"Being a Marriott property, the facilities, service, and cleanliness were all quite good. It's very close to Nagoya Station, with plenty of restaurants nearby, and the underground shopping street also offers many food options. Getting to the Sakae shopping district is convenient as well."

"The biggest plus is the location. As a solo female traveler visiting Nagoya for the first time, I felt very safe. It's only a few minutes' walk from Nagoya Station, and there's an LV store right downstairs. The area reminds me a bit of the shops above Guangzhou's Taikoo Hui. There are plenty of dining options nearby too. However, I had to request housekeeping; my room wasn't cleaned until the fourth day. I later found out it was because I hadn't hung the 'please clean' sign on the door. Other than that, everything else was fine. Hotels in Japan at this price point tend to be on the smaller side. The complimentary breakfast from the bakery downstairs was nice – a donut, a croissant, and a drink every day. It's definitely better value than buying it separately. If you're traveling solo and prioritize safety and convenience, this hotel is a great choice."

"I came for a concert, and the hotel is right behind Niterra, so it was super convenient to just step out. It's also very close to Kanayama Station, which made shopping and getting to the airport easy. For Japan, the room size was decent and had all the necessary amenities. The lobby offered free coffee, and they even thoughtfully wrote a message for concert-goers."

"Exit 4 of Hisaya-Odori Station on the subway is the closest, but there are no escalators or elevators to ground level, so it might be difficult with heavy luggage. I stayed here because I had a live show at the Aichi Prefectural Arts Theater. It's within walking distance, and there's an underground shopping mall (Central Park) across from Exits 3 and 4 (Otsu-dori) on Hisaya-Odori, which connects to Sakae Station and has a variety of shops, so it's safe even in the rain. Nagoya Castle is also within walking distance, so the location was excellent. My single, non-smoking room was fully equipped (desk, chair, kettle, folding mirror, desk lamp, etc.). There was an outlet by the bedside, and the room light could be turned on and off with a remote control. There was also a standby light, so even those who don't like complete darkness would have no problem. Welcome drinks were available until late at night, and I didn't use the kettle in the room. There were several types of tea and three types of soup. Since it's Nagoya, breakfast isn't necessary. For 800 yen, it was pretty reasonable. There were four types of bread: the salted butter roll and croissant, which were the same for both days, but the other two were different. The boiled rice* was delicious, with a nice salty flavor and a soft yolk. The curry was filling and packed with vegetables. All the staff were very nice, and overall I would recommend this hotel."

"Being a corner room, the room is spacious, which allows to have 2 luggages open up in the room while still plenty of space to move around. There is a massage chair in the room, which is a nice to have for relaxing at the end of the day. The view from the room was nice, and it was not too noisy despite being close to the street. There are Lawson, 7Eleven, Family Mart nearby within walking distance. The hotel is walkable distance to Nagoya station. There is a lift nearby which can lead to the station via an underground street, which makes it convenient if you have to transport your luggages to the station, but it takes some time to navigate through it. The only problem we have with the hotel was that there was no free parking even for people staying at the hotel, and the paid parking provided by the hotel does not allow entry/exit after 23:00, so we have to park our car at a paid parking around the corner instead after our late night out."

"We chose this hotel because it’s located near Nagoya Station, which offered some convenience as the station also had a bus interchange which could bring us to some places around the city. However, there was quite a bit of construction which made moving our luggages on check-in/out day quite a hassle as we had to drag them around the construction site, and the actual walking time taken to/from the station was around ~12 minutes instead. Other than this, the hotel room and toilet were clean, and the staff were also friendly and helpful, and able to converse well in English. There was also coin laundry available which allowed us to wash our clothes, and there was a machine at the hotel lobby which allowed us to exchange notes for smaller change (smaller notes or coins). We could also refill our water bottles at the first floor, although only at certain timings of the day. The reception also had a weighing scale which was useful as we could weigh our luggages. Overall, a good experience staying in this hotel."

"My main reason for visiting Nagoya this time was due to bus travel (the Inotani Sugihara line breakdown affected the Hida Limited Express and Takayama Main Line, impacting my Toyama-Takayama-Nagoya itinerary). This led me to discover that Nagoya Station has two bus terminals. One is the JR Nagoya Station (Shinkansen Exit) terminal, located on the plaza outside the Taiko-dori exit. It's very close to the hotel, easily visible, and I timed it at a 5-minute walk. It's very convenient for taking buses to and from Takayama. Although there was road construction, you just follow the barriers and cross the road to get there. The other is the Meitetsu Bus Center (Nagoya). When we arrived via the Meitetsu line from the airport, we dropped off a suitcase at the hotel first, then came back to the Meitetsu Bus Center to catch our bus. This detour took about 40 minutes round trip. Specifically, you walk from 'Sakura-dori Exit' towards 'Taiko-dori Exit' and 'Shinkansen North Exit'. Once you see 'Shinkansen North Exit', walk a few more steps out the door, and that's the JR Nagoya Bus Station. Cross the road to get to the hotel. So, for those using the Meitetsu line, Meitetsu buses, subway, or Takashimaya, it's a bit of a distance. The hotel allows early luggage storage, and check-in is at 2 PM. You can pick up toothbrushes, toothpaste, coffee, and tea from the lobby yourself, but there are no makeup removers or skincare products. You need to use your key card to access the elevators, and two bottles of water are provided daily. The room was new and spacious, allowing us to fully open two large suitcases at the same time. Staying here on our last day was great for organizing our luggage. There's a convenience store next to the hotel and a drugstore across the street."

"The hotel is super conveniently located right after exiting Kanayama Station; just walk through the commercial plaza. There's an Aeon mall right next door, making it incredibly easy to find places to eat, drink, and shop. The lobby even has claw machines featuring Nagoya-themed plush toys. While the breakfast selection wasn't extensive, everything tasted excellent. The room was very quiet, and overall, I was extremely satisfied."
