"On this trip to Turkey, I was shocked by how skillfully I found hotels that were 100% the best. I already wrote about the hotel in Istanbul, and now I'll write about the alien hotel in Cappadocia.
Zemi Hotel: - The location is absolutely unique, right next to the Göreme Open-Air Museum. On the first day, I took a leisurely stroll to the museum, but I didn't know it was included in the 75-euro Red Tour I booked for the next day. The Göreme Open-Air Museum turned out to be the most interesting of all the places we were taken. You just need to know where to enter it, because when I was walking around, I went in the wrong places, and it turned out that was the end of the tour.
The service at the hotel is wonderful; everyone smiles pleasantly and is ready to solve any problems you may have. I forgot my room card at the restaurant during breakfast. We arrived around 8 pm. I only realized I had no card. I went to reception, and they gave me a new one without a word.
At breakfast, there's a cook who makes an omelet in front of you, but you just have to choose which ingredients. I'm very particular about the food in Turkey; there's very little I like. The sausages are terrible, the soups are awful, and not all the cheese is good, but there is some good cheese. You can find something tasty to eat in your room at the Zemi.
The room was clean and large. I know what I'm talking about; this is my fourth time in Turkey, and this is my first trip where you can walk around the room without hitting the bed. The bathroom is a special treat; I used the jacuzzi after all those kilometers, and it was perfect.
I ordered room service: lentel soup (a lentil soup they have everywhere, and it seems like they pour it from the same bucket) and pasta neopolitano. It was a bit dry, and there wasn't enough sauce.
It's not far to the center; I'd always take that route, I've attached a photo.
I'm honestly shocked by the price of a transfer from and to the airport – 75 euros. I'm not one to be scared, but I was. And it's the same price to the airport in Istanbul. Thank goodness I saw a minibus at the airport for 300 Turkish pesos (they're parked right outside the exit, there are three of them). I booked one for the return trip on the day of departure. This minibus picks up vacationers from their hotels and takes us all to the airport."

"This was a truly beautiful, stylish, and charming place. I was impressed by the facility's clear intention to provide excellent service and amenities in every corner, which was very satisfying.
The breakfast was delicious, plentiful, and beautifully plated, making for a delightful start to the day for both the eyes and the palate. I enjoyed the breakfast ambiance so much that I also had dinner at the same restaurant, and that too was very satisfying. Above all, the cheerful attitude and clever wit of the staff serving breakfast and dinner made dining in an unfamiliar travel destination incredibly comfortable.
However, I was a bit disappointed because I specifically chose this hotel for its indoor pool, hoping to escape the hot Cappadocia afternoons in a cool and comfortable setting. On the first day, the pool was occupied for an Instagram photoshoot, and on the second day, a family with very active children essentially had the pool all to themselves, so I couldn't use it properly.
While the cleanliness and maintenance seemed excellent, the room itself was very dark with many shadowy corners, which made me wonder if thorough cleaning could be consistently maintained. The spacious and comfortable bed was fantastic, but the pillows were a bit disappointing. They seemed to be down-filled but were rather high, making them less comfortable for someone with specific sleeping preferences. I found them a bit uncomfortable, and it would be great if there were goose down pillow options.
Despite the rather strenuous journey of exploring Zelve and the outdoor valleys in the hot midday sun, this place allowed me to have a pleasant and enjoyable time overall."

"We stayed at the hotel for two nights. The hotel's location in Göreme isn't particularly important because the town is small, and everything is a 5-minute walk from the center. However, there are hotels that require a steep climb uphill. Our hotel is located on level ground. Guests are picked up directly from the hotel for all excursions, flights, and the airport, which is very convenient. Flights and excursions can be booked at reception.
The hotel has an interesting, authentic, antique-style decor.
We didn't buy breakfast at the hotel, so I can't comment on that.
We also lost our luggage at the airport, along with our swimsuits, so we missed the pool and spa area.
The beds in the room were very comfortable. Unlimited bottled water. There was a kettle in the room with tea and coffee.
We are very grateful to the receptionist – he helped us find our luggage and also brought back our lost bag. We were very pleased 😄.
We would definitely stay at this hotel again."

Even though I don't speak any English, they were always there to greet me with a smile and a comfortable distance! There was also a cute cat, which was soothing! 🐱♡
Amenities included towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, slippers, and a great hair dryer, so I had no problems! It was a comfortable stay, but I was bothered by a slight smell of sewerage or mold? ☺️ That's why I gave it a 4.
But it was such a wonderful hotel that it didn't even bother me. ♡"

"We stayed here for our honeymoon and informed the hotel beforehand that we were newlyweds. To our delight, they prepared a beautifully decorated romantic room and welcomed us with a delicious plate of fresh fruits. We were truly touched by this thoughtful gesture and felt the warmth of genuine Turkish hospitality.
The hotel serves a classic Turkish breakfast, which was both delicious and satisfying. Its location is excellent — very convenient for any tour pick-ups and only a 5-minute walk from the Sunset/Sunrise panorama viewpoint. There’s also a lovely terrace where you can enjoy stunning views of Göreme.
The only downside was that the room did not have air conditioning, and the provided fan was not strong enough to keep it cool, so it felt quite hot inside. We even had to sleep with the doors open.
Other than that, we are very happy we chose this hotel and would gladly recommend it for its hospitality, location, and charm."

"Location wise is very close (5min casual stroll) to Urguk town center. Rooms and hotel grouds were very well kept and clean. Service from the check in was great. The rest of the crew were just normal, no where near as warm, acknowledging and attentive compared to other similar resorts/chains/properties possibly due to the staffs culture and language limitations. Nevertheless this is nitpicking and overall experience was still good. Next to the pool, hamam, cafe there is not much to do in the property and to be fair that is expected given the size and exclusivity of low density property hence plan half a day there and the rest, go for a tour around town. The ala carte traditional breakfast deserves an outstanding rating. This is not your typical hotel buffet spread but I give it a very high rating for the quality, presentation and spread. They have put in the effort and executed this menu well. Room was as expected and the lit up fireplace (upon request) was very cozy on a cold winter night. Overall great stay & worth another stay in another room."

"The hotel's location is right at the entrance to the highest observation deck, which is free to enter at night and definitely worth a visit for photos. The hotel's own observation deck is also excellent for capturing night views and hot air balloons. I recommend visiting the highest observation deck twice: once in the early morning for hot air balloons and again at night for the city lights. Both breakfast and dinner at the hotel were very good; the food was much better than outside restaurants and not overly expensive, about 200 CNY per person, which is quite reasonable. I've noticed a pattern: if a restaurant's menu has many photos of dishes and a wide variety, it usually caters to tourists and the food tends to be subpar."

"I recently stayed at Ozbek Stone House Hotel in Cappadocia, and it was truly one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. The atmosphere was warm and authentic, perfectly matching the charm of Cappadocia.
I also booked several tours directly through the reception, and to our surprise, the prices were actually cheaper than what we found online. Everything was well-organized and hassle-free.

"A beautiful hotel and a wonderful experience. Goreme is so beautiful and this hotel is located not too far from the central places where you can find lots of great restaurants and souvenir shops. The room is naturally cool and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed the whole atmosphere at the hotel and the outside seating areas are perfect for relaxing after a long day of touring. The staff are very friendly and helpful."

Doğa KaraçallıkThe only address we always prefer as a family in Göreme. The room facilities, heating and hygiene are always at the top segment and it is very enjoyable to taste the traditional privileges of Turkish cuisine in the restaurant. We ate the most delicious meals in Göreme and the breakfast was open buffet and only bird's milk was missing. The staff was extremely attentive and always helpful. We had a holiday that we said we were glad we came again and that we will not forget. We thank the Anatolian Houses family for everything :)

Goreme Treasure Cave Hotel | Aza gets rave reviews, great value for money!
This hotel is a sister property to Sultan Cave Suites, sharing facilities, but Aza offers significantly better value! The rooms are larger, have better views, and even come with their own pools. Crucially, it's much quieter than Sultan – Sultan's front-facing rooms can be noisy due to the restaurant and bar, whereas Aza is completely peaceful, ensuring a good night's sleep. If you value quiet, this is the place to be. (Sometimes you can hear hallway noise when people enter the room next door, but overall it's quiet. However, the stairs can be challenging for elderly guests).
The breakfast is incredibly generous, with the scrambled eggs and beef being a must-try. The food is plentiful and satisfying. If you want to see the hot air balloon sunrise, you can head directly to Sultan's observation deck for photos – you get the best of both worlds. The hotel's recommended excursions are a bit pricey; I suggest booking through a restaurant owner in town for much better deals.
The SPA experience was a wonderful surprise – professional techniques and just the right amount of pressure. It offers far better value than other places in town and is my top pick for relaxation.
What was most heartwarming was that my non-refundable booking dropped in price upon arrival, and Trip.com proactively refunded the difference. The hotel even upgraded me for free to a suite with a fireplace! A staff member kindly helped chop wood and start the fire. Listening to the sound of wood chopping in the courtyard and watching the warm glow of the fire in the room truly enhanced the cave accommodation experience – it was unforgettable.
The cave room was very comfortable, the pool view was absolutely stunning, and the overall experience was perfect. If you're coming to Goreme, you can't go wrong with this place!

A big shoutout to Darina, Yunus & all the rest who has helped us so attentively & replied to our messages whenever they can! One thing I would change about my trip is to make all my bookings with them! They actually have a list of vendors they worked with & in house tours which we can signed up for. We went for the Breakfast Tour & the Hammam at their sister’s hotel, both of it we absolutely loved. We would also like to commend Shams’ hospitality in guiding us on the Breakfast Tour, making our stay in Cappadocia such an enjoyable & restorative one ❤️

What is surprising is that the mineral water in plastic bottles is not free (we have been in Turkey for more than 10 days and have never encountered this situation); although it may be written on the price list and the price is not much, but Leaving this place always makes people feel stingy and disappointed. In terms of facilities, there is no exhaust fan in the bathroom, and the air conditioning is not very good. It is a bit difficult to handle the almost 40 degree weather in August. As for breakfast, maybe because I stayed there for a long time, I felt that the variety was a bit limited.

Hanan AmanI booked the hotel because of the reviews and i did not regret it at all! One thing i like the most is the fragrance of the hotel; the lobby smells so good and so did our room! They helped us with the luggages and served tea when we arrived-- the check in experience was fantastic!
Breakfast was tremendously luxurious and delicious. Tons of options and i didnt even know where to start. I did not capture the breakfast buffest since i was too busy eating. Their dessert is good too! Some turkish lokum,cakes and cookies. Wait, did i tell you that i love their salad as well? Oh yes, definitely need to mention that. Baha make sure we had a great time and even helped to deliver fries to our table before the breakfast time finished The whole team at the dining service were tip top-- they serve us with smile.
All in all, the hotel's ambience, cleanliness and nice fragrance made us so comfortable that we didnt want to leave the hotel 🤣🤣

This cave hotel is quite unique and the restaurant offers a good variety of tasty dishes. However, we stayed for three nights and were assigned to the lowest level, which had virtually no view. This definitely wasn't worth the 1300-1400 per night price tag. The room door used a traditional key, and the bathroom door needed a strong push to close properly.
On the plus side, the service was decent, and they offered complimentary bonfires. On the downside, our room didn't have a good view, and some of the facilities felt a bit dated.

Rinaldo Ferlin (Ray Ferlin)The place was clean, warm in a great location. Since I got a bad weather and stayed in the room I can say that the only thing that bugs me is the tv has only turkish channels. This is a factor to be improved due to turkish language has no similarities with English and being hard to understand. I guess because I choose the most cavely room the internet signal was weak and it was difficult to connect. Other than that I want to express my gratitude with the staff that was great.

I usually don’t write reviews, but this hotel was stunning. The staff is very friendly and very open to answer any question you might have. The pool was very refreshing for the midday hot weather in göreme. I liked the location, because it was close to everything, but not located in a loud place. The food from the hotel is very good, and they even prepared breakfast boxes for us for our early morning flight. I liked the decoration from the rooms and they smell very good. The view of the hot balloons from the hotel is incredible stunning. I will recommend this hotel and specially for kids, it even has an area for kids.

Nadine10We booked a suite and was given the wrong room. When I complained, they told me to sort it out myself. The jets in the bath smelled really bad and were horribly dirty. Breakfast was good and it was in a very good location.
