"Exceeded my expectations! Although the location isn't the most convenient and it's a bit far from the city, the environment is absolutely wonderful, and I really loved the room. Breakfast was also quite good. All in all, this place is truly excellent."

"The hotel was really well located on the sea front and a short walk to the pier and promenade. The room was a good size with a small balcony that was great to sit out on and look at the sea. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would recommend this hotel for a stay."

"I've stayed at the Admiralty Inn a number of times in the past and usually the stay has been good. On a previous stay earlier in the year, and as I was packing to leave, there was a knock on the door saying 'Housekeeping'. The time was 9.40am (checkout is at 10am) and I just felt I was being pushed to leave. I let it slide at the time as i wasn't far off packed and ready to leave anyhow. However, on my most recent stay in May it was taken to a whole new level. Having in mind my previous experience, I decided to place the 'Do not disturb' sign on the door. My thinking being that this should mean that I wouldn't be disturbed until the 10am checkout. At 8.09am, yes I checked the time, the door to my room opened, no knock no warning, and the housekeeper is poking their head in the door. Whilst I was awake I was still in bed though, but what if I had just jumped out of the shower and no clothes on? The housekeeper did make a hasty retreat saying sorry but I just feel that's not good enough, especially as I had the 'Do not disturb' sign on the door and almost two hours prior to checkout. It makes me wonder if any one else has had a similar experience. When you book a motel room you do expect a reasonable level of privacy but I am now very hesitant to stay at the Admiralty Inn again as I feel I cannot be guaranteed any privacy at all. In saying all this, I was tempted to leave a poor or bad review, but I settled on average as the room itself was adequate for the price. All things considered I think my rating of average is more than fair."

"This Holiday Inn was a last-minute booking when I arrived in Australia, and surprisingly, it turned out to be the best and most affordable. The room was spacious, the facilities were new, and its downtown location made everything convenient. It was great for walking to the beach and exploring nearby attractions. Perhaps it's because it's not a huge city, but Geelong is truly a delightful place. It's a tourist-friendly city with plenty of lively energy yet still incredibly relaxed. The urban feel and rural charm blend perfectly, making it a very livable place."

"Staffs arr very kind and hospitable. They upgraded the room for us from ground floor to 9th floor and from the room we can see the sea. The unit is very well-equipped and comfortable.There are washer and dryer, fidge and freezer and dishwashee. It takes only 2-3 minutes walk to the sea and to Westfield Mall. In all we are so impressed with everything."

"The 2 bedroom was roomy and comfy. We had requested one room to be 2 single beds, unfortunately the hotel said they did not receive the request. Would have been nicer if there were 2 bathrooms. Parking at the front is free from 5pm til 9am in the morning."

"This motel was good value for money. It has been nicely renovated and was very comfortable. The position was close enough for us to walk to the shops and there were plenty of eateries in walking distance. There was a microwave and a new fridge. Highly recommend staying here."

"The location is easy to find. It's not in the center of town, but there is a gas station opposite, which is convenient for self-driving! The front desk service is very enthusiastic. From introducing the room to dining places to Geelong attractions to chatting, it is the most enthusiastic since this trip, haha! The parking space in front of each room is huge. The room is standard, enough for a night's sleep. The swimming pool is not open and a little dirty, haha! When we went out for dinner, we saw the beautiful sunset again. It was a perfect day! Recommended!"

"Service at front desk was exceptional - very accommodating. Room was very disappointing. Dirty tissues left in room, air conditioner did not work and it was a hot afternoon/evening, bathroom fan didn't work - only 1 of the lights in the bathroom lights/heater worked. I didn't expect 5 start but I expected a lot more than that. Loved the location but needs alot more care taken with the rooms"
