I recently stayed at St. Giles Southkey, Johor, and had a fantastic experience. The hotel is located in Mid Valley Southkey, making it incredibly convenient for shopping, dining, and entertainment. The direct connection to the mall was a huge plus!
Rooms & Comfort:
The room was spacious, modern, and well-maintained. The bed was comfortable, and the overall cleanliness was impressive. The large windows offered a great city view, adding to the pleasant ambiance.
Amenities & Facilities:
The infinity pool on the rooftop was a highlight – perfect for relaxing with a great view of Johor Bahru. The gym was well-equipped, and the breakfast buffet had a good variety of local and international dishes.
Service:
The staff were friendly, professional, and attentive. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and any requests were handled promptly.
Location:
Being attached to Mid Valley Southkey Mall means plenty of dining and shopping options just steps away. It’s also a short drive to the JB checkpoint, making it a great choice for visitors from Singapore.
Overall:

Location was very good, which is linked to The Mall. Not only does the Mall have a huge variety of restaurants, movie theatre, gaming, VR & escape rooms etc. to keep the family entertained, it also has a good mix of mid to higher range shopping outlets. You can even book a 3D2N stay with facial, hair salons treatments, relaxing spa massage with dental visits and even health screenings thrown in. While it’s highly recommended, it does come with a pricer tag which is fine if you don’t intend to drive.

Great location and spacious room, generally quite clean as well.
There are Certain aspects on the amenities and service to improve on as well. There were no bottled water provided in room and I was told that I can only get water from the dispenser in the pantry. Not what I would expect from a 4 star hotel. Shaving kit and some other toiletries were also not provided in room, have to call to request for it. Lastly, I did not want my room to be made up as it was just a short stay for me so i hanged the do not disturb tag on the door. However this was not respected and the staffs proceeded to enter and make up the room.

Excellent serive. This is the 2nd time I have stayed in this hotel. Overall service from checkin (FOH), daily breakfast (F&B Team), room cleaning (Housekeeping Team), to Doorman/Security team are superb! All service staffs provide excellent service and maintain polite and all smiles despite the overwhelming guests and high demand. Keep up the work! And thanks for keeping us safe and welcome. I'll come back again!

Stay here for the logistics location. Breakfast totally not up to the par, really need to be improved. Overall, not worth for the price paid.

Perfect location right at a shopping mall convenient for dropping off your shopping stuff.
Breakfast has a lot of variety.

A clean place with hot water n comfortable bed . Breakfast is convenient but not yummy . Sambal chilli is nice. Live station is noodle station and egg station.
Saw small cockroaches 🪳 at bread station . Argh! Stop our breakfast right away. 😕
