saw soft yolked eggs now available. Perhaps it was my poor Chinese and he hadn’t understood what I asked for. Hope so. Also, I’ve stayed in hotels in China that provide real bacon for breakfast, not the reconstituted stuff lots of places use. Sadly, this wasn’t one of them. I live in hope.

The breakfast items were mostly delish. Service was good and they provided a fruit welcome gift. I reached early and they let me check in since the room was free. During booking I alrd informed I don't want a corridor room but they called to inform me that only corridor room is for solo travelers. I accepted it but I think they are really responsible and honest hoteliers

We stayed 4 nights here and mostly enjoyed the experience. The location was good and easy to get to most attractions. The beds were comfortable – not too hard and not too soft. The pillows were also a good firmness and not too thin as many Chinese pillows are. Trip.com’s diamond system is a bit misleading. Trip.com rates this as a 4 diamond hotel but it’s more like a 3 star hotel. The positives: free washing machine use. Delicious buffet breakfast. No noise coming from adjacent neighbours. Good service. The negatives: the carpet was dirty. One of our rooms smelt of mildew so we requested a new room which did not smell. There was a fair bit of noise from the street outside coming in from the windows in our room - such as cars honking, loud jingles playing from shops, people shouting etc, but it pretty much stopped by midnight. One of our rooms also was next to the elevator which was noisy and we asked to be moved which they accomodate.

The location is very centralised and easily accessible to tourist attractions. There is a mall connected to the hotel so its very convenient finding food and drinks. The room is spacious with a mini kitchen. However, because you can cook in the room, so prepared that there is lingering smell in the room when you check in. It took quite a while for us to air the room by opening the window. The rest are all good and will surely come back again.

The hotel is close to Wenshu Monastery Metro station (Line 1, 5-10min walk) and a good starting point for travelling in all directions. The staff at the reception was nice and they tried their best to explain everything to us in English (translating tools are very helpful/needed here in general!). Although the hotel has a non-smoking policy (signs are up everywhere), nobody really cares and the lobby as well as the room had a cigarette smell. Nevertheless, the hotel and the room was very clean, although the glorious times of the Celebrity are over. It is a bit old and could need some renovation during which they could also install a noise protection that cancels the sound from your neighbors (we had someone next to us snoring all night and we could perfectly hear it). However, the breakfast compensated for a lot. The selection of mostly Chinese dishes was amazing. Overall, the hotel has a fair cost/performance ratio and we can recommend it.

Was excellent from start to end. Everything was perfect, now you can call that a 5 stars hotel ! The client service was top tier, thanks to everyone, Damon and Rachel who were so kind, professional and efficient. This one was by far the best comparing to all the hotels that I have stayed at. ( around the world) experience was so good that I extended my stay. Definitely recommend it.
