Lazy Lehua Cottage was constructed in 2004 with respect for the aina (land). Trees were hand-cut and the property was cleared in a minimally invasive manner. Trees removed from the site were recycled into the cottage’s posts and railings to blend in with the rainforest. Select cottage furniture was hand crafted— the coffee table, bar top, and bedroom headboard were all made with local, exotic, and native woods.
