"We liked Akira a lot! It’s super spacious and comfy rooms were really nice. The bathroom was also big and all in all super clean. We had a pool view apartment. Only thing in the room was the quite loud aircon. We tried to get it into a night mode, but it didn’t work. And without you cannot do it. So we slept with earplugs. The breakfast was the best we had on our Southeast Asia Tour. Of course the jam and stuff really sweet and 50/50 Asian food but nevertheless really nice. Sometimes the English of the staff was not perfect so there were some misunderstandings but all were really nice. They also brought us to the ferry with the car. We would recommend the hotel and also come back here!"

"Although I give the resort good marks overall I still have somewhat mixed feelings. For two days of the trip we stayed in a superior bungalow which is obviously the oldest part of the resort accommodations. They are really very small and there is very little room for bags and clothes and the bathroom is very small. Also our room was back to back attached to another bungalow and there was very little sound proofing between the rooms.
After two nights we upgraded to the newest part of the resort near the pool....and yes...it cost a bit more. But the rooms overlooking the pool are much more spacious and have adequate closet space and bathroom . They gave us a discount on the upgrade and it was well worth it.
The breakfast was adequate but not extensive.
The staff was very helpful.
It's in a good location on the beach near the ferry port....which was handy."

The reception staff did change my room to another fan room which was fair but an upgrade would have been better considering I had to pay out of my own pocket for anti-histamine tablets and creams and painkillers 👎👎👎

"The hotel's advantages are its location and good breakfast, complete with a coffee machine. However, the rooms are a bit tired and had a slight musty smell. You could leave the AC on when leaving the bungalow; I never turned mine off, and the musty smell wasn't noticeable afterward. The AC blows directly onto the bed, but there's a handy, tall drying rack. I used to hang my clothes on it and place it between the bed and the AC, so the airflow would hit the rack instead."

"I stayed in Street Hostel during my trip to Koh Lipe. It’s very convenient location. Only about 10 min walk from port. It’s in the main walking street, very close to the beach. The room is clean, big bed. Common space is also clean. WiFi is sufficient for a video calls. They also give you a discount for the place next door for food (very cozy and delicious Thai food)."

"My friend stayed in room G22 on the ground floor, and found it quite good.
1. **Location:** Upon arrival at Pattaya Beach, simply walk left. You can entrust your luggage to the hotel staff and walk over yourself, which saves 10 per person per trip on island transfer fees.
2. The main entrance offers easy access to Walking Street. For Sunset Beach, exit via the back door at the top of the property, turn right, and it's a short walk away.
3. The breakfast spread is excellent and varied, featuring a wide range of options like vegetables, fruits, meats, carbs, milk, and eggs, easily fulfilling your daily dietary needs.
4. We stayed in a garden view room, which offered great value for money. Although it was a bit of a walk to our room at the top of the property, there was a complimentary shuttle service available.

"It is a nice location in the jungle and close to the main beach. The prices are really high though, especially in high season. The bungalows and the whole resort are really outdated and would need a proper renovation. Everything feels and looks old and worn out. That bed was comfy though and the breakfast was nice too. On one day they didn’t clean my room and also forgottto refill my water, which should absolutely not happen in this price category. The staff was super friendly and helpful and were super happy that I as a “Farang” talked in Thai the whole time :-)"

"This is the best hotel on Koh Lipe! The pool access room is spacious and thoughtfully designed with stylish details. The bed and pillows are incredibly comfortable.
The beach is beautiful, with water colors as stunning as the Maldives or Seychelles. There are two swimming pools, and a DJ plays by the beachfront pool during the day, creating a very pleasant atmosphere.
The food at the restaurant is delicious, and breakfast is excellent with a good variety including cheeses, salmon, and various fruits. Service was a bit slow during the day but improved significantly for dinner.
They offer water activities like kayaks and paddleboards, with the first hour being free.
The gym is small but has all the essential equipment."

"We enjoyed our stay in The Green Hotel Koh Lipe. The room was spacious, but a little dated. The room was clean but had some mosquitos and flys as the bathroom wasn’t fully sealed from the hallways and the light drew them in. Located about 10 minutes away from all beaches. Staff were friendly but not always present. Pool looked nice but we didn’t use it. We had an issue with the air conditioning in our room but were offered an upgraded room while they fixed it which we really appreciated."

Let me provide an objective overview of my stay.
👍🏻**The Good:**
First off, the hotel staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, with every single team member demonstrating professionalism. Their attentive and friendly service truly made us feel happy and valued. The hotel boasts a superb location; its private beach is fronted by reefs and mature trees, offering plenty of shade, which made it pleasantly cool for daytime activities. Every single bungalow provides a stunning sea view! Plus, they offer a complimentary transfer to the pier when it's time to depart.
😮💨**The Not-So-Good:**
On the downside, the hotel's facilities are a bit dated. The floorboards in our room creaked noticeably when we walked around. We also found quite a few mosquitoes and other insects in the bungalow, and the shower water pressure was rather low. The breakfast is à la carte, but the food quality was just average.
**In Summary:**
If you're planning a trip to the island, I'd suggest splitting your stay: two nights near Pattaya Beach (by the pier) and two nights on the Sunrise side.
**A Final Clarification:**
The hotel does not provide complimentary kayaks. However, there are numerous kayak rental options available right along the beach.

FForeverloved33We stayed one night and mostly relaxing at the place. Excellent location, on sunrise beach and then can walk to sunset beach in the evening which is nearby, less crowded beach. Service by the hotel staff is also excellent 😁 The breakfast and lunch we ordered was good..
Although do think they should make it adult only hotel as kids in the other villas during the day can be noisy which can’t be avoided. Otherwise Great for couples for special occasion or a romantic getaway 👍🏼

The bungalows are incredibly charming, and the location is perfect – right on the beach and just a 2-minute walk from the town center. The rooms were cleaned daily, and the staff are wonderfully kind, friendly, and attentive to your every need. Plus, the restaurant food is excellent! The only minor drawback was some construction noise quite early in the morning. Thank you for everything! 🙏🏼

The beach is tucked away at the far end of Sunrise Beach, making it wonderfully secluded from the crowds and the long-tail boats.
The food was amazing — everything we tried was delicious! We especially loved that breakfast could either be enjoyed at the restaurant or served right to our room for a more relaxing morning.
The staff were incredibly warm, attentive, and always ready to help. Plus, the resort provides free snorkel gear and kayaks for guests who want to explore the beautiful waters nearby.
All in all, it was a superb stay — excellent service, top-notch views, and pure serenity. We loved it to bits and would come back in a heartbeat! 🌴✨

MM17896****Pros: This is my second time staying here. I switched to a room with a bathtub this time. I mainly chose it for the modern decor, good service, and the fact that you can kayak and snorkel every day on Sunrise Beach. The noodles and pancakes for breakfast are also delicious.
Cons: The room had a lingering renovation smell, and the tap water wasn't clean; the shower filter turned black after just one use. The whole room felt quite new, but the showerhead was old-fashioned.

AAlaosuoniThis is my second consecutive year staying at this hotel. Booking a sea view room this time made the experience even better. Our room was conveniently located to the right of the lawn, just a 30-meter walk from the restaurant, which offered direct sea views. The rooms here are incredibly spacious and comfortable; I'll definitely book a full week on my next visit! Breakfast was pretty good, with freshly made noodle soup that was very satisfying. During the off-season, they even offer a 10% dining discount voucher. We could bring our fresh catch back from fishing directly to the restaurant to be cooked for 300 Baht per kilogram. It's a decent price; even though it's 50 Baht more expensive than the walking street, I personally feel Benhard Restaurant offers a much better and cleaner environment.

11500100****The hotel's view is truly stunning. Adding an extra bed for 700 baht was more cost-effective than booking a room for four people. We were given a pool-view room on the second floor of the first building, which offered a breathtaking direct sea view. The hotel has staff waiting at the pier to transport guests to the hotel, and luggage is also delivered to the room. The only downside to the room was that ants were common, so it's best to put food scraps or trash in the outdoor bins and keep them away from the room door. Breakfast was plentiful, and the view from the restaurant was incredibly beautiful. Getting to the beach wasn't particularly far. You can also arrange with tour operators to be picked up and dropped off at the beach below the hotel for excursions. The pool and restaurant close at 5 PM daily. Although it's a bit far from the shopping street, there's a free shuttle service that runs continuously, so you don't have to wait too long. The day before check-out, you can coordinate with the front desk about what time you'll need to go to the pier the next day, and they'll help you with your luggage. Overall, I was quite satisfied with this hotel and would choose it again for my next visit. This trip to Thailand was quite long, and I compared several apps for booking hotels and flights. While Trip.com was a bit more expensive than other platforms, I felt their overall service was much better. You could reach a human agent even at night, and they made a great effort to communicate with the hotel and respond promptly. Koh Lipe is a beautiful island, definitely worth a relaxing stay.

MM49548****The room's location was great, close to the pedestrian street and right by the beach. However, the room was very damp, and the bed felt perpetually wet. I booked a non-air-conditioned room, which was cheaper. The first day, the towels were white, the second day they were older, and by the third day, they were stiff, yellow, and scratchy. During cleaning, my clothes that I specifically left by the bed were placed on the floor. Overall, I was quite dissatisfied.

GGuest UserWe stayed four nights at the hotel. The location is excellent, everything is close by, yet it's quiet and homey. There's a beautiful pond with water lilies in front of the hotel, where storks come to hunt frogs. In the evening, the frogs sing.
The room was very clean, they cleaned it every day, refilled the water, and replenished shampoos and shower gels.
Breakfast is standard—toast with jam, vegetables, and scrambled eggs or an omelet.
Tea/coffee/cocoa.
The only problem is that mosquitoes can be present in the evening—you can't sit outside for long because they start to devour you.
We really liked the hotel.

GGuest UserA staff member met us at the pier for a pickup, which was very convenient. I chose a second-floor room, mainly because I'm a little concerned about bugs on the ground floor. Breakfast was à la carte and Western-style (haha), I'm personally not quite used to it, but it was perfectly edible. You can borrow kayaks and snorkeling gear right from the restaurant, which is incredibly convenient. Highly recommended! I would definitely stay here again on my next visit.
