"This is a stylish hotel. It truly felt like stepping back in time. It's an old building with friendly staff. We chose it specifically for the atmosphere. Our windows overlooked an old cathedral (St. David's Cathedral). Since it's a 19th-century building, the floorboards in the room creaked in places. There wasn't a coat rack near the entrance for outerwear. The lighting came from desk lamps and floor lamps.
In the lobby downstairs, there was live music in the evenings, which I really enjoyed. There's also a bar.
Overall, the hotel left a pleasant impression, which is exactly what we came for."

"Fantastic trip and fantastic service at the Hilton Double Tree. Rooms and service were top-notch. Support from staff was fantastic too. My daughter hurt her foot in the pool and they sent her a little note and bar of chocolate which made her day - above and beyond. Our only complaint was the breakfast buffet was pretty average and with Hobart being such a vibrant bustling city of beautiful food they need to up their game. Everything was ok and a decent selection, however the hot food section was pretty poor and the sausages were like cardboard. Kids loved the cereal and fruits on offer so that was a bonus."

"The motel itself is actually not bad. Based on the reviews, I was expecting it to be worse. But the rooms are fresh and clean.
It lacks air conditioning though. It was cold at night and hot during the day.
Also, a suggestion for the owners – it would be great to have at least a microwave downstairs. Sometimes you just want to heat something up for a quick bite, but...
And there can be issues with parking spots. There aren't many spaces available. It's first-come, first-served."

"This hotel is located in the Hobart CBD, surrounded by numerous restaurants. Enjoying breakfast with a sea view was incredibly comfortable, and the breakfast spread included a variety of fruits, with the option to make your own freshly squeezed juice, which was a major highlight. Although it was just a fleeting one-night stay, the experience was excellent, and the King-size bed in the room was incredibly comfortable too."

"While it’s located a bit far away from the CBD (~15 mins walk, with slope), the amenities were sufficient, just like a small apartment. Quiet environment, good for resting and sleep. Easy access to a supermarket nearby. The bed was a bit too soft for me. Housekeeping every day. However, there were lots of ants around the bathtub and a spider hanging on the ceiling of the bathroom in an early morning! I informed the reception staff to remark and clean my bathroom asap when they are open (the front desk not open for 24 hours but receptionist reachable by room intercom call). They have dealt with the issue for me and responded quickly. The staff there were helpful and friendly. They helped me to book a local taxi to the airport at early morning (cheaper than uber)."

"This is also a chain hotel, usually translated as Best Western. The rooms are quite good, and there's even a small balcony. It's roughly equivalent to hotels like Lavande or Vienna in China. Avoid the restaurant, though. Picture 6 shows a medium-rare steak, and honestly, if you cut off the outer layer, it's edible. Given that, I don't think breakfast is worth trying."

"Nice spot about a 5 minute drive or cab from the main part of Hobart. Check in desk is seemingly not manned very often but the check in and check out process was very smooth, well check out was just dropping a key into the box! There's a telephone number to contact in the event of serious issues but if it isn't deemed serious by the owner then you may get charged so be careful. If youre looking for a spot close to a few tourist spots then this is great, and only about 20 minutes by a cab from the airport too (Uber works fine)"

"Since other room types were fully booked, I ended up reserving a motel-style room in the annex building. The annex doesn't have an elevator and you have to walk down, which initially felt a bit eerie. However, I later found out the room had a window facing a courtyard, so it turned out to be okay. The facilities are quite basic and dated, but the water pressure is good and the price is relatively cheap. The best part is the free parking (parking on the second level is the most convenient)."

"Hotel is located in a good spot with almost everything you need and want to visit a stone’s throw away from the hotel - walking distance, definitely. Room is comfortable, clean and modern. Great breakfast too!
Parking isn’t an option at the hotel, and hotel guests will need to deposit your car at the hotel entrance and then have valet option done. Hefty price at AUD$40 though - I guess safe and secure parking at a price!"

"I booked a twin room and stayed here twice. The first time, I was on the ground floor in a standard twin room. The facilities were complete, and while the room was small, it was very clean. There was no view from the window, just the ground floor platform. The second time, I was assigned a room on the 4th floor, with a view of the sky from the window. However, it was laid out for disabled access, and the bathroom flooded after a shower. Also, one of the 'twin beds' was actually a makeshift mattress, so one of the two adults didn't sleep well. When I asked to change rooms, I was told the hotel was fully booked and no changes could be made, which I was quite unhappy about. On the positive side, the hotel has a scenic pool and sauna on the 5th floor, which is great!"

The hotel is in central Hobart CBD,it is walking distance to almost everything including waterfront Salamanca,Battery Point etc.
There are lots of cafes and restaurants nearby all within a short walk.
The rooms are clean and modern,the hotel has a casual bar and restaurant plus a more formal restaurant.
Happy hour between 16:30 and 18:30 is a great time to have a drink in the lovely lounge area in comfortable sofas and armchairs near the large feature gas fireplace.
The staff are all friendly and efficient.
I couldn’t fault this hotel on anything,we stayed in a one bedroom apartment which was modern and very spacious.
Parking is onsite at $25 dollars per day which is pretty standard for the area,

GGuest UserThe hotel location is very convenient, with lots of shops, restaurants, and even a supermarket nearby. Our room had a beautiful view, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The package we booked included breakfast, and it was good. They gave us a menu to choose from, and the food was freshly made to order – hot and delicious. I especially loved their sourdough. The staff were polite, friendly, and made us feel really comfortable. Overall, this hotel met our expectations and gave us a wonderful stay.

GGuest UserNot bad hotel. But there were no tea bags, no milk. Cutlery looks extremely poor. All was from different set, some from hiking set. Also a lot of dust on the bathroom lights. To fix these problems will cost almost nothing, but it will improve the impression. And the final problem is parking. If you return late, there will be no parking place for you.

GGuest UserOverall, a pretty terrible experience – definitely avoid this place:
1. I arrived at the hotel around 10 AM and was told I absolutely couldn't check in until 3 PM, with zero flexibility.
2. The hotel itself is quite low-end, and the management is very haphazard and chaotic. During the day, there were a bunch of workers doing what looked like painting or renovations, and the entire hallway reeked of banana oil.
3. After being out all day, I finally checked in around 11 or 12 PM. I had booked an executive room, but they immediately told me there was only one left, clearly trying to pull a fast one. Since I had my child with me and just wanted to rest, I didn't argue then. Later, I tried to claim a refund for the price difference through Ctrip, which was a very reasonable request. However, after Ctrip contacted the hotel, they actually lied and claimed they had offered me breakfast, which was a blatant falsehood.
4. The hotel's cleanliness was mediocre, and the facilities were quite subpar. When I checked in that night, there was a crowd of dirty-looking Sri Lankans lining up to check in.
5. The safe in the room lacked basic instruction labels. I tried to use it a couple of times and ended up locking my belongings inside. Around midnight, a staff member came to open it with a master code, then told me he was leaving and that I'd have to ask another staff member the next day for proper usage instructions.
I took a few photos – seriously, steer clear of this place!

GGuest UserThe hotel is next to the highway, the motel has convenient parking, the surrounding environment is beautiful, and it is very close to the Museum of Ancient and Modern Times.
The ordinary room I booked is not large, but it has all the necessary facilities.
The disadvantage is that the hotel network is too poor. It is difficult to connect in the room, so I can only sit outside the door to surf the Internet.

YYao LungThe room photos on Trip.com were taken when the room was brand new. It clearly is no longer the case now - some staining on the curtains and soft furniture and marks on walls. Overall, for the price, it's still acceptable.
Check-in is done at the bar like most similar types of accommodation above a pub.
Bedding is exceptionally comfortable - special mention of the supremely comfortable mattress and pillows. 5-star bed.
Water pressure in the shower is weak - 60% of what I would have liked.
Bottled water and milk in the fridge is a nice touch. Crockery and cutlery provided in the kitchen.
You will have to lug your luggage up 1 flight of stairs as there's no lift.
