"The hotel feels stuck in another era. Everything is dated and pale, with interiors that seem from the 1980s. The shower has separate hot and cold valves, weak pressure, and poor temperature control. Lighting in the bathroom is dim and cold, making it hard to see clearly.
The beds are extremely hard. It took a few nights to get used to them, but they’re still uncomfortable. Some staff are polite, others quite rude. When I extended my stay, they couldn’t adjust the rate, so I had to rebook through Trip.com.
Breakfast is mediocre, with limited edible options. The location is great, right by the night market and across from the Marriott. The gym is excellent and well equipped, probably the best part of the hotel. The terrace pool also looks nice.
The place has good potential, but it feels like a ghost of what it once was. Many facilities are closed or underused. If they ever renovate it, it could become a top hotel again. For now, it’s an affordable but tired four-star at best."

"The toilet smells of sewage, maybe management need to look into it. The shower intermittently changes temperature (suddenly cooler before getting warm again). The location is great and I've stayed in this hotel for quite a few times. Maybe the management needs to look into refreshing certain areas of the hotel (like new towels maybe) ?
Staff is welcoming as always, breakfast still the wide variety, the northern dishes are still as tasty. Too bad they stopped serving Khao Soi, it was delicious."

"1️⃣ **Great Location**
It's conveniently located on Nimman Road, just a ten-minute walk from the bar street. There's a very popular bar called Warm Up right at the entrance, and the night market to the right is also very close.
2️⃣ **Lovely View**
The mountain view room we stayed in offered a great view, but the bar noise at night was extremely loud, not ending until around 1:30 AM. However, we typically don't go to bed until around 3 AM anyway. If you're traveling with family, I'd recommend opting for a room without a view. But if you love to party and have trouble falling asleep at night, choosing the mountain view side is fantastic, especially with the small balcony to sit and enjoy the scenery.
3️⃣ **Brand New Facilities**
As a new hotel, the facilities are very modern and clean. It even has a bathtub, and the bed is super soft and comfortable – much better than the 600-baht-a-night room I stayed in for the previous two days! It's definitely on par with a four-star hotel in China.
4️⃣ **Beautiful Pool**
There's a gorgeous, large outdoor rooftop pool with mountain views. It's so relaxing to sip a beer from the bar while enjoying the gentle breeze!
5️⃣ **Reasonable Price**
We visited just before China's National Day, and many hotels on the app were already inflated to over 1000 baht, when they're really only worth 200-300 baht. This hotel was only 300 baht, which I found very reasonable! I had a very comfortable stay and booked for five nights. I think for Chiang Mai, generally, a 200-baht-ish hotel is perfectly fine. You spend most of your day out drinking coffee, browsing markets, and shopping anyway. Chiang Mai isn't a city where you just 'lounge' at the hotel. As long as it's comfortable, that's all that matters!
The only downside was when my boyfriend got a fever and we asked for two extra bottles of water. They actually charged 60 baht for the third and fourth bottles. That dampened the experience a bit, but otherwise, everything else was pretty good. The minibar also provides two sodas and two bottles of water daily, and they'll restock them every day if you request room cleaning."

"1) The hotel didnt transparently informed that the room I booked is in old cheap building side, where room floor, wall are very old and not even renovated.
2) In Checking-in, The receptionist gave no full attention in welcoming; just issued me keys and pointed me to go to the corridor.
3) In Checking-out, the same receptionist again, she asked me to wait in the seat while they check the room. But she didnt come to inform me I can go then. I stood up and asked if I can go, but she wasnt giving me proper attention as if I am from cheap room.
Overall, very bad service and old hotel. the hotel business is failing"

"The room is great! It’s like a home away from home. The bed is too firm for me, but still pretty comfortable. Love the air purifier as CNX tends to be polluted. The mall across the highway is under renovation, but it’s still very convenient and has a Tops supermarket. You also have a microwave or stove top and they provide a pot and some dishes and cutlery. The pool area is just sad; very old and water is dirty. The gym is a nice convenience. The room is very cozy and decently clean. There were some ants and some random leftover food residue in the kitchen which I cleaned myself. They let me check in early around 2pm so that was nice, however I do feel that 2pm is standard, but when I messaged them and asked for towels they brought them promptly. You also need to check in yourself. Do not ask the front desk for help because she was too busy eating hot pot and watching tv. She made it clear that I was bothering her. lol. You have to collect your key from the mailbox. This is ok though as long as you check your email to understand the process. Having a washing machine is also great! Overall it’s super convenient to be near the airport and have a little home where you can relax and watch tv as well."

Because it's a super new hotel, I hesitated to book it for a long time, but it was definitely the right decision!!! It was such a pleasant surprise! The hotel is situated on the riverbank, surrounded by greenery and water views. Stepping into the lobby, you immediately feel the tranquil and relaxing resort atmosphere.
Initially, I thought it would be a bit far, but after two days, it was fine. It's a 20-minute walk to the airport and the old city. The hotel offers free airport shuttle service; a guy was waiting for us at the airport, but remember to book in advance.
The room was even bigger than I expected!!! The balcony offered a river view, and the decor was a blend of European and Thai elements. I really liked it.
It's very photogenic; every shot is beautiful. The grounds are full of flowers and greenery. Taking a morning walk and then relaxing by the pool was so relaxing!
The breakfast was exquisite and delicious, offering not only Western and Thai dishes but also local specialties. The presentation was very thoughtful. If you don't mind the sun, you can dine by the river – the atmosphere is amazing!
The service was gentle and attentive; every staff member was exceptionally friendly. One of the staff members, a young man who spoke Chinese, was very welcoming and made communication easy, creating a truly welcoming atmosphere.
This is the first time I've written such a long review in a long time. Overall, I highly recommend it; you should try it.

This was my first time staying at a boutique hotel, and it completely exceeded my expectations. When our driver dropped us by the roadside, I was briefly unsure—there was no typical drop-off area, and the hotel was nestled beside a school. I started worrying if I’d made the right choice, especially with my mom traveling with me.
But those doubts vanished the moment the bellboy crossed the street to greet us and carry our bags. From that point on, everything was seamless.
Our room was ready before the official check-in time (bonus point right there 🍪). The grounds are beautifully landscaped and incredibly Instagram-worthy. Traditional music plays softly in the background, creating a calming, almost spiritual atmosphere.
One of the biggest surprises? Complimentary afternoon tea from 2pm to 4pm. I’m usually not a fan of traditional desserts, but theirs were so thoughtfully curated and visually stunning—some even reminded me of Nyonya kuih from home.
Breakfast was simple but included local Thai items. One dish made from sticky rice, coconut milk, and egg wrapped in banana leaves brought back memories for my mom—it tasted just like her childhood.
It rained almost every day during our stay, and at night we could hear the sounds of nature—croaking toads and gentle rainfall. My mom said it felt like we had traveled back in time.
There’s also a temple right across the road. As someone who’s a little superstitious, I found comfort in that peaceful presence 😅.
Location-wise, it couldn’t be better. The Sunday Market literally starts at the hotel’s doorstep, and there’s a 7-Eleven just a 2-minute walk away. A few minutes further is Lila Thai Massage—I didn’t get to try it myself, but I’ve heard nothing but great reviews.
Chala Number 6 made this mother-daughter trip so special. I’m truly grateful for the kind service, the thoughtful details, and the peaceful atmosphere. The price? Well worth it.

GGuest UserI recently stayed at this hotel during a business trip, and overall, I was very impressed. From the moment you step into the lobby, the hotel exudes a sense of professionalism and comfort. The rooms are modern, and new. The meeting facilities are equally impressive—well-equipped, with excellent layout and ambiance suitable for executive discussions. The swimming pool, gym, and other amenities are also top class.
Breakfast deserves a special mention—it is truly one of the best I’ve experienced in my travels. The variety, quality, and presentation exceeded expectations and staff is well care.
That said, there was an incident during our meeting where an external power cut occurred. While it was not the hotel’s fault, it became clear that the staff did not have a proper SOP in place to manage the situation. It caused some disruption, though I did notice their genuine effort to accommodate us as best as they could.
Another small point: staff at the lobby were professional but not always warm with their greetings. A smile goes a long way in hospitality, especially for frequent travelers.
Despite these points, I still highly recommend this hotel. The quality of the facilities, the comfort of the stay, and the overall standard of service make it an excellent choice for both business and leisure travelers.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel environment is full of Southeast Asian atmosphere~ Clean, spacious and quiet, surrounded by chom coffee and Marko supermarket, very convenient~ There are conference rooms and spa projects in the hotel, which is very suitable for family vacations and digital nomads friendly/:ok~ The boss and the boss lady are super nice, and will carefully arrange airport pick-up and drop-off services~ There is a very traditional Chinese breakfast shop opposite the hotel, and there are authentic Banna barbecue and stir-fry in the evening! Family travel must not be missed!

GGuest UserWe have a group of ppl staying in the hotel. The service there are great. The room are quiet that we could always enjoy the bedtime without disturbed by noise outside. We especially love the vegan dish from the restaurant in the hotel. They are suprizingly good. We almost of 4 meals there during the hotel trip. I will recommend it to every vegan lover to stay in this hotel and to enjoy the vegan dishes there.

AAnonymous UserWe had a twin room for short one night stay to explore Chiang Mai University and see the vibes of local uni students, location is great and have all necessities within walking distance. Friendly and helpful staffs, conversational English skills. Easy to call grab just from outside of the hotel, but try avoiding traffic rush hour when everyone is heading to university in the morning or coming down to and from night market at the late evenings. Also suitable for families to stay here as well, they have plenty of children play stuffs at the lobby.

Zzhujian****Let's start with the positives: the hotel boasts an excellent location, directly across the street from Maya Mall. The lobby is also quite grand.
Now for the drawbacks:
1. The room lighting is extremely dim. It's hard to see when eating or organizing luggage.
2. There are many cockroaches in both the room and the bathroom.
3. Unlike other hotels that provide drinking water and tissues at the door when you opt out of daily cleaning, this hotel only provides two bottles of water and no tissues, body wash, or shampoo. I've never encountered anything like it.
4. There are no power outlets by the bed, which is very inconvenient.
5. Asking the front desk for ice costs 50 THB per bucket, whereas other hotels usually offer it for free.
6. The pillows are too high and there's only one, making it very uncomfortable.
7. The noise from motorcycles on the street, being right next to it, is very loud.
8. The swimming pool is only 1.3 meters deep, practically a children's pool, making it almost useless for adults.
9. There is no Wi-Fi.
The service attitude was mediocre. I've visited Chiang Mai over a dozen times and stayed in many hotels, but I definitely won't be staying at this one again.
