"This time, for my stay in Nagoya, I chose the Toyoko Inn Nagoya Kanayama, and overall, my experience was incredibly satisfying. The hotel's location is super convenient, just a few minutes' walk from the station, making it easy to get to downtown Nagoya for sightseeing or to Centrair (Chubu Centrair International Airport). The surrounding area also has great amenities, with convenience stores and restaurants aplenty, which is a thoughtful location for travelers. The room, while not large, was very clean and tidy. The moment I walked in, I could feel the usual Japanese hotel sense of freshness and order. The bed was soft and comfortable, and the pillow height was just right, allowing me to sleep soundly until morning. Although the bathroom was compact, it was fully equipped; the hot water came quickly, and the water pressure was stable, making showers even more comfortable than at home. What pleasantly surprised me was that they offer free breakfast! Although it's a buffet, there's a good variety, from rice balls, miso soup, sausages, and salad to coffee – everything you need, and the taste was quite good too. Especially that warm bowl of miso soup; having a sip in the morning instantly gave me that 'I'm ready to tackle today!' feeling (laughs). The staff were also excellent, always smiling, patient, and thorough whether I was checking in or asking for directions, giving a real sense of being welcomed. The overall value for money is very high, and I highly recommend it for both business trips and leisure travel. In summary, the Toyoko Inn Nagoya Kanayama is a great hotel that offers a reassuring stay, satisfying food, and a good night's sleep. If I had to give a score, I wouldn't hesitate to give it full marks, and I'd secretly add a 'visit again' praise in my mind."

"It’s an old hotel however, it’s relatively well maintained and very clean. Room is clean and spacious. Location is superb. It’s located at Nagoya Station and has easy access to other local trains such as the Meitetsu and Kintetsu (these are local metro which has their own station within Nagoya station). And this hotel has direct access at 3F to the bus terminal as well. View out of the room is great and there’s lots of natural light. There used to be a department store at the lower level of the hotel (The hotel company actually runs the Meitetsu metro and the department store) however in February 2026, the department store has since closed down as there were plans to re-modernise the entire building"

"This is a fantastic airport hotel! It's super convenient, located right across from the Meitetsu Line subway station hall, which connects directly to the terminal building. Perfect for those arriving in the afternoon or departing early in the morning. What's even better is how spacious the rooms are, and they all have large windows. Some room types even offer views of Ise Bay, which is stunning and expansive. The breakfast spread is incredibly generous too. Plus, there are plenty of comfortable lounge areas in the lobby on the first floor. It's all very thoughtful and relaxing."

"Being a corner room, the room is spacious, which allows to have 2 luggages open up in the room while still plenty of space to move around. There is a massage chair in the room, which is a nice to have for relaxing at the end of the day. The view from the room was nice, and it was not too noisy despite being close to the street. There are Lawson, 7Eleven, Family Mart nearby within walking distance. The hotel is walkable distance to Nagoya station. There is a lift nearby which can lead to the station via an underground street, which makes it convenient if you have to transport your luggages to the station, but it takes some time to navigate through it. The only problem we have with the hotel was that there was no free parking even for people staying at the hotel, and the paid parking provided by the hotel does not allow entry/exit after 23:00, so we have to park our car at a paid parking around the corner instead after our late night out."

"The hotel is super conveniently located right after exiting Kanayama Station; just walk through the commercial plaza. There's an Aeon mall right next door, making it incredibly easy to find places to eat, drink, and shop. The lobby even has claw machines featuring Nagoya-themed plush toys. While the breakfast selection wasn't extensive, everything tasted excellent. The room was very quiet, and overall, I was extremely satisfied."

"The room was quite spacious, and the bathroom, with its separate wet and dry areas, was larger than most hotel bathrooms. It's very close to Nagoya Station, with a 7-Eleven right downstairs. About 300 meters away, there's a 24-hour Aeon supermarket and a rather large drug store. There's also a street with many dining options within 300 meters. Plus, there's a shrine downstairs with several cats!"

"The hotel is located in a relatively remote area, so it might be a bit difficult to carry luggage if you're not driving. However, it offers a high level of privacy, and the rooms are spacious and provide toiletries and skincare products. Only smoking rooms are available, but there is an air purifier in each room."

"I came for a concert, and the hotel is right behind Niterra, so it was super convenient to just step out. It's also very close to Kanayama Station, which made shopping and getting to the airport easy. For Japan, the room size was decent and had all the necessary amenities. The lobby offered free coffee, and they even thoughtfully wrote a message for concert-goers."

"It was a short and easy ride on train from airport. Only about 10 min. The price was reasonable. The service was alright. Brealfast was alright. They have an onsen but we didn't use it. Our neighbors were loud in the morning and the walls were thin. Bed was smal but room was spacious. It was clean and convenient and that was most important."

"Conveniently located right next to Fushimi Station, the exit nearby has an elevator to the street level. Check-in is via machine and straightforward to use. Amenities are at the lobby floor and has a very good variety. 3 laundry machines only but could be monitored from the room TV. Room is spacious and fun with the themes. Only small drawback is the small bathroom where the sink overlaps with the bathtub. Otherwise a great pleasant stay."
