"I enjoyed my stay at Villea Rompin Resort, especially as a business traveller looking for a quick rest. The location is quite far from town, but the beachfront setting creates a very calm and relaxing environment—perfect to unwind before a hectic work schedule. The breakfast selection was reasonable, parking was ample, and the lobby is spacious as the resort itself is quite large. Amenities were a bit limited, and basic items like a toothbrush were not provided. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, and I would consider coming back again in the future. 🌊✨"

"Stay for 3 days and the checkinn was smooth. Staff were good also. Room cleanliness acceptable. No lift only stairs. Theres a supermarket beside the hotel. Across the road got a few restaurant at night and morning."

"I've stay for business purpose. A little recommendation for the hotel: 1. Hotel signboard should be put on the opposite road of entrance. This should help your customers to see it more clearly 2. This hotel got it's own private beach and recreation ground. Please clean it properly. Your customer will enjoy staying at your hotel especially families & business travellers 3. Your wifi coverage to be able to cover all the location of chalets & hotel room. Really advisable and helpful to the customers since the telco network quit weak there."

"I had a pleasant 4-night stay at the resort. The room was clean and comfortable, with clean sheets, a cozy bed, and strong air conditioning—though it does take a while to cool the room, so having a fan would have been a great addition. A plus point was the washroom—there was hot water for the shower and strong water pressure for both the shower and toilet, which was especially refreshing after a long day out. Housekeeping was done on the third day. The room was also spacious enough to spread out 2 medium suitcases. The location is excellent—just a short 5–7 minute walk from the jetty, with the beach right in front of the resort. They also helped arrange luggage transport to and from the jetty, which was very convenient. The buffet breakfast is simple and decent, with items like fried noodles, 2-3 fried/steamed items (samosas, curry puffs, spring rolls, siew mai, bao, pancakes, waffles, french toast, pita sandwich, etc.) fresh fruit, bread with spreads (butter, kaya, chocolate, honey), cereals, and an egg station. After a few days, the options do feel repetitive, but it’s still a fuss-free start to the day. I came mainly for a diving trip, so I didn’t use the resort activities. The beachfront restaurant was a highlight—great spot to enjoy sunset during dinner. The menu has a mix of local, Asian fusion, and Western food. I’d recommend the beef pepperoni pizza, grilled chicken chop and fried chicken wings; though the nachos were unfortunately unavailable. The resort is peaceful and quiet, not noisy at all. It seems to cater to a wide range of guests—I noticed a mix of families and groups of friends, which gave it a relaxed and inclusive atmosphere. There’s also a water refill station, which I appreciated, and the owner and staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Overall, a simple and peaceful place to stay, especially if you want something close to the beach."

"Excellent location where hotel provide buggy services from room to any location inside the resort. Staff were all friendly and helpful with our needs. Delivering of items when we requesting also very timely. Reception counter also provide snorkelling, diving, and other water sports booking with reasonable charges. Renting of equipment also available if needed. However, the sofa appeared to be a bit dusty below the cushion. Ants were seen inside the toilet sink. Otherwise the experience will be even more better."

"Good location which is near to the main Rombin town area , arrived at around 150pm and the reception don allow us to check in as check in is on 2PM ! But after round of discussion they allow us to check in 10 min eariler . what a great service ! "

"We chose Japamala Tioman for our wedding anniversary and this boutique resort did not disappoint. Service was impeccable from the time we were picked up at the ferry terminal at Kampung Genting until the time we left. Kudos to the manger Kenny and his team for their hospitality in making our anniversary memorable. Food was in general above average (dessert was fantastic) and some dishes were a bit salty as we don’t consume too salty food in our diet. We gave feedback and to our surprise the staff took it seriously as our subsequent dishes served weren’t as salty. The rooms are clean and the sea view fantastic, allowing us to take in the magnificent sunset views every evening. Not much to do, as this resort is more for guest to disconnect. Hiking to Batu Permata and to Kampung Genting was doable. Canoeing and snorkelling by the resort was great. Overall we enjoyed our stay there. Thanks Japamala!"

"Overall, we had a good stay at Paya Beach Resort. We visited during the off-peak weekday period, so it was very quiet and peaceful—perfect if you’re looking to relax and avoid crowds. One downside was the number of mosquitoes, especially when opening the door, so that’s something to be mindful of. Another small issue was the exit green light in the room—it couldn’t be turned off at night, which felt a bit unusual and slightly disruptive when trying to sleep. On the positive side, the breakfast buffet was enjoyable with a good selection of options. Overall, a nice and tranquil place to stay, with a few minor areas that could be improved."
