Great location! It takes 2 minutes from the airport to take A2 to the terminal, then walk down and walk in 7 to 8 minutes. On the right is a mini Carrefour supermarket, which is very convenient for shopping. It takes a 5-minute walk to see the Statue of David, and a 6-7-minute walk to the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore. There are many famous restaurants around, so you can easily visit Feilengcui in one day! It's also walking distance to the main train station, and you'll also pass by Florence's China Street~

My husband and I stayed for 5 nights in June, 2024. We loved it so much that we are going in Sept. 2025 for 8 nights. Daniella is the greatest hostess a person could ever have. The breakfast is beyond compare!!! It was amazing to stay in a Palace that had frescos on the ceiling above your bed. The manager, Dario, was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. We can’t wait to go back!

We felt privileged to stay in this private palazzo in a great location in Florence. The owner, Daniela, is very warm and outgoing and makes everyone feel personally welcome. I'd love to say only great things about the place, but I think they are coasting a bit on her charm and a grand house. Our room was huge but the furnishings were cheap, white, and tacky--I wouldn't be surprised it it was all from Ikea. There wasn't a rug, and there were extension cords spread across one side of the room, easy to trip over. With the prices one has to pay in Florence now, a significant upgrade in furnishings would be appropriate. The breakfasts were elaborate and Daniela is present each day for them, but the amount of sweets served at breakfast was excessive. We'd be happy to stay there again, but would appreciate furnishings that match the grand building.

We consider ourselves lucky to have picked Palazzo Tolomei for our 5 day stay in Florence. I highly suggest you get the breakfast package. Our room was very beautiful and spacious. Daniela is the grandmother everyone wishes they had. She greats you every morning and tells you the origin of that morning’s breakfast. Her staff is so accommodating. I suggest you talk to Dario. He gave us great recommendations and directions.

If you are looking for a true Renaissance experience while in Florence, then this hotel will be for you. Old world charm with beautiful art in the main rooms and in some of the bedrooms. The hostess/owner, Daniela, treats you like family from the moment she first lays eyes on you and is so warm and inviting that it’s impossible not to love her back! All of the staff are warm and friendly. The breakfasts, my God, the breakfasts are fantastic! It’s a traditional, leisurely breakfast of many courses where no two days are the same, but the food is always next level fantastic! My husband is Celic and Daniela went above and beyond to make sure he had a wide variety of gluten free options to choose from. We were guests for 3 nights in total and when it came time to leave we felt sad to do so. If we ever return to Florence, we will definitely stay here again.

Palazzo Tolomei is a part of the history of Florence. Its hostess, the remarkable Daniela is the living proof of a glorious Florence, full of art, culture, generosity and prosperity. Our visit to the Palazzo was a flashback to the renaissance (the walls and ceilings are covered with unparalleled paintings and fresco) and it was exquisite. The rooms are palace quarters (by definition) clean and perfect. The breakfast is a daily surprise, plenty, pure and traditional, served where the original owners used to have it. The owner complements the stunning experience with classical music in all the common areas. Our Florence will always be inextricably linked with Palazzo Tolomei!
