"This hotel really elevated my impression of Wuhan. First off, the service made me feel professional and respected. Before we arrived, my child got some scrapes, and I was a bit worried because I couldn't find any pharmacies nearby on the delivery app. However, when I explained I needed iodine and band-aids, the staff, without any unnecessary fuss, quickly delivered them directly to our room. I hope they continue to maintain such reassuring medical facility provisions. Secondly, the hotel's decor is incredibly grand and inviting. There's a European-style courtyard on the second floor, which I didn't visit so I don't have photos. But the Chinese-style courtyard in the ground-floor restaurant had a very serene atmosphere, and I even fed the goldfish there. As for the stay experience, the central air conditioning actually worked! Unlike other hotels where setting it to 26°C only gets you 22°C (which often leads to me catching a cold 😷), the air conditioning at this Holiday Inn genuinely reaches 26°C when set, making it very comfortable. I stayed in room 2093, and thanks to excellent soundproofing and great blackout curtains, I managed to get a rare full night's sleep. Finally, a quick review of the restaurants. There are three on the ground floor, but I only visited one. I'm not sure if Hubei cuisine is generally salty, but I found both my dinner and breakfast to be a bit too salty. I even specifically asked for less salt on my braised Wuchang fish, but it was still extremely salty... Also, the fruit platter was quite disappointing, with only a tiny bit of cantaloupe and cucumber, a mediocre orange, and a single mandarin orange. For the price, it felt a bit perfunctory. I hope they can improve this."

"Absolutely loved it!!! This is truly the closest hotel to the Provincial Museum! The environment is fantastic, perfect for a relaxing getaway and taking beautiful photos – definitely not for those on a 'special forces' packed itinerary, haha. I booked the 'Yisuo' room and was prepared for it to be a bit run down, but I actually think it's very well maintained and super clean~ The service was excellent, and the Baijic herbal products they provided were so good that I immediately bought them on Taobao~ I genuinely believe this is a must-stay hotel in Wuhan!!! I'll definitely be back next time~"

"The room was a good size, quite spacious, and it's rare to find a hotel room with three beds, which was perfect for three people to stay comfortably without bothering each other. The location is convenient with easy access to transportation and plenty of great food options nearby. Downstairs is a pedestrian street, and there's a bus that goes directly to Wuhan's famous breakfast spots. Overall, I'm very satisfied."

"The front desk service was excellent, very welcoming, and the hotel room was quite spacious with great facilities. What really stood out was the free parking and the very reasonable room rate. I was very satisfied with my stay. The hotel's location is also a plus, with a bus stop right outside. It was very convenient for exploring Wuhan's 'zao fan' (breakfast) culture, as you can quickly reach most places by metro or bus. Highly recommended!"

"The hotel's location is excellent, right above the Jianghan Road subway station. It's incredibly convenient for visiting the riverside, going for a city walk, or finding a place to eat. The room is quite spacious with stylish design, a separate wet and dry area, and a toilet with heating and automatic flushing. The high-floor view is panoramic, and the bedding is very comfortable, especially one pillow that felt like latex. The day before check-in, the hotel called to ask about my arrival and directed me to the nearest subway exit. They also mentioned there was renovation on some floors, and there were signs in the room too. However, there was absolutely no impact from it, and the soundproofing was perfect. There are two dedicated elevators for the hotel floors, so you don't have to share with other hotels or commercial units, which is a big plus for safety and efficiency. Breakfast offered freshly made hot dry noodles and various other noodles and rice noodles, along with traditional Wuhan fried snacks. While the variety wasn't huge, it was certainly enough. The restaurant has a great view. The only drawback was the coffee machine; the Americano felt very weak. I returned late after visiting Yellow Crane Tower in the morning, and the front desk kindly arranged a late check-out for me. Even though I only stayed one night, it was a perfect end to my trip to Wuhan. This will definitely be my top choice for my next visit to Wuhan."

"This time, I didn't hesitate and chose Shangri-La without a second thought. As an older five-star hotel, its facilities might not compare to newer establishments, but its service truly shines. From the moment I checked in, Guest Services Manager Yang Han's brief yet incredibly meticulous and thoughtful assistance showcased exceptional professionalism and skill. She made me feel completely at home, setting a benchmark for the industry. Beyond the other warm services, I must single out the self-service breakfast at the Xiangyuan Western Restaurant – it genuinely moved me. It's undergone a radical transformation since my visit a year ago. The wontons, handmade by the hotel, brought back vivid memories of my childhood, of my grandmother holding my hand and taking me to a restaurant for wontons. So many times I've dreamt of that taste! With just one bite of those wontons, I truly felt like I was home. Then there were the bean curd sheets, siu mai, hot dry noodles served in enamel bowls, stir-fried green beans, stir-fried lettuce – so many dishes, all evoking memories of my hometown. I suddenly realized that even after 30 years away, my memories of home have never faded. And then there's Jingjing; the last time I came, it was her very first day on the job. Years have passed in a flash, and she's still just as enthusiastic and attentive, zipping around the entire restaurant, greeting this guest and attending to that one. And the lovely, sturdy chef with his tall hat, busy frying eggs, and the lady chef at the live station preparing rice noodles – every single one of them is just delightful. The biggest difference between the Shangri-La Hotel Wuhan and other hotels is that it's a hotel with a soul, a place with incredible cohesion. It's a landmark of Wuhan, and a home in the hearts of those who have left their hometown."

"Facilities: It truly lives up to its reputation as a long-standing star-rated hotel. You wouldn't guess the decor is ten years old; it's so well-maintained that it still feels very high-end and grand, completely outshining many contemporary hotel chains. Environment: The hotel is conveniently located close to both the airport and Hankou Railway Station. The surrounding area is quiet, with a Wanda Plaza right downstairs and Tianjie mall within walking distance. I'm a light sleeper and requested a quiet room, and they gave me one far from the elevator shaft and it was non-smoking, plus I got a room upgrade. Overall, the staff were excellent, except for one male concierge on duty the evening I checked in. When I asked him about registering my car plate, he spoke very quickly and seemed agitated. I took it as him being impatient, which was a very unpleasant experience. Also, the housekeeping staff need to be more thorough; when I took a shower, I found the casing of a previous guest's razor on the shower shelf, which didn't feel good at all. Overall, it's still worth staying here again!"

"Beyond the issues I just mentioned, they also offer a late-night snack service at 9 PM. The front desk will notify you at 8 PM what the snack for the evening will be, and it's one portion per person. If you stay for three consecutive nights, you'll get a different snack each day: white fungus sweet soup, mini tangyuan (glutinous rice balls), and millet porridge. There's also herbal tea available at the front desk that you can brew yourself, or you can have the staff prepare it for you; the tea leaves are the same. One unique difference here is the 3 PM check-out time, so check-in on weekends might be a bit later compared to other hotels. This extended check-out is really convenient. The hotel is near Metro Lines 2 and 11, though not super close – it's about a 10-minute walk, which is still quite convenient overall."

"I came to ***** for a temporary work assignment and, after a quick browse and comparison, I chose the Holiday Inn Express. This hotel is conveniently located right next to the Jianghan Road subway station and the Jianghan Road Pedestrian Street, which is great for food, shopping, and entertainment. It's also very easy to get to the riverside (Jiangtan). The room overall was very new and clean, with smart toilet and smart curtains as standard. Breakfast is served on the 26th floor and offers a good variety of dishes. There was a small hiccup: I left my thermos behind when checking out in a hurry. The front desk staff were very thoughtful and helped me retrieve it and even sent it via express delivery. All in all, it was a very good stay."

"My classmates from Guangzhou came to Wuhan for the Qingming Festival, and we decided to get together. We booked two high-floor twin rooms with a view. Since they weren't on the same floor, the front desk kindly and free of charge upgraded us to a family view suite on the same floor, with the rooms located right next to each other. The hotel faces the Yangtze River, offering views of the Yangtze River Bridge, Guishan TV Tower, and the Han River. At night, both riversides are bustling with traffic and illuminated, with the Guishan TV Tower light show adding to the spectacle. The bar under the cherry blossom trees behind the hotel is stylish and romantic, perfect for photos (though the cherry blossoms were almost gone). The breakfast, with both Chinese and Western options, was excellent and had a wide variety. Highly recommend, two thumbs up!"
