"firstly the location is not far from sakae station so it is very convenient, second the staff can understand english well so no problem in communicating, but you can not early check in before 3pm but can leave your luggages, and the amenities have all what you need they even provide pajamas daily"

"The hotel is super conveniently located right after exiting Kanayama Station; just walk through the commercial plaza. There's an Aeon mall right next door, making it incredibly easy to find places to eat, drink, and shop. The lobby even has claw machines featuring Nagoya-themed plush toys. While the breakfast selection wasn't extensive, everything tasted excellent. The room was very quiet, and overall, I was extremely satisfied."

"A very clean hotel in a great location near Nagoya Station. You can see the tracks from inside the hotel, but the soundproofing is excellent; you can't hear the trains at all.
The breakfast was excellent. The onsen (hot spring) was also very good."

"I have stayed at Sotetsu Myeongdong, Namba, Susukino and Nagoya. To me, Sotetsu brand represents excellent location. That is, within 10mins you get to train station and shopping strip, decent number of meal options around neighbourhood, Lawson/Family Mart near you always. Choosing Sotetsu means I don’t need to worry about location. This has saved me considerable amount of time researching. I’m going to Tokyo early 2027 and will be staying at Sotetsu again."

"True to Japanese style, the room was small but incredibly new and clean. The bedding, in particular, was pristine, fresh, and completely odorless. Right across the street, there's an underground shopping mall and a bus stop, perfect for basic dining, drinks, and convenience store needs. The bus to the airport is super convenient. If you head right and cross the road, you'll find a commercial plaza with an electricity tower and a small recreational park, featuring a few major brand stores. Further down is the Sakae shopping district."

"Great location with easy access to nearby attractions and transport. The amenities bar is fantastic. The bed was comfortable and the toilet was clean, which made the stay pleasant overall.
However, the room had a constant smell of fried food, which was quite distracting and affected the comfort of the stay.
Overall, a good hotel with excellent facilities, but the lingering food smell in the room is something that should be improved."

KKen SooI stayed at Comfort Inn Nagoya Sakae for 2 nights, during my trip and overall had a good experience. The location is very convenient, within walking distance to Sakae station, shopping areas, and many restaurants.
The room was clean and comfortable, Like most business hotels in Japan, the room size is a bit small, but it was still manageable for two people with luggage.
The staff were polite and helpful, and the check-in process was smooth. The hotel also felt quiet and safe at night, which made the stay more comfortable.
Overall, it is a good value hotel with a great location in Nagoya. I would recommend it for travelers who want a clean and convenient place to stay in the Sakae area.

AAnonymous UserThe room was super value for money. Decent room size given the amount that we paid per night.. and they even have a chair in the washroom so that u can sit down while doing your makeup etc??
Staff were all very friendly and kind, which made the stay very comfy and enjoyable. :) It’s a short walk from the JR station, and there’s a rather big convenience store nearby called Ministop. Very comfortable bed and pillows I love it so much.
It felt ok for me and my friend (both female) to walk back to hotel from the station at night. A couple of drinking places nearby so it’s very lively at night. I might be hesitant to stay in the area if I was alone though. But with friends it’s fine!
Also, don’t miss the entrances to the underground shopping area ESCA. Easy access to restaurants, ***** stores/pharmacies, and other stores for shopping.

There's a Lawson convenience store right downstairs, and nearby you'll find Komeda's Coffee and Sekai no Yamachan (famous for its chicken wings), along with many other shops. It's also very close to Kanayama Station, which made shopping and getting to the airport easy. For Japan, the room size was decent and had all the necessary amenities. The lobby offered free coffee, and they even thoughtfully wrote a message for concert-goers.

Convenience stores and drugstores are less than a 5-minute walk away, and there's a bus stop nearby with direct routes to famous attractions like Tokugawa-en Garden, Nagoya Castle, and Osu Shopping Street. There's also a great grilled eel restaurant close to the hotel, and their unagi don is absolutely delicious. The hotel facilities are complete, and the hygiene is consistently excellent. The breakfast, which changes daily, is also very tasty. It's an ideal choice for a trip to Nagoya.

- near JR & subway station.
- near many food & shopping areas.
- have locking areas for luggage when we want to leaves the luggages in the hotel after check-out.
The Bad:
- a bit small but expected.
- there is a step down when coming out of the bathroom and toilet. Somewhat dangerous for elderly.
- there are road works in front of the hotel causing it a bit troublesome going in & out.
We did not managed to book a room with 2 beds. So, we booked a double bed (about 1.4m) a bit cramped but still okay compare to some other hotel double beds.

GGbooThis is a Meitetsu Inn property, so the rooms are on the smaller side, with typical Japanese unit baths. At night, the street below transforms into a vibrant, neon-lit entertainment district.
The location is excellent, very close to Nagoya Station and Nagoya Castle, and right by Hisaya-odori Subway Exit 4, just a five-minute walk away.
The breakfast on the first floor, though simple, is quite good. The restaurant offers complimentary tea and coffee all day (until 9 PM) and has a microwave. Vending machines are located on the 4th and 11th floors. There's also a self-service laundry.
Amenities are available for self-service right next to the elevators on the first floor, facing the front desk.
The front desk service was the most 'Showa-era' (old-fashioned, warm, and attentive) hospitality I've ever encountered – incredibly friendly.
Perhaps because it was a Saturday, the price I paid seemed to be about double the usual rate. However, overall, it offers great value for money. Highly recommended!

GGuest UserThe hotel was very conveniently located, close to the live house we were visiting that weekend. The facilities were very clean, including the bathroom, and the beds were comfortable. We slept well. The staff was efficient and helpful, and they kindly stored our luggage both before check-in and after check-out.
The only downside is that the hotel is located in a very lively area of Nagoya, and it was quite noisy outside until late at night. We personally didn’t have any trouble sleeping, and there was no noise from neighboring rooms, but it’s something worth keeping in mind.
