"If you are looking for the perfect combination of homely modern comforts in an authentic local experience, Bivou is the place for you. Bivou is an oasis of calmlocated conveniently in a side alley off the main street of Shuhe town. The local and western Food was delicious as they were made with greens from their own garden. We really appreciated the thoughtful help with drying our shoes and clothes when we experience rather wet weather. The personal service is excellent from staff like May and the owner who is a Singaporean who actively features local produce and businesses makes the stay most enriching. We enjoyed visiting a Naxi Art Gift shop’得鱼纳西原创礼物’ that had really unique Dongba gifts that was introduced to us. It’s located right next to the dragon pond and garden which is beautiful and quiet in the evening. If you are visiting snow jade mountain, it’s a shorter journey over from Shuhe town too."

"If it were possible to give more than 5 stars for service, we would. Welcomed at the alley by the manager, greeted with warm smiles and great hospitality towards the kids by giving us a free upgrade to a bigger room (based on availability). Breakfast choices were simple, healthy, and fulfilling each day. Really nothing beats a slow morning looking out at the majestic mountain. The hotel staff were all approachable and easily reached via WeChat, they really went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met. Rooms were clean and spacious! They also offer a complimentary tea set, a free shuttle to an ancient town of our choice, and a free airport transfer. The hotel is a little hard to find at first, but we had no trouble getting Didi in and out daily. Would stay again if we come back to Lijiang!"

"We were upgraded to a premium room on a high floor with a great mountain view, even catching a glimpse of a snow-capped peak. The room was spacious, and there was plenty of drinking water. The second floor has a laundry room and a gym, so the facilities are excellent. Breakfast was very rich and delicious; the local rice noodles were particularly unique and tasty. They even have robots that deliver supplies, which is convenient. The only downside was the small size of the tissues. When I mentioned it to the front desk, they said it was a standardized provision from headquarters, which really doesn't match the brand's caliber."

"One of the most satisfying parts of my Lijiang trip was booking this hotel. First off, the hotel environment is truly wonderful. I could see the snowy mountains right from my room. Since I didn't want to rush out early and come back late this trip, I set an alarm to wake up, watch the sunrise from bed, and then go back to sleep! Secondly, the staff here are incredibly nice and provide excellent service. Not only did they upgrade our room, but they also helped us arrange transportation to the ancient town and airport transfer on our last day. Every day, they'd ask us what we wanted for our main breakfast dish the next morning, and the breakfast buffet had plenty of options, including fruit, and the coffee was really aromatic~ Also, the hotel's location is super convenient for getting to both Lijiang Ancient Town and Shuhe Ancient Town… All in all, I had a fantastic four-day, three-night stay at Yundu.
