"The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from Aomori Station and isn't on the main commercial street, but it's just around the corner from it. It's very close to Hirota Shrine, almost directly across the street. As soon as you enter the hotel, you're greeted by the scent of apples. There are apple models on display on the first floor, and the elevators are decorated with various apple illustrations and names. The breakfast selection is quite limited. While there are a few local specialties, the overall variety of dishes is too small. The scallop meat was very tiny and shredded, not whole pieces, putting it on par with the breakfast offerings at budget chain hotels."

"Less than 5 mins walk to and from JR Shin-Aomori Station (East exit) which also houses the Aomori Tourist Information Centre.
I chose to stay near this JR Shin-Aomori station instead of JR Aomori station as the shinkansen doesn’t go to JR Aomori station. I need to take the shinkansen early in the morning on the following day to go to Akita and then transfer to the Akita shinkansen to head to my next accommodation in Tazawako.
From JR Shin-Aomori station, it’s convenient to take limited express trains direct to Hirosaki station to visit Hirosaki Castle and Park. It’s also a short journey to JR Aomori station which is where the city centre of Aomori is located.
Other than the F&B shops within Shin-Aomori station which close very early around 8pm if I recall correctly, there aren’t any F&B shops around the hotel.
Both Family Mart and Lawsons convenience stores are located a few mins walk from the South exit of the train station which is located on the other end of the station."

"Traveling from Sendai to Morioka, then Hirosaki, and finally Aomori, I was already a bit 'over' cherry blossoms and wasn't really interested in Yoshitomo Nara's works. So, Aomori itself felt a bit underwhelming for me. The hotel, however, met my expectations. I didn't have breakfast, but I did visit the public bath and enjoyed the ice cream there. The hotel itself is good – clean, well-equipped, and with good service. My only minor complaint is that it's a bit far from the JR station. Also, a 10 AM checkout feels a bit early for the Tohoku region."

"The hotel is new and the rooms are more spacious than typical Japanese hotels. I was most impressed by the bathroom! It has a separate shower and toilet area, and the bathtub is large enough for a really comfortable soak. The hotel provides a variety of daily necessities, which is a thoughtful touch. It's less than a 5-minute walk from Aomori subway station, with many restaurant options downstairs and even a few car rental companies, making it incredibly convenient. The only thing that could be improved is that the bed was a bit saggy."

"Although the room is only about 15 m², it does not feel small at all thanks to the smart layout. The room is very tidy and clean, which makes the stay comfortable and relaxing. The price is reasonable for the quality and location. Another great advantage is the convenience of many restaurants and local bars nearby, making it easy to find food and enjoy the local atmosphere.

"The location was incredibly convenient. It was close to the station, and there was a convenience store downstairs, plus many restaurants nearby. The room was clean, and the amenities were excellent. It's really appreciated that they provided a full set of skincare products, as some hotels don't anymore. Although the bathroom showed its age, it was meticulously cleaned."

"The hotel is located on a street right next to Bahnhofstrasse, about a five-minute walk from the train station. We opted for a newly renovated deluxe twin room, and all the facilities were brand new, with a decent amount of space. The lobby offers complimentary coffee, and the guest room also came with free biscuits and apple juice. Plus, there's a charger and a variety of toiletries in the room, which was a thoughtful touch.

"The onsen and breakfast were both incredible! Breakfast was buffet style with Japanese style food and lots of different drinks. I went to the onsen both when I checked in (closes at midnight) and then again in the morning before breakfast. What a treat! Staff were also very nice! The location is phenomenal as well as it's close to the station and main attractions.
Some people have said that the bed and pillows are a bit hard, but personally like it better this way as it's healthier for my back. Room is a bit older style and kind of small but I was just sleeping there anyway and so it was fine

"We were two people. The room we stayed at was not big. If you have two suitcases it will be hard to open up both of them at the same time. We didn’t have suitcases, and therefore the space was not a problem for us. The staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. I lost my gloves at a bus, and they helped me to get them back. You also got apple juice as a welcome drink at the front desk (very nice apple juice!). We used baggage storage after checking out, which was no problem. The room was very clean. When we were there they had an eco plan, which was that the room got cleaned only once at our 4 night stay, but could get towels whenever we wanted. We though it was good from the environment perspective (but we decided to not have any cleaning at all).
Overall I though our stay at this hotel was very good."

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is absolutely fantastic, right inside the train station, with the front desk on the 3rd floor of the station itself. This was a lifesaver, especially on a snowy day, as I didn't have to drag my luggage far. Downstairs, there's a bus terminal where you can catch buses to Hakkoda-san and the Aomori Museum of Art.
The onsen (hot spring) is also excellent, but try to avoid the evening rush hour. After a relaxing soak, grab an ice cream from the fridge at the front desk and head to the lounge on the same floor for some juice or a beer – it's pure bliss!
The service was outstanding, especially from a long-haired Japanese gentleman and a South Asian woman with glasses at the front desk. Both spoke fluent English and were incredibly helpful, practically fulfilling every request.
The only minor downside was the daily housekeeping. I had a used contact lens that I'd left on the large bath towel, and the next day, it was still there, untouched. It seems the cleaning wasn't very thorough.
All in all, if you're visiting Aomori, you can't go wrong with this hotel – it's a guaranteed great stay!

GGuest UserBreakfast and dinner are divided into Japanese and Western styles. Dinner is very ceremonial, especially French food. The hotel is very close to the ski resort and Suantang Hot Spring, and there is a shuttle bus. The restaurant has a good view. It is very pleasant to sit in the warm restaurant, drink hot coffee, and look at the snow outside.

Facilities:
Some are old, the air conditioner sound is particularly loud, if you mind, you should pay attention to the tatami and quilt sleep very well, it is this quilt is too short, or I sleep in fact, the back of the cushion, the cabinet seems to see the cushion and quilt, and pay attention to no bathroom, To take a bath in the public bathroom, you can soak in a hot spring (the hotel has a total of 25 rooms, don't worry about too many people, dirty or something)
Health:
The white socks I wore on the tatami were not dirty, but the shower faucet was a bit old and there was scale
Services:
The English service is an old gentleman, very tasteful, very polite, is to order the room service ~ for the Japanese, breakfast can be used for 1,500 yen, pay attention to the slippers in the room, I actually wear the shoes outside, the service staff reminded me, I don't understand the meaning, but the gesture should mean it.
In general, if you want to experience traditional Japanese style, you can consider staying. There are paintings everywhere in the corridor and the atmosphere is very strong.

GGuest UserWe stayed at Asamushi Onsen (about 20mins drive from Aomori downtown) as part of our 2025 Spring trip to Aomori area, and booked Tstsumikan Onsen hotel to stay for the night. The hotel location is great. I think all guest rooms come with open ocean view. No private hot spring tub in the guest room but the large gender-specific hot spring pools are open privately to the overnight stay guests from 8PM to the next morning. The stay comes with 2 meals. The food is good and the dinner was served directly in the guest room. The next morning Japanese breakfast was served in the great tatami dinning room, and the breakfast package even comes with free coffee in the gift shop café after the meal. The staff are warm, and the service is good. My recommendation to this hotel come with no hesitation.

GGuest UserJapanese hot spring hotel, simple, good environment. I was the only foreigner that day. It's just a few steps from Asamushi Station, but there are not many shops around and they have business hours. I arrived late that day and had no food, so I had to ask the front desk aunt to make an appointment for the hot spring. There are three, I randomly chose an empty one, the hygiene is OK, maybe there are not many people in the off-season, but if you have a cleanliness obsession, you can ignore the bath. I went to Aomori and came back late after dinner. The front desk changed to an uncle, who helped me connect to the wifi, and was quite kind. There was no hot water when I washed my face at 12 pm, and the toilet was also cold. The next morning, the water was still cold, but the toilet water was hot. When I left, the front desk changed to an old lady, who kept bowing to see me out. I wanted to smoke a cigarette in the yard before leaving, but I felt embarrassed. I waited for a while before going back to smoke one in the yard before leaving. If time is not urgent, I will stay next time and make an appointment for Japanese set meals in advance, both at noon and in the evening, (it must be early) It should be the kind that the surrounding merchants receive orders and deliver to the hotel, which is cheap and affordable.

The room was nice and large and the beds were comfortable. The only thing that was a bit lacking was the size of the bathroom. The friendly staff and dinner made up for that though.

11381600****The hotel staff were incredibly friendly. The Hakkoda Ropeway was canceled, and we were planning to take a public bus to Sukayu Onsen ourselves. When the staff learned of our plans, they proactively arranged a shuttle bus for us. We also found out about a snow hiking tour at Sukayu Onsen on Xiaohongshu and decided last minute to join it. A special thanks to the front desk attendant, OMA SAN, who helped us communicate with the hiking tour guide, allowing us to successfully join the tour and avoid any regrets on this trip.

GGuest UserThe lobby on the first floor was an old hotel impression, but the room seemed to have been rehome and I didn't particularly care, it was large enough and convenient with suitcases. Bus stop Shinmachi ichichome is the nearest, and it takes 20 minutes to walk to Aomori station.
