"The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic, right inside the train station, with the front desk on the 3rd floor of the station itself. This was a lifesaver, especially on a snowy day, as I didn't have to drag my luggage far. Downstairs, there's a bus terminal where you can catch buses to Hakkoda-san and the Aomori Museum of Art. The onsen (hot spring) is also excellent, but try to avoid the evening rush hour. After a relaxing soak, grab an ice cream from the fridge at the front desk and head to the lounge on the same floor for some juice or a beer – it's pure bliss! The service was outstanding, especially from a long-haired Japanese gentleman and a South Asian woman with glasses at the front desk. Both spoke fluent English and were incredibly helpful, practically fulfilling every request. The only minor downside was the daily housekeeping. I had a used contact lens that I'd left on the large bath towel, and the next day, it was still there, untouched. It seems the cleaning wasn't very thorough. All in all, if you're visiting Aomori, you can't go wrong with this hotel – it's a guaranteed great stay!"

"Room incredibly cold. Unable to adjust using AC remote to achieve a sweet-spot temperature after repeated attempts. We ended up simply turning off usage. Toilet no warmer with damaged bidet. They tried repairing but to no avail. Offered room change but we declined since checking out next day. Customer service in Japan never fails but this hotel facilities surely need attention. Applaud also to the front desk team whom seemingly multi-tasked from being a concierge to repairman. Amazing force to be reckoned 👍"

"The room was spacious enough. It's a bit far from the JR station, about 150 by taxi. There are also buses, so if it's not snowing, taking the bus is an option. There are plenty of local eateries within a 10-minute walk. I recommend Tengu Yakiniku; their food is excellent."

"Enjoyed my stay at Dormy Inn Aomori. Not much to do in Aomori city so the hotel was a good pit stop to take a breather on a 2 week vacation in Japan. The hot spring is adequately big with indoor and outdoor areas (the outdoor large pot bath was amazing!), loved the massage chairs and chill corner with free ice cream. Also appreciated the night soba which was salty but delicious . Breakfast was a big spread with DIY tuna and scallop bowls, and really nice dessert! Only complaint is that the hotel is quite far from the station, need to walk about 10 minutes but there are shops along the way."
