2-Star Hotels in Munich

Location was easy to find near munich hauptbahnhof. In close proximity and walking distance to several attractions, staff was also helpful and welcoming!

Youth hostels abroad are generally well received, attracting global travelers with their affordable prices, superior locations and strong cultural atmosphere. They not only provide basic accommodation needs, but are also ideal places to make new friends and experience local culture. This one is very close to the train station. The hotel price was expensive when the beer festival just ended, so this price is good value for money.

Really convenient location near the FlixBus station and the hotel staff was very helpful even though I checked in very late at around 2:30am. The beds were clean, but the bathroom looked like it was cleaned every few days as the rubbish bin filled up till it was overrunning after 3 days, then the trash bag was changed, same with the bin in our room. One more thing, their beds creak a lot (especially the upper bunk bed), and they only have 2 USB ports up at the beds (1 of them did not work for me), so if you have anything with a type-c or a normal EU plug, you have to plug it in downstairs near the table or next to the door, which is inconvenient for someone like me who has a computer (I think there were a total of 3 sockets in our 6-bed room).

Staff was nice, place was clean, and laundry facilities worked great (although probably a bit on the expensive side to each and dry clothes). Wi-Fi worked well, although you had to sign back in every time you came back to the place. The location is about a 12-15 minute walk away from Laim station. There’s really nothing of interest in the area, but it is possible to walk places of interest if you like walking. If not, a walk to the metro station would probably have to do.

I accidentally booked this hostel by mistake instead of the other Wombats hostel closer to the Old Town. I found there wasn't a lot to do in the area as a tourist and would take the metro back to Old Town everyday. The other Wombats is also close by the bus station. Decent kitchen facilities and the cafe downstairs was nice to relax in or do some work on my laptop. Breakfast there in the morning was a decent option too. They had a laundry room, but it seemed expensive and needlessly complicated. Needed €8 in 50c coins to operate the washer and dryer - each! Maybe they had a system to collect all these coins. I didn't ask as it wasn't worth it regardless. Dorm bed had charger, Privacy curtain, light, and a small security box which was handy to have, as well as a larger luggage box below.

Great services from Front Desk staff. We used their free luggage storage before the check in time. Bought a group Day ticket for €29.xx and traveled from Munich Airport to Central Station, then tram #19 to the hotel, all inclusive. Room is large enough and has a table with 2 chairs. Has a bathtub but was clogged. The next day I informed Front Desk. An Engineering staff came to fix and it is good now. Good heater. Good hot water. A bit inconvenient to walk outside for about 6 meters in the very cold weather to enter the building of our room. Simple buffet breakfast.

I chose this place to see the opera. I will cross the road and be next to Fank Jaap and Hermes. If you are sightseeing, the Palace is next to the Opera House. Maria Square is also a 10-minute walk away. From the airport, take the subway directly to Maria Square. It is also a few steps away from the famous Royal Beer House, and I am the farthest to the old painting collection. In short, it is very convenient. The hotel is very small, the room is not big but it looks elegant and clean, the bed is particularly soft, and the TV mini refrigerator safe is available. The hotel still has no front desk self-service, you can do the whole process without a waiter (although I still see it), the mobile phone operation opens the door, it is the first time to encounter it, when you check out, the waiter also asked me if I want to check out late. In short, it is great, I hope to stay here next time. (Say I can't upload the picture format is wrong)

The location for the hotel is great. Just mins of walk from central station right in the centre of Munich. You can catch an Uber to old town from the hotel. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants in the opposite direction from the train station. The hotel staff did a fast and amazing job cleaning the rooms. The counter staff are helpful and attentive. The price is affordable too. However, noise could be an issue whether your room is facing the streets (because of the tram and drunk people) as well as the back of the hotel (lots of sound from children during the day). Will definitely book here again in future
