"I'm so glad I chose this guesthouse located in the Yao village. Although I haven't checked out all the other guesthouses, I was extremely satisfied with both the room and the location. A word of caution: you need to buy an entrance ticket to stay at a guesthouse in the Yao village. And if it's your first time visiting, be aware that you can't just find the guesthouse by name or address once you arrive. You absolutely must contact the owner in advance to arrange a pick-up, otherwise it will be very difficult to find the exact location. When we arrived, the temperature had dropped, and it was chilly. We couldn't contact the owner for a while, which made us really anxious. Luckily, it was a false alarm; the owner was busy and hadn't heard the phone. The guesthouse is located a bit high up, requiring a walk along a stone path, but once inside, it felt warm and cozy. The next morning, the sunrise was right outside the window. Looking at the stone houses, the morning light, and the distant scenery, I felt the hardship of the walk was totally worth it. Also, I must praise the owner's wife; she's incredibly kind 🫶. Seeing that I looked like I was about to catch a cold, she thoughtfully gave me some ginger slices to warm me up—it was so heartwarming. 🥰"

The only downside was the bed was too hard… As for the scenic area, the 106 yuan entrance fee was honestly not worth it. The stone steps were too difficult to walk on. The Yao village, because it still has local residents, felt very authentic but also dirty and chaotic, showing no signs of careful maintenance. I chose to stay overnight to see the sunrise, but if you don't want to see the sunrise, two hours is enough.
