"I booked this for a friend's family, and they gave amazing feedback! They said this is truly the best hotel in Kaili. Both the service and facilities were absolutely fantastic. The 'Kali Lao Cai Supper [Double Meal]' was delicious and authentic. The breakfast was very unique and catered perfectly to both adults and children, with a great variety of options. They even made badges at the hotel, each family member creating their own design – a wonderful way to remember their trip to Kaili! Upon check-out, they even received some red sour soup as a gift. The location is also excellent, right in the city center, close to everything. It's just a few minutes' drive to Xiuli Tao, and there are many authentic Kaili eateries nearby. The hotel is also directly across the street from a park, perfect for an evening stroll after dinner, and Kaili is beautiful this season with flowers everywhere. Highly recommended!"

"Decided to visit Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village last minute, booked this guesthouse just the night before. It's located halfway up the mountain, so there's a bit of a climb, but the owner sent someone to pick us up at Xiaobeimen and helped with our luggage. The climb was a bit tiring, but the view from our room's balcony was amazing – you can pretty much see the entire village! The guesthouse also has its own viewing platform, which is great for photos without the crowds. Breakfast is served until 11 AM, perfect for late risers."

"Beautiful hotel, nice and spacious room, great location and excellent staff. The location is close to a park, the pedestrian street if you want street food and near a mall if you want some more upscale food options. Easy to find and get a taxi/didi to anywhere you need to go.
Our room had a separate living room and 2 bathrooms, with good views of the city. We had a couple requests that the staff graciously accommodated. If we come back to Kaili, we will choose this hotel again!"

The hotel itself is really pleasantly designed. The layout is friendly and comfortable. The food is really good.The breakfast was outstanding with amazing selection of different dishes.
The bedroom was very comfortable I slept exceptionally well.
What makes this hotel special is the staff, they are incredibly attentive, and make sure that you are comfortable in every way possible. In particular I want to mention the lady called YangYang - She is probably one of the best hosts I have met anywhere and she is the reason I would give SIX stars!
Location wise. It is very convenient to the high-speed rail station. It is slightly less convenient to the town of Kaili itself which requires a short taxi ride. But don’t let that deter you if you are arriving by HSR this must be your number one choice. Well done Yang Yang and team."

"The owner gave me the route guide in advance, making my journey very smooth. They even helped me with my luggage upon arrival and told me about the local attractions around the viewpoint. The hotel room was clean and tidy. Standing on the balcony, the view was absolutely stunning, with no obstructions. The owner also introduced me to local tourist attractions and Miao culture. The owner was kind, gentle, and welcoming. The hotel provided disposable toiletries, snacks, and bottled water, which made me feel at ease. They were very thoughtful in every way. Staying at this hotel is definitely worth the price; you won't be disappointed. The service was excellent."

"Amazing hotel in a great location in Kaili center. Close to lots of food and bar options, as well as shopping. Also close to bus station.
This hotel is very comfortable to stay at as a foreigner, they have many aspects similar to Western hotels that aren’t commonly found in China, like offering free ice, coffee, softer beds, etc. The staff is very friendly, the rooms are meticulously clean and have very modern amenities like automatic lights and a smart toilet. There’s also a balcony which is great to relax on.
My only advice is that I had a bit of trouble finding the location, it would be good if they could give instructions on how to find the hotel."

"The hotel's location is fantastic; there's no need to climb a slope at the entrance to the scenic area, which is so much better than taking stairs. Plus, the hotel has an elevator, unlike many guesthouses inside scenic areas that only have stairs. 🌟 The rooms are spacious and great for taking photos.
There's also a viewing platform upstairs with amazing views – perfect for watching the sunrise from bed! 🌟 The service was excellent, and the rooms were clean and tidy.
Our luggage was incredibly heavy, but the front desk staff helped us carry it all upstairs and even brought it directly to our room."

"The hotel is very close to the West Gate of Miao Village, within walking distance. The staff were enthusiastic and upgraded us for free to a Business Cloud View Suite. The suite is very spacious, with a well-designed layout separating the cloakroom, office area, living area, and bathroom. It also comes with a huge scenic balcony, though it was foggy in the morning. It's also very convenient to take the shuttle bus from Miao Village West Gate to Libo Xiaoqikong; the pick-up point is at the pavilion in front of Jiuyuntian Resort Hotel, uphill from our hotel. It's an easy walk there, which is great for catching an early shuttle to Libo. Highly recommended!"

wyy520184Thoughtful butler service: The butler was very attentive. If we couldn't find our way, they'd come to pick us up. They'd also prepare the hot spring bath for us in advance if we wanted. Afternoon tea and breakfast could be delivered to the room, which was perfect for those who like to relax.
Facilities: The giant screen for movies was amazing, the private hot spring had a great view, and the public areas were also beautiful and perfect for photos.

The hotel perfectly embodies a 'wild luxury' style, and the room views are impeccable. It's operated by the villagers, meaning the income directly benefits the local community. A staff member will meet you at the hotel parking lot for transfers, and an uncle will help with luggage to your room or the front desk. The hotel's dinner is also excellent; the local rice field fish and river snails were memorable, and the cured pork was absolutely fantastic. Overall, this hotel is a true paradise for relaxation and quiet contemplation. Highly recommended, and I'll definitely be back.

Guest UserThis hotel is super convenient, right next to the observation deck, practically at the highest point of the Miao Village. You get amazing panoramic views from your room! The hotel's butler, Kele, provides incredibly thoughtful service. She contacted me a day before check-in to explain all the entry procedures, which was really clear. As soon as we arrived, she met us at the entrance and helped with our luggage – so attentive. Plus, the rice noodles for breakfast are delicious, and they offer sweet potatoes, yams, and boiled eggs, which is perfect for fitness enthusiasts!!

Guest User24-hour butler service: The service was absolutely fantastic! You don't need to plan anything when visiting the Miao Village; the butler contacts you the day before, and you don't even have to carry your own luggage. They anticipate and fulfill every need you might have, and even some you haven't thought of. The butler also helps with your travel itinerary, telling you what's good to eat and what's not. Our butler was a young girl, small in stature but with huge energy!
Couple's Afternoon Tea: The afternoon tea was exquisite, and best of all, you could get unlimited refills.
Ambiance: The views were absolutely stunning, completely worth it!

Overall, the hotel is pretty good. The location, ambiance, and interior decor all feel fresh and inviting, especially the lobby, which cleverly combines reception, a small bar, and a restaurant, opening up to a large outdoor terrace with expansive views. The soft furnishings are a huge plus; I particularly loved the use of plants, fresh flowers, dried flowers, and large vases.
However, seeing as it's advertised as a designer hotel, I have to critique it a bit. Design shouldn't just be about aesthetics; functionality matters too.
1. In our room, there was no power outlet near the kettle, so we had to put it on the bedside table to boil water. What kind of setup is that? Does the designer only drink cold water?
2. The bathroom faucet extended too far outwards, causing water to splash easily.
3. The material chosen for the sink made me constantly worry it wouldn't be cleaned properly or that any dirt wouldn't be visible.
In summary, while the environment is nice, it doesn't quite live up to the rather expensive price tag.

Guest UserWhat made my trip to Qianhu Miao Village truly unforgettable was the incredibly warm experience at this hidden gem of a guesthouse.
First and foremost, I have to give a shout-out to our butler, Xiao Cheng. His service was truly proactive and thoughtful! Even before we arrived at Miao Village, Xiao Cheng reached out to us, providing detailed directions and important tips. When our navigation ended and we were a bit lost trying to find the guesthouse, he promptly appeared, greeted us warmly, and even escorted us all the way to check-in, saving us a lot of hassle after a long journey.
The guesthouse's breakfast was not only photogenic but also delicious 🤤. In the afternoon, enjoying a leisurely afternoon tea on the terrace, watching the vibrant life of Miao Village outside the window, time seemed to slow down. But the most touching detail was undoubtedly the piping hot 'Goodnight Snow Swallow and Tremella Soup' served before bed. After a day of sightseeing, a sip of that sweet and nourishing dessert instantly washed away all the fatigue.
Here, service isn't just a process; it's genuine care from the heart. Butler Xiao Cheng and the guesthouse team perfectly define 'feeling at home' with their enthusiasm and meticulous attention to detail. Highly recommended!

I highly recommend staying at this guesthouse. The location is absolutely fantastic, both day and night! It's truly the best vantage point in the entire scenic area. Any designated observation decks in the area simply can't compare. The photos and videos I took from my guesthouse balcony turned out amazing. The facilities are excellent, and the environment is exceptionally clean. Most notably, the owner's service attitude is just wonderful. Having visited numerous scenic spots across the country, I consider this to be the number one guesthouse I've ever stayed at.

Comfortable and Convenient Stay with Thoughtful Host
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The room is new and equipped with smart controls, making it very comfortable and modern. It is the same as the picture. They had a lift too which is suitable for seniors and children.
The owner is fantastic — they assisted us with several parcel collections from Taobao, which was a huge help since collecting them ourselves would have been inconvenient. At the last minute, they even helped purchase a birthday cake for my nephew from the city, which we truly appreciated.
The location is excellent, with plenty of food options nearby. It’s also a great alternative for families who want to explore the area without staying in the Ancient Town — dragging luggage and changing buses there can be challenging. Whenever we were tired, we could simply take a Didi back to the hotel, and it drops you right at the door.
Overall, this is a highly recommended stay for anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and a host who goes the extra mile!

JinkismA beautiful and memorable stay right in the heart of the old town. Although the accommodation is located higher up and requires climbing some stairs, it was not tiring at all because the staff kindly helped carry our luggage all the way from the bottom to the hotel.
The room itself was stunning, with large windows that offered the most breathtaking panoramic view of the old town. Honestly, it felt like one of the best viewpoints in the area. Every corner was picture-perfect.
The design was especially impressive, blending beautifully with the historic atmosphere through elegant vintage-style decor while still providing modern comforts. The amenities were complete, thoughtfully arranged, and equipped with smart automatic features. The shower was amazing too, with strong water pressure that made it extra satisfying.
The owner was warm and friendly, offering great local restaurant recommendations that made exploring even better. The location was also excellent, just a short walk from a nearby scenic viewpoint.
