Overall, it was a good stay. The location is excellent, the bed was comfortable, and the blackout curtains worked well. The only minor issue was that the luggage storage area was a bit damp, but it didn't really bother me. Do note that you'll have to climb a few stairs to get to your room, which might be a bit inconvenient if you have heavy luggage.

Excellent Stay in the Heart of Kunming I stayed at Atour Hotel Kunming (Nanping Pedestrian Street Old Street) for one night on 1 June 2025, and it was easily one of the best hotel stays I’ve had in Kunming. The hotel appears to have been recently renovated, giving it a fresh, modern, and stylish feel throughout. We booked a Superior Queen Room, which was exceptionally spacious and thoughtfully designed. The room was well-equipped with all the amenities you would need for a comfortable stay. The standout feature was undoubtedly the bedding. The mattress and pillows were incredibly comfortable and supportive—we slept so well that we nearly missed breakfast the next morning. The bathroom amenities were excellent, and the heated toilet seat was a particularly nice touch, especially considering how uncomfortable cold toilet seats can be. The only thing missing was a bidet, which would have made the experience a perfect 5/5. Another feature I appreciated was the hotel’s robot delivery service. Food deliveries are received at the lobby and then sent directly to your room by robot, which was both convenient and fun. The lobby and breakfast restaurant are located on Level 7, which also houses a well-equipped gym and complimentary self-service laundry facilities—great additions for both short and extended stays. Location-wise, the hotel is hard to beat. Situated right in the heart of Kunming’s city centre, surrounded by local streets, markets, shopping malls, and plenty of dining options, making it an excellent base for exploring the city. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its comfort, facilities, service, and unbeatable location. I would not hesitate to stay here again on my next visit to Kunming.

I have to say, I absolutely loved this hotel! I canceled my original booking the day before my trip and chose this one instead, and it turns out it was the best decision ever! From the moment I walked in, I loved the ambiance. I had been walking for a while and was a bit hot. When I checked in, the two ladies at the front desk immediately offered me warm tea to drink 🥰. It was quiet and cozy, and the courtyard was just beautiful! It had goldfish and a misty, serene atmosphere, with flagstone paths. It's a shame it was raining, otherwise, I would have definitely sat there and read a book. The room was incredibly quiet, and the walls felt solid. The only minor issue was that it could get a bit noisy if people were talking in the hallway, but with earplugs, it wasn't a big problem. The room was very clean and comfortable. The mattress was incredibly soft; I was genuinely surprised when I sat on it. The bed height was also perfect for me, and I had an exceptionally comfortable night's sleep. I used to feel a bit uneasy staying in hotels alone, but this place had such a good vibe! It really helped me sleep soundly. Every single staff member (the ladies and gentlemen at the front desk, the housekeepers, and the restaurant staff) was exceptionally kind and helpful. The breakfast had a wide variety of options and was beautifully presented, and the rice noodles were clean and delicious. The hotel's WeChat service was very responsive, and replies were prompt. Considering it was raining, they even offered warm water and flower cakes when I checked out (their attention to detail was truly impressive!). Although Kunming was just a transit city for me, I genuinely had an excellent experience. Next time I visit or if friends come to tour, I will definitely recommend they stay at this hotel!

The hotel is in a great location, right next to Cuihu Lake. While parking can be tricky, the valet service was always prompt. The cleanliness was also impressive. When I arrived, I tried some freshly baked flower cakes, which were absolutely delicious – I even bought a few boxes for my family before I left. They even have Dyson hairdryers, which made me feel right at home. I'll definitely stay here again next time, and I hope it continues to improve! 🥰

The front desk staff were super friendly and gave us a free room upgrade upon check-in. We asked for a quiet room, and they certainly delivered! Having a direct drinking water dispenser in the room was incredibly convenient; I didn't even need to use my own electric kettle. They provide fresh flower cakes daily, and housekeeping was prompt. Breakfast was also quite good. Every staff member we encountered was warm and polite. The hotel is located near Cuihu Lake, with bus stops nearby, making it easy to get around. We were very satisfied with our two-day stay. Oh, and they even gave us two small gifts when we checked out! Haha 😁

The weather in Kunming has been fantastic lately, and the hotel is right by Cuihu Lake, which makes for a lovely stroll. The front desk staff were really enthusiastic and helpful, giving us tips on nearby attractions. They even gave us some delicious snowflake shortbread! Zoey at checkout was wonderful and gave us a small gift, which I really appreciated. Oh, and the tea in the lobby is excellent.

Traveling with my parents, we received a free room upgrade. The room was clean and complimentary fruit was provided. The front desk staff, especially one young lady, was very patient and helpful. The hotel is very close to Cuihu Park and within walking distance of Kunming Old Street, which is incredibly convenient.

Facilities: The facilities are quite modern and up-to-date. Environment: The environment is great, and it's very close to Green Lake. Service: The front desk staff has a very good service attitude. I would recommend this hotel. It's really good overall, the only minor issue is that the room was a little small, but everything else was excellent.

Our stay was very comfortable. The staff were polite and enthusiastic, and responded quickly to our requests. The room was clean and elegant, and the bed and pillows were just right – not too hard, not too soft. Breakfast was fresh, and there was even a free late-night buffet. The location is super convenient for getting around. The old street is right behind the building, making it really easy to take photos, explore, and grab a bite to eat. Highly recommended, I'll definitely stay here again next time!
