"The hotel’s location is excellent—only a 7-minute walk from the train station, and most of Rome’s must-see sights are within about 20 minutes. If you want to stay in the center of everything, this place is a great choice.
However, the service was a nightmare. The elevator is almost a joke: maximum 2 people, extremely slow (luckily my room was on the 2nd floor). Maybe it’s cultural differences, but the staff here were the rudest I’ve ever experienced.
My flight from Nice to Rome was canceled, which meant I lost a night at the Hive. I called to ask for help canceling that night—it wasn’t my fault for not showing up—but both Trip.com and the hotel staff were completely unhelpful. Very disappointing and frustrating. My room was close to construction, non-stop noise over the night.
Bottom line: the location is great, but don’t expect any favors or kindness from the hotel. When you’re already stressed, their cold and unfriendly attitude will only make things worse."

I initially thought a location like this might be noisy, but it was surprisingly quiet, allowing me to get a great night's sleep. I'm not sure if all rooms are this quiet, but mine certainly was. The breakfast was excellent, offering a wide variety of choices. The front desk staff were also very friendly. If I visit Rome again, I would definitely choose to stay at this hotel."

"Great little hotel about 12 min walk from the train station (get a taxi with luggage - €15 euros). Connected to the quality bus services and metro.
Inside staff are friendly and accommodating. The room was really clean, and quality on the whole for the price.
The breakfast was good with choice.
I would definitely stay again.
Only negative was the shower screen but they had tried to resolve it. And the hallway was tired.
If you are in Rome for a couple of days and you only want a bed, Aircon and good location jump on the opportunity."

"Fantastic hotel, perfect location (very close to the trams, but not close enough to hear them) it was quiet nights, the aircon worked great and we really loved the classical feeling of the room. The staff spoke good English and where very helpful, I called prior to arriving as I read online about driving permits in Rome and the hotel staff where able to advise me.
For the price I would choose this hotel again in the future."

"Overall, the stay was very pleasant — the hotel has an excellent location, a nice environment, and the facilities are very new. However, the service from one young female receptionist was quite disappointing.
At check-in, she asked us to wait while she “checked the room,” but during this time, she processed another couple’s check-in (same room type) right away and handed them the key cards. She never called us over, and after we had already waited for about 20 minutes, I went to ask her. Only then did she act as if she had “forgotten” us and handed us the cards, saying the room was ready. This left us with a poor impression, whether it was negligence or simply an unfriendly attitude.
Later, when we realised there were no tissues in the room, we called the front desk to request some. Unfortunately, no one ever delivered them, and after that, the front desk phone was no longer reachable."

"My partner and I recently had a fantastic stay at The Cross Hotel, a lovely spot for a couple's getaway. We agree wholeheartedly with the 5/5 ratings across the board—our experience was exceptional!
The location and service were truly top-notch. The staff members were attentive, professional, and genuinely warm, ensuring every need was met instantly and making us feel welcome.
The facilities and cleanliness are beautiful. Our room was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and well-designed, providing a perfect retreat for our trip.
Our only minor suggestions would be improving the soundproofing, as we could occasionally hear conversations and noise from the hallway, and perhaps checking the AC unit, which sometimes emitted an unusual odor when first turned on.
Despite those very small issues, we highly recommend The Cross Hotel and are already planning our next trip back!"

The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, and they checked me in early. "This is a little hidden gem in the heart of Rome! The entrance into the hotel is beautiful and the rooms inside are just as nice. We arrived very early and received a warm welcome. They not only let us check in early but also upgraded us for no extra charge. Be sure to bring enough cash to pay for the tax - 7.50 euro per person per day

11381670****The family suite was quite spacious, more than enough for three people. However, the only mirror was in the bathroom; there were absolutely no mirrors in the living room or bedroom, which was very inconvenient. The front desk staff were a mixed bag; some were very slow to respond and seemed to struggle with even simple requests or processing bookings, which led to significant delays. However, one slim, middle-aged male staff member was excellent – he was very sharp, recommended a restaurant, and even helped us call a taxi.
The hotel is located near the train station, making subway access quite convenient. However, we witnessed some fights on the street at night, making it feel unsafe to go out after 10 PM. There's a restaurant near the hotel called Kuanzhai Xiangzi. Their Sichuan cuisine is very authentic, the beef noodles are incredibly delicious, and their stir-fried dishes are also tasty.

However, the front desk staff who checked me in had the worst attitude I encountered during my entire 20+ day trip through Europe. I'm very grateful for the patient and thoughtful service from Trip.com's customer support, which made me feel so warm and cared for while being in a foreign country.

MMaria MDWe stayed as a family in a premium bungalow, it is very clean and well equipped. Im honestly really impressed how clean it is. All the linen, towels, duvet are spotless. There is a dishwasher, but we didnt have a dishwasher cleaning tablets, so we couldn’t use it. There is a bbq, we didnt use it either.
The pools amenities are fantastic and really clean. There are a few eateries, a shop, a laundry. Our location was far from the pool and playgrounds, the closer units might be challenging to stay in with kids, there is a lot happening and it is loud late in the evening. Overall we really enjoyed it and kids loved it. We didnt need the shuttle bus, so cant comment on it.
The only thing is that after a checkout I entered a shop to buy something and kept my credit card in my pocket, when I wanted to pay at a cashier, my card disappeared. I searched the small shop in case it fell out but no success. So I guess you have to be careful.

GGuest UserThe hotel is very comfortable and the staff is excellent from the reception to the restaurant to the waiters, all kind and helpful. The services offered by the structure are of quality, breakfast in first place varied and abundant. The only flaw that I found in this trip was the fact that the room had problems in the evening when I arrived there was a structural problem that could happen to anyone that it was not possible to resolve it at the time because we had arrived at too late an hour and the fact that it was not possible to resolve it immediately made our stay of the first night not too comfortable. The next morning after evaluating that the problem could not be resolved promptly they changed our room to one equal to the one we had booked and the stay as always went very well. The only thing I would have expected was a refund even if only partial for the major inconvenience suffered but this was not done, it is true that on our part it was not requested, but it seemed right to me that it was done without asking. Therefore 10+ to the staff indeed if it were possible I would give 11 a little less to the management.

AAnonymous UserTraveling to Rome, I unexpectedly booked this Ibis, which is exceptionally good value. It is less than a kilometer walk from the subway. The hotel is next to a quiet community on a high ground. It is very quiet, and people are running in the early morning. The transportation is convenient, and the nearby bus and light rail are good to go everywhere. The key is that the breakfast is particularly rich. There is a Chinese restaurant opened by Wenzhou people next to the subway station. Occasionally, you can adjust your stomach. It is not expensive and quite authentic. I went out to play in Pompeii for a day, and the luggage was stored in the hotel. The service was also very good. It will still be my first choice next time I come.

GGuest UserThe hotel staff are friendly and polite. The hotel provides breakfast and there are many choices. The room was clean, tidy and big enough. The only drawback is that the location of the hotel is not good and it takes a little longer to get there by car.
