"Can’t fault the hotel for service and cleanliness. The rooms are basic yet with a great level of comfort. Beds are comfortable and you have everything you need. The ladies at the front desk are really sweet and ready to help. You need a translating app or they can call someone who speaks English to communicate with you. As a foreigner being here at Chinese New Year it was hard being in town. The fireworks were loud and there was some street noise but we understood this is normal for the time of year. It would be great if the hotel utilised some of the outside spaces to make them a nice place to hang out. Some things to know: transport is expensive to get to the hotel unless you do busses and trains. However this is not straightforward and may not fit in with your timeline. Transport to some features is also pricey- about 400 per car Chinese new year prices (it’s not that they overcharge it’s just that things are far and there may not be another option for transport). We were a large group and needed 2 cars. If you get off the main road and into the scenic paths it is beautiful with cycle routes. There is a sweet bamboo river cruise you can do in and around town: Food is traditional Chinese everywhere you go but we have been here long enough to navigate that. Definitely go river rafting and cave exploring at Gulong waterfall/ cave. Tongling waterfall and scenic area is close there as well but we didn’t go. It is 80km away and a car will cost you but it is worth it. We also went to Detian waterfall which is nice but busy at Chinese new year. There was a a cool human conveyor belt up a section and a slide down which is fun. For this trip there is a bus leaving from the Mingshi scenic area bus terminal. Tickets are 20 per person. People here are generally sweet and the area is beautiful but it is rural China and you need the right attitude to approach this. It will be a rewarding experience if you have that."

"The location of the hotel is easy to find. The location is very advantageous. The parking spaces are sufficient and convenient. The rooms are well decorated and the facilities are complete. It is very cost-effective for more than 200 people. The breakfast is rich in variety and covers both the north and the south."

"The best experience of a two-day trip to Chongzuo is to book this hotel. The room has a yard that has a Southeast Asian holiday feel. The yard opens to a swimming pool for swimming, which is very convenient. The yard is in the scenic area, and a bamboo raft tour is also provided. The boat drop-off point is right at the hotel, and the route is very nice. The hotel staff is very warm and thoughtful. The toilet is also covered with a disposable toilet cover. Points that can be improved: The hotel meals are not delicious, there are few choices, and the service is average. The bed is 1.2 meters, too small, only suitable for single living, and a little nervous with a baby. After all, it is a pristine place in the countryside, and there are indeed many mosquitoes."

"Mingshi Yaju, the first thing that impressed me was the location and environment of the hotel. The hotel is very conveniently located in the scenic area. The hotel is built by the water. Xiao Yu was afraid that we didn't know the exclusive location of Yaju, so he walked with us. It was really thoughtful and considerate. The hotel provided national costumes. I was originally worried that no one would take pictures for me with the elderly and children. Xiao Yu took the trouble to take pictures for me, leaving many beautiful memories. This trip was because of my mother's birthday, but we stayed in another hotel on her birthday. Unexpectedly, the hotel also carefully prepared a birthday cake for my mother on the day we checked in. The room was decorated. My mother was very happy, which made us feel a little happier on this trip. As a guest, I can deeply feel that Yaju is a hotel that pays great attention to the feelings of guests. They are not afraid of guests' suggestions, but just want to do better. Yaju's service is like a thermos cup that can always warm your heart. The environment is elegant like the shell of a thermos bottle, but we finally chose to keep a thermos cup because of its durability. "The hotel is a little far from Chongzuo but you can hire a Didi for about 380RMB from the chongzuo train station. The hotel is located in a beautiful park where you can take a walk and see the 100 doors (I think it was called) and walk all the way to the border post 3. It's was surreal. Across the river you can see Vietnamese house and people. we waved. a drone showed up we left. To go to the waterfall we walked from the hotel to the tourist center. About a 45 minute walk. Not bad once you get there. The hotel is old and starting to show the tear. You can tell it was once great but no renovations have been made in forever. The carpet had stains on it. not tiny ones. The little mini balcony was dusty. The bed was big but on the hard side. The towels are frazzling it was unbelievable. The breakfast , if you are not full on on Chinese breakfast its a no no. AND no coffee EVEN though the COFFEE MACHINE looked like it had just been plugged off. sign sating being fixed. come on .It's a 4 diamond rating but it felt more like 2. It's also smaller than it links in the video and pics. There's an awesome restaurant at the entrance on the right. It made a whole lotta difference. Highly reccomend eating here. And we did!Twice. Food was not bad. definitely order the ribs. The staff is nice especially the restaurant lady. Would I stay again? NO"

"It should be the best hotel in the county. The hotel is located opposite the square of the county. The parking lot in front of the door is large and convenient for parking. The hotel is very new, the lobby on the first floor is large, the floor height is very high, and the atmosphere is spacious. The front desk service is good. The elevator is also very new. The room and bathroom are large enough, and the facilities in the room are also in line with the level of the Vienna hotel. WIFI speed is fast. Overall meet expectations."

"I stayed 2 nights at the Mingshi Mountain Village. The amenities were very nice, as well as the service. The location was very convenient for visiting the Detian Waterfall (about 45 minutes away by car) and also for enjoying the Mingshi Scenic area. I rented a bike from the hotel one day (free with your hotel stay) and had a great time exploring the surrounding bike paths - highly recommend! The hotel staff were also great in helping me arrange a car to take me to the Nanning Airport. I also liked that I could go inside the Scenic Area for free with my room card - it was great for evening walks and for the shows held there at night. I didn’t try the pool (but you need to pay extra for it anyways). The breakfast is nice - it’s what you’d usually find for a Chinese international hotel. There was coffee & milk as well! Overall, it was a good stay and I would stay here again."

"When I went to Chongzuo, I originally planned to only go to Detian Waterfall. Because I couldn't find the hotel I wanted, I had to live in the Mingshi Pastoral Scenic Area. Unexpectedly, I accidentally found this treasure hotel. The hotel is in a very good location, right in the scenic area. You only need to rent a bicycle or an electric car to have fun in the entire Mingshi countryside. And they are all free, such as Yulin Dam, Xingfu Bridge, etc. The key is that it only takes 30 minutes by car for him to go to Detian Waterfall. Closer to home, the hotel has been newly opened for less than half a year. The new Chinese-style decoration started from the entrance courtyard. The indoor and outdoor public areas in the lobby on the first floor are large and bright. When the weather is good, you can sit outside and drink tea and enjoy the beautiful scenery. The bedding, bath products, tea and coffee in the room are all in good condition. The breakfast is just right. For a B&B, it can be rated very high. This is a recommended B&B."
