Lijiang Anlu Private Soup Hotel

Very enthusiastic team who took the initiative to reach out weeks before we arrived in Lijiang. Communication mostly done via WeChat was pretty smooth from arranging pick-up from train station to helping us arrange a private day trip to 玉龙雪山 Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. Location is strategically location walking distance to the market square where there are plenty of F&Bs and bars to fit your schedule from day to night. The host would also provide recommendation on Didi drop-off point most conveniently located to the accommodation. This information is not readily available on those online map apps so we are very appreciative of guidance to navigate around the Lijiang ancient city conveniently. Do note the stone paths are uneven with many steps so do remember to wear a pair of thick/comfortable walking shoes! Did not manage to try the breakfast provided in the accommodations given our day started early. However, we were delighted to have a medicinal bath to relax after the long day outside. The accommodation includes a great bird eye view of the ancient city as well. Pretty private to chill in without the public crowd. It was a very last minute trip and I came here without a lot of planning, the staffs are very welcoming and helpful, even helped to plan trips for me. The view is great, a quiet place in the middle of old town so never feel bored at all day and night. High appreciated for the warm hosting.

We stayed here for 4 nights in Lijiang and felt so well taken care of by the attentive and warm hotel staff, who upgraded us for the first half of our stay for free and saw to our every need and request so quickly. For example we were heading up to Yulong Snow Mountain and needed a new SD card. The staff kindly ordered and had delivered to us in a matter of hours before we even reached the hotel. 🥹 The hotel is also beautifully furnished, with a nice modern luxe feel for the rooms and dining areas. Although it is a little hard to get to as it’s situated near the peak of Lijiang Ancient City, it offers a beautiful view of the whole city especially at night. Don’t worry about having to bring your luggages up the cobblestoned slopes yourself as well, as the hotel staff will arrange for people to help carry them on your behalf.
