"We had such a wonderful stay at The Pearl South Pacific Resort! My boys had an amazing time – from the pool to the beach and all the little activities, there was never a dull moment. The staff were welcoming and the atmosphere made it so easy to relax and enjoy our holiday. Everything about our stay was great, except for the internet connection, which could definitely be improved. "A very VERY strange experience here I must say.. I arrived at the 28 bed dorm room (even though trip.com said it was 10 bed) and there was no sign of any other life in the dorm at all. Most of the beds looked like they had been made months ago and nobody had slept in them since because they were covered in a layer of dust and dirt.. I went back to reception to ask what was going on and they said I’m the only one booked in so I just accepted it as it was. However, later on when I was sitting the bar a member of staff approached me and told me I had been upgraded (because supposedly the dorms weren’t clean due to a big group having checked out yesterday) so I ended up spending two nights in a luxurious Bure, the first night shared with someone else who was booked in for the dorms. The Bure was beautiful and spotless and I am very grateful for the upgrade. The outside shower was also very nice! The breakfast was excellent with lots to choose from! Eggs, sausages, beans, bread, cakes, yogurts, fruit, multiple cereals, tea, coffee and juice, one morning there were pancakes. The only downsides to this resort is they don’t have any activities or excursions of their own and they direct you to the hotel further along - I did snorkelling there which costs $75 - the whole thing felt rushed in my opinion and the trip wasn’t worth the money. We got barely any time in the water and there was no time to stop and observe anything, seemed like the guys on the boat just wanted to get it all over and done with as fast as possible."

"It looks better compared to pictures, the territory of a resort is pretty big, they have activities etc. The breakfast is included but it’s very basic: packed cereals, bread, fruits. You can buy the coffee from a barista machine and it’s not too bad. As the hotel is located in the middle of nowhere, you need to buy everything from them, dinners are expensive in my opinion (but good) and no alternatives as it’s remote"

"Quite place away from the crowds and busy centre. The resort is near the beach, which has very clear sea water. The waves are blocked by the coral reef, so the water stays calm. The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good, but a change of menu, at least once a week would be great."

"Perfect location for the airport, literally walking distance across the road (and yet didn’t really hear planes!). Lovely grounds & pools. Good restaurant, although dinner portions very small. We had the cheapest room type, and it was disappointingly close to the kitchen noise & walls were very thin - we could hear our neighbours coughing through the night. We would use again for the airport, but try a more expensive room option."

"about 30 mn from the airport, opposite the sea (but no beach) and a few minutes walk from shops, a mall , restaurants, a grocery store and McDonald's. Nice pool but a little small and always super crowded so we couldn't use it. The restaurant is very good and serves generous and good portions. Breakfast is so so but good. Staff at the restaurant were super nice and helpful but at the reception although ok, weren't that proactive in offering help and didn't look very energetic. They really only helped when you asked for something."

"I stayed here for two nights in a dorm, lodge 1. I had a top bunk and there wasn’t a railing so I was pretty worried about falling out. Also there weren’t any plugs inside the room - only one outside in the washroom area. Apparently the other dorm lodges do have plugs and railings though. Food is only at set times but was pretty reasonably priced! I had the split pea soup for dinner one night (5/5!) and a veggie curry the following (3/5) and a veggie burger for lunch (4.5/5). Complimentary breakfast was pretty basic but good enough! They had soy and almond milk available. There is a cute ethical shop/cafe nearby which is so nice but other than that I don’t think there’s much else within walking distance in terms of shops. The resort had daily activities to get involved with which is a bonus!! The pool was also very nice and the beach is great for snorkelling! My favourite part of the beach house was the shower in the washroom area attached to the dorm/lodge. It was an outside area but secluded and the shower pressure was insane!! And nice warm water. However, the toilet itself smelt pretty bad and I didn’t dare go near it."

"Very friendly people, very welcoming and peaceful. Food are so delicious. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to be free from stress to visit Duadua resort."

"A very nice resort. Located next to the ocean so the view is very beautiful. The facility is clean and the price is affordable and reasonable. I would stay here again if I come back to Fiji. It’s 20-30mins away from Suva. I came alone but it’s a good hotel for Families too"

"Nalagi Hotel is a 4-star hotel that offers great value for money. I had a very satisfying stay. The air conditioning worked perfectly, and there's a Chinese restaurant next door. Plus, a McDonald's 🍔, a large supermarket, and a Western fast-food restaurant are all nearby, which is very convenient. The room came equipped with a hairdryer, shower cap, soap, shower gel, conditioner, refrigerator, and tissues. You'll need to bring your own slippers and toothbrush/toothpaste (which is pretty standard for most hotels anyway)."
