Hotels in Yau Ma Tei, Hong Kong

For Hong Kong, where every inch is precious, the hotel room was surprisingly spacious. We had no problem opening up two suitcases. There's a mini-bar with complimentary drinks and a free toothbrush and toothpaste set. Our room was on the eighth floor with a direct view of Nathan Road below. Being a bit further from the elevator, the room was quite quiet. Getting around was very convenient; Jordan MTR Station exits D/E lead right to it. Our booking on Trip.com included the accommodation tax, and check-in was quick. There's a Mannings and a 7-Eleven nearby. It's also easy to get to Disneyland. We needed to exchange a bit of Hong Kong currency; we bought Jenny Bakery cookies at Mirador Mansion, and they only accepted cash. Most shops took WeChat Pay and Alipay. I initially used Alipay, but later found that WeChat Pay offered a better exchange rate. The hotel facilities are a bit dated; the lights need to be twisted manually to turn off, and the WiFi signal was just okay. Overall, it was still a good stay.

Room was small but good choice of material and colour to give it an upmarket and modern feel. Just enough space for one large (unopened) luggage and one cabin size luggage (opened and put on rack). Can hang your clothes on the 5-6 hangers provided. Lots of table top space to put your toiletries / skincare, bags, etc. We stayed on the 24th floor and the view was great. Rated average for cleanliness as there was a small cockroach on the tv panel but they immediately arranged for intensive cleaning to be done.

I read a review that said there was no cleaning, but cleaning was done. All the towels and other things were replaced. The staff were very kind and understood what I was trying to say, even with my poor English. My friend had left something behind, so I called them from the airport and they quickly checked on the room and other things, which was very helpful. The location was also very good. There was a kitchen with a refrigerator, frying pans, and dishes, so we could do whatever we wanted. It would have been great if the table was a little bigger.

Facilities: The facilities are quite comprehensive; they have everything you could want. Cleanliness: The sanitary conditions are also good. Environment: When I came to Hong Kong, I couldn't find the hotel's location for the life of me. Someone had to lead me up to it before I found it. Service: The Black guy working there provided good service. Finally, I'd like to say the hotel's location is excellent, close to everything. After watching the fireworks last night, it was incredibly convenient to get back to the hotel. It's a very nice hotel, and if I come to HK again, I'll definitely book this one.

Arrived late night and reception staff were very friendly and helpful - fantastic attitude. Rooms are compact, but clean and good minimalistic decor. Great option for the price in the mid tier range

I had to book a room last minute at 11:30 at night bc the room i booked at another hotel was filthy and uninhabitable. I found Happy Motel on trip.com and upon arriving i was so thrilled to see how clean and homey it was. I stayed in the family room which was spacious. The room was neat and all the amenities were provided-AC, Wi-Fi, toliet paper, mini kitchen. There is an elevator. Kevin,the owner, was also helpful and kind. I will return to this hotel next time I come to HK. So grateful to have found this place. Close to Jordan station (right across the street). Prime location, too. Shops and restaurant abound downstairs. Highly recommend if you want to travel comfortably and if you want to feel like a local.

The area is great, eventhough the building is old. The service is very good. The landlady was great, she’s really accommodating thought there was a language barrier, but with AI language assistance, everything will be smooth. Overall. Our stay was pleasant. There’s a lot of stores, restaurants, money exchange in the area. Not to mention the public transport. So near from the bus stop and just a meter away from the MTR Jordan station. It’s very very convenient. 5 stars for madam..I just forgot her name. Very good people.

Weekend hotel prices in Hong Kong can be quite steep, but this place truly stands out as an excellent option within its price range. It's conveniently located right next to Jordan MTR station. The rooms are fairly clean, and the front desk staff were very welcoming. If you're wondering where to stay in Hong Kong on a weekend or public holiday and have a limited budget, this hotel is definitely worth considering. We booked two rooms. They were very clean and in an excellent location. The two adjacent rooms were perfect for our family of five. We had the pleasure of meeting the host, Uncle Xing. He is a remarkably kind and humble elder, from the same generation as our own family seniors. Our entire family was extremely satisfied with our stay. It was evident that Uncle Xing put a lot of effort into perfecting the rooms; he genuinely anticipated every guest's need. We'd confidently give it a 12 out of 10! As first-time visitors to Hong Kong, we feel incredibly fortunate and grateful that Uncle Xing was the first local person we got to know. Our trip was rushed, so we didn't manage to take many photos of the rooms. We wish Uncle Xing a Happy New Year and wishing you great prosperity!

The room was clean and tidy, and the location was very convenient. There's a Hong Kong-style cafe and snack shops right downstairs, and it's also quite close to the subway station. Everything else was great, but the room rate was a bit steep, and other expenses were also quite high.
