"The staffs are friendly and very supportive. Helping us to take the luggage when we check in and check out. The restaurant somemore borrow us the plate when we need to use the microwave reheat our food. And the location is super good and convenient, just a 3-5 mins walking distance to the Hanazono snow park , 7-9 mins drive to the Kutchan area Room was clean and new, just not that big that I expected, but this price range is acceptable."

"Nestled on the tranquil shores of Lake Toya, Hotel Premium Lake Toya (ホテル プレミアム・レイク トーヤ) feels like a secluded haven, a true escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The moment you step in, time seems to slow down, and your mind finds a sense of calm. Outside the window, the vast and captivating Lake Toya unfolds, with its picturesque scenery creating a living masterpiece that's unforgettable. Each guest room is meticulously crafted, like a work of art – spacious, comfortable, and adorned with warm, elegant decor. The private open-air bath in every room, with the natural fragrance of hinoki and elm wood, gently embraces your tired body and soul. At night, as soft lights illuminate the room, lying on the plush bed, the world feels wonderfully peaceful and tender. Waking up in the morning, brewing a cup of coffee and enjoying it with the lake view outside – a simple yet profoundly blissful moment unfolds. The warmth of the service is truly the most touching aspect here! From the moment you enter, you're greeted with meticulous and genuine hospitality. Thoughtfully, they arrange for you to change into comfortable slippers and offer a welcome drink; everything flows naturally and without pretense. I particularly remember a young female staff member with glasses who, with her fluent English and attentive, thorough explanations, made me feel incredibly comfortable and respected. Encountering such dedicated individuals during a trip is undoubtedly a rare stroke of luck. And the hotel's facilities are full of surprises! Outside the large public bath, complimentary drinks are available, along with table tennis and arcade games, adding a playful touch to your relaxation. The lobby features Japanese snacks and board games, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere; the relaxation area on the second floor is even more serene and comfortable – once you sit down, you won't want to leave. The dining experience here is simply sublime. Various alcoholic beverages are kept in ice buckets, freely awaiting wine enthusiasts! Dinner is exquisite and innovative; each dish is a stunning work of art, so delicious that it makes you want to return just for the food. Breakfast is delicate and abundant, awakening your taste buds and setting a wonderful tone for the day. The shiso soda thoughtfully provided in the in-room mini-fridge is incredibly refreshing after a hot spring soak, leaving a lasting, pleasant aftertaste. The toiletries have a delicate fragrance, leaving the skin soft and comfortable after use – even these small details are not overlooked. The overall service is friendly and sincere, without being overly familiar, yet maintaining just the right amount of professionalism. It truly feels like a 'just right' luxury experience! The hotel's surroundings are quiet and pristine, and transportation to and from the lakeside is convenient. Whether taking a taxi or using the hotel's shuttle service to JR Toya Station, it's effortless. It feels like Hotel Premium Lake Toya is not just a hotel, but a cherished memory of a journey. Conveniences include phones, as well as safes and desks.

"When checking into the Manseikaku Hotel, they asked us to choose our meal times. We arrived quite late, so all the good slots were taken. For two mornings in a row, I had to get up at 7:30 AM to make the 7:45 AM breakfast, which is even earlier than I wake up for work 😭. Dinner was also scheduled for 7:30 PM. However, it's fine if you're a few minutes early or late; if it's busy, you just wait in line, but if it's quiet, they'll let you straight in. Many people say that the Manseikaku's central wing hotels are a bit old, so I booked a Western-style room in the East Wing with a lake view. I found it very comfortable; the room was dry and odorless, and you could see Lake Toya right outside the window. Plus, I came during the off-season, and it was only around 1400 for one night including breakfast and dinner – super good value for money!"

"Highly recommend! We booked this hotel at the last minute because we were worried our flight might be canceled, fully expecting to just cut our losses if we didn't stay. But wow, what a pleasant surprise! The soundproofing in the room is excellent. Even with a lot of foreigners drinking and being noisy outside that night, we couldn't hear a thing from inside our room. The women's spa even has a separate shower and a door that can be closed for privacy. Superb! The toilet wasn't far from the room either, and it was genuinely clean. The next morning, we picked up some groceries from the nearby supermarket and then headed to Setsu. Perfect!"

"The views are absolutely amazing, no doubt about that. However, getting to the hotel is a hassle. You can only book their shuttle or take a taxi. There isn't much good food at the hotel either; you have to go all the way down the mountain to eat. Compared to being down the mountain, the view here just adds the sea view. Unless you specifically want to ski up here, I don't think it's worth it, as the ski resort isn't particularly outstanding, though it might be good for kids. Overall, it's not worth the trouble (not that the price isn't worth it, but it's not worth all the inconvenience)."

"My overall experience at Toyako畔亭 (Toyako Hanatei) was quite good. The hotel is right by Lake Toya, and the views are truly stunning. When I arrived yesterday, the weather was clear, and I could see Mount Yotei clearly in the distance – it was a magnificent sight. This morning, it snowed, and the lake with the falling snowflakes created a very picturesque scene. It was a completely different vibe, and both views were incredibly impressive. The onsen area was clean and comfortable, and soaking in the lake-view hot spring was especially relaxing. Dinner was excellent; the steak was delicious, tender, and juicy – definitely the highlight of the meal. Breakfast had a minor drawback: the serving time from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM felt a bit short. It can get rushed when there are a lot of people. Also, there was no seafood donburi, which would have made the selection richer. However, the overall taste was still good. Overall, it offered good value for money, and the minor issues didn't detract from the overall experience. If I visit Lake Toya again, I would definitely consider staying here."

"Convenient place to ski Rusutsu while not staying at the resort (and not paying resort prices). Shuttle service was run smoothly and even accommodated me when i screwed it up 1 time. Nothing but good things to say about the staff, and all amenity rooms were stocked and kept tidy. Shower room and adjacent corridor smelled a bit off but the rest of the place was fine. I would stay here again if i were committed to skiing Rusutsu, didnt rent a car, and didnt want to pay resort prices."

NN YipThis is a family trip for two adults and two kids. And we stayed in the hotel for 7 nights, bfast and dinner included. It's apparent in the booking that we will have kids in the stay, and yet either Trip.com/hotel charged us meals for 4 adults for the entire trip. We ended up overpaying A LOT and wasting A LOT of food because the kids couldn't finish the set meal. Yet the hotel refused to adjust / refund. This was a serious mistake made by Trip.com / hotel. The hotel provided shuttle bus to the ski resort. Good that there was early shuttle bus around 815am BUT the return shuttle was way too early (4pm) for any serious skiers. The hotel should offer more options. There was no gym in the hotel and difficult to do some proper full-body exercise. Onsen set up was nice and clean and tidy. The public onsen wasn't used much so it ended up a big private onsen for us. We like the traditional Japanese cusine but very disappointed that the chef provided limited changes on the menu during our 7 nights of stay. We spent roughly same number of nights elsewhere in Niseko and the design of their menu was way better. Staff in general was very helpful and friendly and some of them spoke English and Chinese. The hotel was short of staff IMO. I could see them running around in the hotel. The ski equipment room could be equipped with better facility to dry ski boots and gloves. Shuttle bus was only offered to Niseko but not Kutchan station which was in fact not too far away anyway. The room was clean and well maintained. The location of the hotel was great too. It's 10mins from the Niseko station and 5mins from annupuri ski run.

TTaidijunThis was my second stay at the Park Hyatt Niseko, and it seems the front desk staff was new this time. They made several mistakes, like sending us to the wrong building and getting our room direction wrong – quite unprofessional. On our third day, breakfast at the Chinese restaurant was poorly arranged; we were seated right next to the cart for collecting dirty dishes, which completely ruined our appetite. Otherwise, it was as excellent as ever! The housekeeping ladies were exceptionally good. After a day out, we returned to find our beloved teddy bear neatly placed on the pillow with a blanket over it – so thoughtful! And the teppanyaki was delicious as always!

AAnonymous UserOverall a great stay. The biggest advantage is the convenience. It is truly ski in ski out, which makes it very easy to access the slopes without needing to travel anywhere. The slopes here are also very beginner friendly. They are not too steep, which makes it a comfortable place to learn or practice skiing. I also took a 2 hour private ski lesson arranged through the hotel. Our instructor, Yuki, was very friendly, patient, and encouraging, which made the learning experience enjoyable. The only downside was the food. Both the dinner and breakfast buffet had quite limited variety, and the taste was just average. Considering the price we paid, the food did not feel very worth it. Overall, it is still a good place to stay if you want convenience and easy access to beginner friendly slopes. Just do not expect too much from the buffet.

GGuest UserThe overall experience at this hotel was quite good. The room was very clean, and the layout was well-designed. I especially appreciated the thoughtful design of the bedroom, which was enclosed with a door to ensure a very quiet environment, greatly improving the quality of sleep. The only downside was that the room had only air conditioning and no water heating, which made the air extremely dry. Even with a humidifier turned on, it didn’t help much, and my throat still felt uncomfortable at night. If they could improve the heating system or provide better humidification equipment, the experience would be even better!

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is great, within walking distance to both Hirafu ski resort and the Sansuitei restaurant! However, the hotel's hygiene management is poor. Over two days, they only changed the towels during cleaning; the floors and tables weren't cleaned at all! They just folded the comforter! I really should have planned ahead and booked a homestay. This trip was quite rushed, so I guess I'm lucky I even got a room and didn't have to sleep on the street 😂! All I can say is... everyone, plan ahead, as this place isn't cheap! The front desk offers services in Chinese, English, Thai, and Japanese.

CCatherine Lee SYRusutsu Resort is an excellent choice for families, especially those traveling with children. The resort offers a wide variety of facilities all in one place, making it very convenient and stress-free for family trips. There are indoor and outdoor activities, play areas, ski facilities, and entertainment options suitable for both kids and adults, so everyone can find something to enjoy. One of the biggest advantages is the location. The resort is very close to a convenience store, which is extremely helpful for families — whether you need snacks, drinks, daily essentials, or quick meals, everything is within easy reach. There are also many restaurants inside the resort, offering different types of cuisine. However, it’s important to note that several popular restaurants require advance reservations, especially during peak seasons. Planning ahead is highly recommended to avoid long waits or limited dining options. Overall, Rusutsu Resort is very family-friendly, well-organized, and convenient. With its wide range of facilities, nearby convenience store, and diverse dining choices, it’s a great destination for a comfortable and enjoyable family holiday — just remember to book restaurants early.

VViktoriia KWe had a wonderful stay at Niseko Grand Hotel! My friend and I truly enjoyed our time there. One of the highlights was definitely the hotel's own hot springs — absolutely amazing. There are both female-only and mixed-gender areas, which was a great option to have. The staff was incredibly friendly and always eager to help with anything we needed. Their hospitality really made us feel welcome. In fact, staying here felt more like being at a countryside residence than at a hotel — warm, peaceful, and cozy, just like home. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Niseko — and we hope we will! We stayed in a traditional Japanese-style room, which made the experience even more special. Yukata and yuami (bathing suit) were also provided. The hotel also offers free shuttle buses to the ski slopes regularly, which made it super convenient for us to enjoy the mountains. On the day of our departure, the hotel’s driver kindly took us to the nearest train station. Another standout was the hotel’s restaurant. Breakfast was included in our stay, and we also chose to have dinner there a few times. Every dish we tried was delicious and beautifully prepared. The buffet offered a wide variety of both Asian and Western cuisine, and the selection was impressive for both breakfast and dinner. We also tried eating out at a couple of other restaurants in Niseko, but we both agreed that the hotel’s restaurant was by far the best for us. Highly recommend this place!

XXiaopaokakaThis hotel is a hidden gem where I stayed for three nights. It has four floors, with the entrance and front desk located on the second floor, accessible by an elevator. On the first floor, there are separate male and female onsens (hot springs), each with three indoor baths and one open-air bath. The changing rooms are equipped with washing machines and dryers (laundry costs a very affordable 100 yen per wash, and you can buy a laundry pod at the front desk for 100 yen). The hotel offers a set breakfast (included with the stay) and dinner (can be added on arrival for 3300 yen per person), both served individually rather than buffet-style. Breakfast times are 7:00, 7:30, or 8:00 AM, while dinner is at 6:00, 6:30, 7:00, or 7:30 PM. There's a friendly Chinese-speaking staff member from Beijing at the front desk. The guest rooms are Japanese-style tatami rooms, offering views of Lake Toya and a popular photo spot. Each room includes a safe, kettle, cold drinking water, sterilized cups, a writing desk, a table lamp, a massage device, and lotion, among other amenities. The hotel also features a coffee bar and a souvenir shop near the front desk. Each room has a toilet and a sink, but no shower. The only downsides are that the entrance door to the room and the bathroom door are quite low, probably around 1.8 meters, and there's no drying room for ski gear (though with permission, you can place your ski equipment on the floor in the front desk area). The air conditioning has three powerful settings, so it never felt cold. The windows are double-paned.

EExpat EDventuresReview: 5-Night Stay at One Niseko Hotel, Japan We recently stayed five nights at One Niseko and overall enjoyed our stay, but there are some important things future guests — especially skiers — should know. The rooms were spacious, generally clean, and had very comfortable beds and linens. A few small maintenance issues could use attention, but nothing that seriously affected our stay. Breakfast was decent but fairly repetitive, with mostly the same offerings each day aside from a few rotating dishes. Transportation logistics are probably the biggest consideration. The hotel only offers one daily pickup from the Grand Hirafu bus terminal, and it requires advance reservation. The hotel shuttle itself runs only to Annupuri and Moiwa and does so infrequently, often not aligning well with lift closing times. If the upper mountain lifts close early 3:30pm if they open at all  and may unexpectedly close due to wind or snow.Yyou can easily end up far from the hotel in this situation. Without the shuttle, taxis are limited and cost around $30 USD, or you may face a crowded 1.5-hour bus ride — skis included. The hotel is also quite far from Grand Hirafu, and there aren’t many restaurants within walking distance. We even walked back from Moiwa one day in the rain because the shuttle wouldn’t return for another hour — not ideal after skiing. On the positive side, ski rental prices at the hotel were actually better than many shops in the surrounding area. The hotel restaurant is flexible too — if it’s not full, you can usually walk in without a reservation. The onsen itself is nice, but etiquette enforcement could improve. Some guests were not following standard onsen rules and wearing underwear in the baths, which created an awkward atmosphere (I felt like an exhibitionist!). Management may want to either enforce rules more clearly or consider alternative policies to maintain guest comfort (allow swimsuits). Overall, we did enjoy our stay, but unless you have a rental car, I would strongly recommend considering accommodation in Niseko Village or closer to the lifts for convenience. One Niseko is comfortable but somewhat isolated, and transportation can become challenging quickly depending on weather and lift operations.
