Christchurch Marshland Hotels

We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights just recently, first arrived at the hotel, the reception was polite enough but not as helpful as any front desk staff coud be. The room was clean and comfy, location was fantastic, environment was superb (quite, few hote guests). But somehow my wife lost her wedding ring from our room. We only noticed by the end of the day, and should have picked up earier. Mr. ************, the hotel manager, made it even worse from a travellers point of view. He has the worse attitude to the whole incident, instead of offering his empathy, he pushed responsibility back to the hotel guests who lost the wedding ring in his room at his hotel. His passive aggression is throughout all the poor google review! He reacted bluntly when questioned about CCTV other than the door access record he could provide immediately, being agreesive at his answer and attitude towards to someone who turned over the room to just look for the missing ring. He was not friendly, empathatic nor welcoming despit he is in hospitality industry. Im not blaming at anyone here or making any accusation on anyone but he as the hotel manager was the only one we could seek help for in a foreign country, and he expected us undedstanding how police and system worked here. To us, he made us sound like ****** and being forgetful on our own properties.

Central location of Christchurch is so good. Can walk around to garden, for shopping, to Riverside market, etc. No private car parking is not good but can afford the public parking around not bad. Punting in the Avon river is cool, 15 min walk. Botanic Garden is very cool. You would find the very old big expanded tree. It is so good.

The service was warm, especially the doorman and the front desk who greeted us when we first arrived at the hotel. The guy was enthusiastic and took the initiative to help carry the luggage. Before we checked in, the luggage had been moved to the room. The hotel has a dedicated parking lot, which requires valet parking and costs NZD 30 per day. The room is large and spacious. Although the facilities are a bit old, it is still convenient and comfortable to use. The location of the hotel is also very good, a 2-minute walk from the tram departure station, which is very convenient for shopping and major attractions.

I chose Adina when I first came to Christchurch. The enthusiastic and warm introduction from the front desk made me feel warm instantly. When I walked into the wide corridor of the hotel, the tall doors on both sides seemed to bring me back to my childhood. I grew up in the classical building of Shanghai Bund Source. It really added a special feeling. The hotel rooms are very good, with complete facilities, comfortable and soft beds, and clean and tidy bathrooms. I have introduced it to my relatives, friends and sisters, and they will choose this hotel next time they go to Christchurch.

The location is superb, directly opposite the cathedral. It's a shame, however, that the cathedral is still undergoing renovations and seems several years away from completion. On the bright side, the beautiful Cardboard Cathedral is within easy walking distance. Just outside the entrance, there's a beautiful library with a cafe – a perfect spot for both intellectual nourishment and a coffee or snack. Riverside Market is also very close, easily walkable, and features a wide array of restaurants and bars. While New World supermarket and Chemist Warehouse are a bit further away, they are still within a manageable walking distance, and we opted to walk there. The staff were exceptionally warm and professional. The rooms were very spacious, clean, and the bathrooms featured a convenient wet/dry separation. Luggage storage was also available. Overall, this was, without a doubt, the best value-for-money hotel we stayed at during our entire South Island New Zealand trip.

Everything was fantastic. Location, service, cleanliness, and the fact that you have washer and dryer in apartment was great thank you. The only thing we would recommend is that you sharpen the sharp knives regularly as these were very blunt but apart from that we would definitely recommend quest cathedral apartments! The staff is very friendly and we are lucky that we got upgraded to a bigger room. It is spacious, clean and comfortable. We had a great rest after a long flight. You can see the tram pass through the hotel. Highly recommend to stay at Hotel 115 if you visit Christchurch.

Location is excellent. Service needs to improve 1. Standard hotel will provide a box/pack of tissue for the guest - I need to request for it 2. In NZ, provide hot chocolate is quite standard, I requested 1st time not done, 2nd time I wrote a note on the desk and ONLY ONE packet of chocolate provided 3. The toilet is so small, for big people will be problem. There was a light non stop blinking, till now no answer and don't know the reason 4. No cupboard for clothes and the only fixed hanger on the wall and right above the table and next to the kettle which you will not able to hang your jacket or jeans properly. I requested for hanger in order to hand my clothes outside the bathroom bar.

The room is clean and tidy, the transportation is convenient, and the privacy is good
