"Location: A 3-minute walk from Sakae subway station, on the north side of the station. Shopping areas are all on the south side, just across the road. The 'little sister' district, as mentioned online, is just one street away from the hotel. Facilities: The decor is a bit old-school, but it's very clean. Front Desk: Check-in was very fast, and you can get toiletries for free. Room: Pretty standard, slightly larger than the average Japanese room. My small suitcase could be fully opened on the floor. Value for Money: Considering its location around the Sakae commercial district and decent ratings, this is definitely one of the viable options."

"Stayed here for 2 nights largely due to its proximity to the Meitetsu Airport Line. The hotel is within a 10 minute walk from Nagoya Station, with no need to pull the luggage up any stairs. The room was decently sized, and has amenities to expect for a hotel of this class. View from the room was excellent, overlooking directly towards Nagoya Mirai Tower and Sakae. Front Desk service is excellent and helped me to navigate Rakuten JP to order something past midnight. They are also all able to speak good english. Breakfast was also excellent, offering Hitsumabushi and various other options. Would highly recommend this place!"

"Although the room size isn't huge, it's quite acceptable for a major city like Nagoya. Every day, after returning to the hotel, I could relax in the large public bath on the rooftop, which really helped to relieve the day's fatigue. Since I didn't use the room's bathroom, I put my suitcase in there, which effectively increased the usable space in the bedroom. Plus, the hotel provides DHC cosmetics for free, which is definitely a highlight. The hotel's location is excellent, very close to Sakae commercial district, Oasis 21, and Nagoya TV Tower. Nagoya Castle is only about a 15-minute walk away. For dinner, if you turn right out of the hotel and walk for about 5 minutes, you'll find an underground shopping street beneath the Nagoya TV Tower with all sorts of restaurants and a food supermarket. There's also a convenient store right outside the hotel. While the breakfast selection isn't incredibly diverse, I particularly enjoyed the unagi don (eel rice bowl) and ramen. The staff were very enthusiastic. Choosing this hotel for my stay was definitely a smart decision."

"Stayed with BWH for nights. Pros: The location is great. Only approx. 5 minutes walk to Sakae Station. There are many restaurants to go to. Convenience shops like Lawson and 7 eleven are just across the road. The double room itself is spacious by Japanese standards (as in the photo). Cleanness is superior. The hotel does routine daily cleaning services including replacing slippers and towels, etc. Almost all amenities are provided at the reception. Must mention that many things like face cleansing gel are from Pola. Cons: The fridge makes clear noise (even when switched to level 1), so that I have to power off the fridge before sleeping. The soundproofing can be improved. I could hear laughter and natter from the next wall (their large voice did contribute though), especially when the night was very quiet. Another one is the small chair on the corner. It kept preventing me from accessing the window side of the bed. Should've chosen a better place to place it."

"I really enjoyed my stay at VIA INN Nagoya Shinkansen-guchi! The location is excellent — it’s very close to Nagoya Station, just about a 10-minute walk away, so getting around the city is super convenient. There’s a Family Mart right downstairs and a Lawson within 3 minutes’ walk, which is very handy. The area also has plenty of great places to eat, including several ramen shops. One pleasant surprise was discovering a huge Aeon supermarket just a 10-minute walk away — and it’s open 24 hours! Perfect for grabbing late-night snacks or doing some quick shopping. The hotel itself is very clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The room felt cozy, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, it’s an excellent choice for both business and leisure travelers. Highly recommended! 🌟"

"Perfect location, just a few meters away from Nagoya Station JR and last bus stops/unloading (tours and outside Nagoya trips). Food stores are also available surrounding the hotel and BiC Camera is also located across the street. Entrance to the Underground shopping center can also be found near the hotel entrance. The room is relatively clean and the staff are courteous. Only stayed for one night but I will definitely book the hotel again if I return to Nagoya."

"This is my 1st experience staying at Via Inn. Location is good as it’s part of the JR group, though the construction at Nagoya station makes it harder to navigate even though it’s less than 8 mins walk. I am impressed with the service and the room. The room is comfortable with nice pillow and all the light buttons conveniently located. I also like the idea that they managed to arrange the bed in a different direction so the room has more space to move around even though if is a small room. Amenties are easily available at help desk. There is also reasonably priced laundry services. Service is good at front desk and I had a good evening of rest. Overall I enjoyed my time there."

"I chose this hotel mainly for its location. First, it's very close to my day tour meeting point, just across the street. Second, it's near Nagoya Station, making airport transfers convenient. Third, it's close to Takashimaya, which is great for shopping. The hotel offers complimentary tea, coffee, and toiletries on the first floor, along with harder pillows, which is a nice touch. However, the room itself is quite small; a 28-inch suitcase barely fits when opened. It's fine for one person, though. During check-in, they asked to photocopy my passport, and I'm not sure why that was necessary."

The room was clean and comfy. Staff were really nice and friendly. Enjoyed the buffet breakfast as well, like homecooked food, very comforting. And I love that they provided a warming eye mask free of charge everyday! It came with the towels. Excellent service!
