"There is no coffee or tea provided complimentarily. There’s no spoon for stirring coffee even if you buy your own coffee or tea. So you also need to buy spoon from convenient shop or bring along a spoon from home when you travel to the hotel. The cleaning is not everyday when when I stay there for 11 nights. When clean up signage is out in the door they are being ignored. So you will not know what to do with the rubbish piled up in the rubbish bin. Even when cleaning was done, the standard was not good. Can still find stain in the sink and the bath. Some of the personnel at front desk also do not provide the standard greetings that would expect from service provider when eyes met. I was there tired and wanted to have a check in early, one of the girl said no negotiation check in at 3 pm. Then another said can check in earlier by 1 hour at 2 pm and and pay 1200 yen. So they don’t really know what they are doing? Instruction on early check in not clear? They also need to pay attention to the maintenance of the room and that depends on the cleaning crew and the maintenance team. Don’t stay near the vending machine room, you will hear dropping of the soft drinks. Beside the human factor at the front desk and the cleaning crew, the restaurant is good and the location is great. Bus stops to the city central is 5 minutes away and if walk to the city is about 15 to 20 minutes depending on where you go. Longer if you get distracted."

"The room was clean and comfy. Staff were really nice and friendly. Enjoyed the buffet breakfast as well, like homecooked food, very comforting. And I love that they provided a warming eye mask free of charge everyday! It came with the towels. Excellent service!"

"The location is very convenient, close to Meitetsu Nagoya Station and the bus terminal. I've stayed here before after exploring the surrounding area. There are several large department stores and drugstores nearby, making shopping easy. There are also plenty of dining options in the vicinity. The staff are very enthusiastic. The room isn't huge, but it's well laid out, and the bed isn't very big, which is perfect for a solo traveler. You can pick up yukata and various toiletries yourself. The breakfast is good, with delicious local specialties. You can store your luggage, and the lobby is a great spot to relax with a coffee. Excellent!"

"The hotel is located about 10mins walk from the main Sakae tourist area, but there are a lot of bars right next to the hotel so it might not be the best if you're looking for a quiet night stay."

"The hotel has a new and an old wing. My discounted room was in the old wing, so the facilities were a bit dated. Nevertheless, the Meitetsu property was still very well-equipped with everything I needed, and it was spotlessly clean. Its proximity to Kanayama Station made visiting the aquarium very convenient. The front desk staff were also very friendly."

"The room is tiny, and it takes some getting used to the cramped space, but it's well-equipped with everything you need. I even managed to squeeze a large suitcase between the bed and the TV without tripping over it. Despite the windows facing the railway, you can barely hear the trains. The hotel has its own onsen, but I didn't use it. There's no room key, just a coded lock, and check-out isn't required – you just leave, which is convenient. You need to pick up pajamas and a suitable pillow from reception. On the first day, there were no soft pillows left, and I slept poorly on a bead pillow :( The breakfast is basic and always the same. Out of 4 days, I went twice and then stopped. Curry isn't really breakfast food, and the salad, omelets, sausages, and pastries quickly get boring. Overall, for 5-7 thousand rubles a night, the hotel is more than okay. However, during F1 days, it cost 27.6 thousand rubles per night, which is a massive rip-off, even with its ideal location for those using the express bus to Suzuka Circuit from Nagoya Station."

"The biggest plus is the location. As a solo female traveler visiting Nagoya for the first time, I felt very safe. It's only a few minutes' walk from Nagoya Station, and there's an LV store right downstairs. The area reminds me a bit of the shops above Guangzhou's Taikoo Hui. There are plenty of dining options nearby too. However, I had to request housekeeping; my room wasn't cleaned until the fourth day. I later found out it was because I hadn't hung the 'please clean' sign on the door. Other than that, everything else was fine. Hotels in Japan at this price point tend to be on the smaller side. The complimentary breakfast from the bakery downstairs was nice – a donut, a croissant, and a drink every day. It's definitely better value than buying it separately. If you're traveling solo and prioritize safety and convenience, this hotel is a great choice."

"Very close to Sakae Station and the Bus Terminal, but if you have a heavy carrier, the walk may be lengthened to an extra block due to a lack of elevators on the nearer side to the hotel. Interesting style of a sliding door between the bedroom and hall/powder room area.  No tub, only shower booth with shower gel/shampoo/conditioner. Free coffee daily from 7am to midnight, with breakfast cereal in the morning, and some tea bags. Downside for smokers is, no smoking area in the vacinity. One can smoke at the 7/11 couple of blocks away. One can get a portable ash tray and smoke outside the hotel building.  There seems to be bike rental service available, which I never got to."

"The hotel's location is great, very convenient for transportation. However, it's in a busy area and the soundproofing isn't very good, so it can be a bit noisy. The cleanliness wasn't ideal; the housekeeping staff seemed to cut corners, and dirty towels and sheets were often overlooked. Still, for the price, it offers good value for money."

"It is very close to JR Sengusa Station and Subway Imike Station. Transportation is convenient. Find peace amidst the noise. There are a lot of delicious food around, including Sekai no Yamano, Fujiichi Ichiban, Amisen... they are all nearby. Twenty years ago when I was studying abroad, I lived in Imike, near Takamou Shrine, so I chose this place to come back and have a look. The breakfast buffet is also delicious and the service is very considerate. The large bathhouse is very comfortable. Looking forward to seeing you again."
