Gorgeous building based on a century old stone house. Newly refurbished. Plenty of parking space. Bar and Indian restaurant on site is very nice. However the food was too sweet to my taste.

Even though I'm a Marriott member, I often book Marriott hotels overseas through Ctrip because it's significantly cheaper than the Marriott app, usually saving me at least £50... This really shows how inflated Marriott's direct prices are. GHA, on the other hand, is the opposite; I almost never book through Ctrip because booking directly with GHA often gets me a two-category room upgrade, free breakfast, and executive lounge access by default. Durham – I apologize for my ignorance, but I only discovered this charming little town when I passed through it by train this time. I made a special trip to stay one night in Durham on my way back from Alnwick. Choosing the Delta Durham was undoubtedly a very smart decision. Outside my window, I had views of the old street, the bridge, and the castle. All the beautiful sights were within walking distance. For the train station, just Uber it, no need to think twice. This is an old building, so you shouldn't expect it to be like a modern office-building hotel; its location and views are paramount.

I think it's the best location if you go by car. I didn't have a car, so I walked or taxied from the center of the city. Walking is along the main road, so it doesn't seem to be so dangerous even at night, but it doesn't have a taste. The room is large and very clean. The bed was comfortable. Tea and coffee are all-you-can-drink. There was a building ３ and I was the farthest building from the front desk. I arrived late at night, so it was dark, so I was a little lonely and nervous to pull my suitcase and go there.

I had a very comfortable 4-night stay. The hotel was clean and hygienic, with a restaurant nearby. There was a large commercial area nearby, and a bus stop to the city center. The hotel's overall soundproofing wasn't great, but it was acceptable to me; the neighbors were all quite quiet. The scenery along the way was beautiful.

Very good, convenient for self-driving. Downstairs is a bar, which is good for a relaxing evening. It's just that the stairs are too narrow and it's inconvenient to carry the box up and down. If there are only ladies, please consider carefully.

Could do with a good update. Having radiator on ready for guests arrival would have been a nice touch, room was freezing at first. Breakfast was buffet style and a bit chaotic but got there in the end.
