"A comfortable enough stay at the Future Inn. Though our room was a bit noisy from constant traffic outside on busy multi lane road. We had requested a room facing the rear but one may not have been available - though we remarked that the hotel did not seem busy.We appreciated the easy parking arrangements. And the buffet breakfast was well above average for this type of hotel. On a previous stay our room was showing definite signs of wear and tear, but on this occasion we thought the standard of decor etc was a little higher. Would stay again if we could do so for a fair price."

"The receptionist was very friendly and helpful.
Room very clean and tidy.
However we arrived for breakfast which was included and why we booked this hotel to find that the chef had called in sick so there was only a basic continental breakfast . The staff were unhelpful and slow at breakfast . My husband had an orange for breakfast and I had a piece of toast !! Not what we paid for ."

"Excellent hotel experience from start to finish. We haven’t stayed here before & booked in due to its location being near the venue we were heading to. Superb check in experience at reception, friendly, efficient & went above & beyond to make us feel super welcome. Complimentary cocktail & discount for car park given along with lots of help & tips on how things worked.. Loved the style & ambiance of the hotel. Immaculate room with great decor. Similar experience at check out, will definitely return & would recommend."

"Very nice room, not accessible as we had booked but we did arrive very late. Reception were very kind and brought us some extra pillows to help support my husband as he had large tumour on his leg. Breakfast was very good, everything we needed. Some nice touches including fresh fruit and yoghurt and some fruit smoothies. Very happy with our stay."

"Arrived about 10pm due to a delayed flight. The young man on reception was courteous and polite. After hearing my tale of woe about my day, he immediately upgraded my room, something which I thoroughly appreciated.
My stay was relatively short, but in the ten hours I spent there, all staff were polite, efficient and approachable.
I'm a fairly hardy solo traveller, so speaking for myself, the location was fine, a five minutes walk from Bristol Bus Station.
All in all, a pleasant stay, no complaints."

"The good things about the hotel were its location. Close to restaurants, a famous Banksy or two, lots of shops and theatres. Is a beautiful hotel with nice places to sit and meet if you are in a group. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. The car park, despite being £17 per night, was actually better value than other options nearby and we were able to leave the car there until midnight on the day of check out.
The negatives were that we were not able to get a reservation in the hotel restaurant which we found unusual. We had a group from 8 to 80 so we were worried about walking yet had no choice as they couldn’t fit us in. They were also impossible to contact as they didn’t reply to messages. There was chaos at check in with guests waiting for up to an hour to check in and get their keys. There were long queues for over two hours from 3pm to at least 5pm. Their excuse was that the hotel was fully booked but it’s not as though they didn’t know all those people were coming! They should have been prepared and there were a lot of unhappy customers that Saturday evening. Some front desk staff were flustered and sorry but couldn’t do anything about it and some didn’t seem to care. We were there a bit earlier so they could have got the process started but they wouldn’t so we had to queue twice. We were quite fed up. Even after all that and me paying £68 for 4 cars I had to keep repeating that I had already paid that and the next day.
Something in the system needs to change as it’s frustrating to spend 2 hours checking in when you are only staying for 1 night.
Perhaps if they are expecting so many people again they could put out tea and coffee in the tea lounge with a screen to enter and pay for your car and then have some kind of ticket system where you are called to the desk when it’s your turn.
It certainly needs better management as it’s not the welcome you expect when you’ve paid to stay in the Marriott brand."

We had the buffet breakfast each day in the Kiln restaurant which is part of the hotel, hot and cold dishes were always replenished. We paid for the car parking at the same time as check-in, which was stress-free. Staff were friendly.

GGuest UserIf you manage to get a good deal on this at around 110 lb per night then the hotel is not too bad at the full price in excess of $150 160 lb a night. This represents really bad value. The hotel is very tired. The heating is non-existent and the hot water is in limited supply. The service from the staff was excellent and the location is superb. It's just that this is a hotel desperately in need of love and refurbishment. There was evidence of cost cutting in most areas such as a cheap coffee and tea in the rooms, heating that wouldn't turn on and minimal hot water (5 minutes at most). For the right price it's bearable for a couple of nights but at full price there are better deals out there in Bristol

GGuest UserThe hotel is really well situated for access to bristol cathedral, park street and Baldwin and corn streets, all of which are home to a plethora of restaurants and pubs.
The staff were welcoming and helpful, making us feel that nothing was too much trouble.
The room was clean, the mattress comfy and the tv was a decent size.
We enjoyed our stay there and would gladly do so again.

GGuest UserAfter hours of travelling from abroad we needed somewhere that was close to the railway station to travel home the following day .on arrival very late at night from checking in to being in our room was within 5 minutes. Room very clean tea and coffee amenities the bed fabulous couldn't fault it very clean and comfortable as was the room air con was great due to traveling and being tired we felt very cold that was soon corrected with the heating of the air con traveling early meant we were too early for breakfast although we were offered breakfast to take away with us staff cheerful and friendly .highly recommend

I had booked via the Trip App and paid for a double room for 2 people with breakfast- at checkout a very rude receptionist demanded I pay £29 for two breakfasts and would not accept I’d already in effect paid for breakfast when booking. I showed her the booking confirmation which clearly stated the deal included breakfast - she still asked for payment. I demanded to see the Manager who still was reticent to accept that breakfast had already been paid for…..
Unacceptable.
As a result we were late for a family funeral

GGuest UserWe had the loveliest time here the staff were so lovely and friendly. It was about a 30 minute walk into town and if you are travelling into town at rush hour walking is the best way as the traffic was pretty bad.
The room we stayed in was beautiful and clean and tidy and we were blown away by the service from the staff it really was lovely infact I was shocked to find they were part of a group and not independent as it felt the kind of service you would get from an independent. The bar and restaurants were lovely and the building was so beautiful inside and out we had a really lovely stay toiletries were provided and they smelt beautiful. thanks so much we had a lovely time.

GGemJHad a lovely stay overnight at the Grand. Whilst both lifts were broken they had my bags brought up to my room for me and kindly stored them when I checked out as well so I could explore the city before my train departure. Staff were all friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, with everything I needed. Only slight gripe was with the towels, whilst they were clean they were a bit tatty and they had quite a musty smell to them. Apart from that I can't fault any part of my stay.
