Man Chen Resort (Lijiang Old Town South Gate Mufu Branch)

Clean and good location, only 5 mins walk to South Gate. We stayed 3 nights here. They provided free afternoon tea upon request. They also arranged free transportation to Lijiang Railway Station for us.

Located just a few mins walk from 忠义市场entrance to the ancient city. Room facilities are great! 峰兄has done his utmost to make sure I have a good stay, from coordinating check in, sharing food reco, and even preparing a To- go breakfast for my early morning out to Yulong mountain.

Best of the best hotel. First, if you stay 3 nights or more, there is free shuttle service both ways between Airport. The hotel use 7 seats car which is very comfortable. The hotel located in a perfect location, right in edge of the Lijiang old town. So we don't have to drag our luggage through uneven stone path. Still we can reach the old town in a few steps. The old town at south gate has lots of nice alley, quite and peaceful. Also close to morning market in a few minutes walk. The room is spacious and equipped with gadgets such as automated toilet, heater, moisture machine, chinese voice control (it is fun if you can speak some chinese). They provide fruits, soft drinks, water, rose cake, tea in the room free of charge. Cleanliness was always great. The hotel can manage tour or car hire with driver for you at reasonable price (I did check the price before booking). The staffs were very helpful. They might not speak english but I used google translate/wechat to translate. It took some time but they were happy to help with smile. The most important part is the price. Too good to be true!!!! It is not the cheapest in old town, but I'm sure it worth the price I paid or even more. Happy that I found this hidden gem.

My stay at the Man Chen Resort was truly exceptional. Arranging for the hotel pick up is very easy through wechat. The staff at the hotel were incredibly kind and helpful, assisting me with my luggage and providing valuable recommendations for exploring the area. They were always available to answer any questions I had, ensuring that my stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. 蔡先生 even prepared bread and milk for me, knowing that I'll be going Jade Dragon Snow Mountain early in the morning the next day. The room I stayed in was an oasis of tranquility, clean and beautifully decorated. The attention to detail was truly impressive, creating a relaxing and inviting atmosphere. Just look at my uplaoded photos and see for yourself. The room is very spacious, I'm able to open up my luggage fully and still walk around the room easily. The location of the resort was ideal, just a short 2 mins walk from the South Gate of Lijiang Old Town. The Old Town exit is just beside the hotel. This allowed me to easily explore the charming and culturally rich town while still enjoying the peaceful ambiance of the resort. There are convenience stores near the hotel as well. I highly recommend the Man Chen Resort to anyone seeking a memorable stay in Lijiang. The exceptional hospitality, pristine accommodations, and convenient location make it a truly outstanding choice. Stayed 4 days 3 night. This is a very new boutique hotel opened on Jul 2024. The location at the south gate facing the main road. Very convenient for us with big luggage, don't have to drag into the ancient town. Behind the hotel is the ancient town. There is an alley next to the hotel that leads to the ancient town.The rooms are very high standards in terms of amenities, cleanliness and environment The hotel and rooms interior is modern contemporary design, environment is peaceful and quiet, earthy colour and soft lighting makes us feel very relax. No smoke or odour smell in the room. Bedsheet, pillow case and towels are clean and fresh. The rooms sound proof is very good. Bed and sofa are comfortable and powerful hot and cold shower. All fixtures, shower screen and electrical appliances are good quality. Rooms provide brand new rubber slipper for outdoor use. The hotel has two washer and two dryers, a small gym and a few tea rooms for guest to use. The breakfast is served at 8am with local delights. Fresh brew coffee is available. The owner is a very young and enthusiastic young man. Very friendly and personally attend us to ensure we enjoy a comfortable stay. He even personally drive us to the lijiang romance park. The hotel provides pickup and drop off at airport. When we checked out they gave us some Lijiang souvenirs If you are looking for a quiet and relax stay, I fully recommend this hotel.
