"The location is super convenient, right across from the station square. I arrived a little after one and the front desk kindly checked me in, which was a nice touch. My room had a view of the snowy mountains, the City Hall Observation Deck, the Glass Museum, and the green roof of Toyama Castle. If you stay multiple nights and opt out of full cleaning (only trash emptied and towels changed), you get a free drink voucher redeemable at the vending machine on the first floor. Foreign guests can also get a free tram ticket at the front desk, valid for two rides. Breakfast was decent, and you can even take coffee to go."

"Great location, just 1min walk away from Toyama Station on level 5 of the Maroot building . It’s a perfect base to move around the Tateyama region. The room is on the small side but adequate and well furnished. For tourists who need the iron & ironing board, there are 2 sets per floor that you can use. This is a lifesaver. I’ve had to deal with the trousers presser only at certain hotels, much to my dismay. This was a nice change."

"The hotel room is newly renovated and very bright, making for a comfortable stay. The TV is a new smart TV, so you can watch YouTube. The lobby even offers welcome drinks, which is a thoughtful touch.
The hotel's location is convenient; it's only about a 5-10 minute ride on the light rail from Toyama Station, and the trains run frequently, so you don't have to worry about long waits. There's also a Family Mart and a 7-Eleven nearby, perfect for grabbing late-night snacks.
The only minor drawback is that the sound insulation of the room door isn't great. If guests speak loudly in the corridor late at night or early in the morning, you can hear it quite clearly."

"Before trip, I think this hotel is located close to Toyama station but I walked from Toyama station to the hotel around 20 minutes (However, this was my own fault for not reading the hotel’s location information carefully).
For this hotel, the facilities is very well and various such as public bath, electric body massage machine, vending machine.
For the public bath, if you use it during the daytime, you’ll probably get a beautiful view of the Japan Alps surrounding the city. Unfortunately, I used it at night, when it was too dark to see the view."

"Location is a short distance away from the Toyama station. But everything else is perfefct.
I loved that my room had a small onsen as well, so I could continue to soak in the comfort of my room after visiting the big onsen. Both were great and it really helps to relax the body after a long day.
Staff were friendly and went out their ways to assist with my requests. Really 10/10."

"The hotel's location is fantastic; you can see its top-floor sign as soon as you exit the south exit of Toyama Station. There are many dining options nearby, offering a wide variety of choices. The room looked quite simple and clean, but there was a large stain on the inner rim of the toilet, near the bidet spray, which was very off-putting. The room was a smoking room, so the smell of smoke was very strong. If you don't smoke, try to choose a non-smoking room. I didn't pay close attention to that beforehand."

"Due to a booking error made by the agent, my check-in experience was terrible. I spent the entire night communicating with Ctrip (the booking platform), and while it was eventually resolved, I was still disappointed that I didn't get the room I wanted. The hotel is right next to Toyama Castle, and you might get lucky and see the Tateyama Mountain Range from the side. There's a convenience store and a tram station across the street, which is generally good. However, the room itself was very basic, and the service wasn't particularly warm. Overall, the experience was just average. A small surprise was the mochi pounding and sake offering on New Year's Day morning."

"This was my first trip to Toyama, and I did a lot of research before booking a hotel. I ended up choosing the Oarks Canal Park Hotel because of its great value for money. The location is incredibly convenient, just a 3-minute walk from Toyama Station. You can also easily walk to Canal Park to visit the famous 'most beautiful Starbucks'. The hotel room was quite spacious and very clean. They clean every three days, but daily cleaning can be arranged if requested. If you opt out of daily cleaning, they still provide fresh bath towels, hand towels, and toothbrushes, along with UCC coffee capsules every day. The room had an excellent view; I loved opening the curtains each morning to a different scenery. The only downside was that they only provided a complimentary bottle of drinking water on the first day of my stay. I had to go to a supermarket near the station every day to buy water. Overall, I was satisfied."

Jav CManaging a booking for 8 rooms for a large group of 16 (including a child) can be a logistical challenge, but Hotel JAL City Toyama handled our stay flawlessly. We booked the Superior Twin Rooms for a one-night stopover on May 14th to rest up during our Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route itinerary. The rooms were spotless, modern, and incredibly comfortable. The hotel's location and efficiency made coordinating our large group's early morning movements so much easier. Highly recommended for anyone traveling through Toyama with a big party!

The hotel is conveniently located near Toyama Station. Downstairs, there's a Japanese restaurant and a sushi place, but unfortunately, neither accepts reservations, so you have to queue. There's also a convenience store on the first floor. The front desk is on the second floor, where you can pick up toothbrushes, toothpaste, makeup remover, skincare, tea bags, drip coffee, and bath salts – a really good selection. You need your room card to access the elevators. The room itself is a bit small but quite new, and the layout is pretty efficient. My only complaint is the narrow and long entryway; with a 24-inch suitcase open, only one person can pass through at a time. It would be perfect if that hallway were a bit wider. The bathroom gets a huge thumbs-up! It's spacious, with a separate bathtub and shower, and the shower floor dries very quickly. For room cleaning, you need to put a sign on your door. If you only need fresh towels and trash emptied, you can leave them outside your door in the morning, and they'll hang new ones on the doorknob. They provide two bottles of water daily. Toyama Castle and the 'most beautiful Starbucks' are both within walking distance.

sparrowclThe hotel is right next to the JR Toyama station & the Dentetsu Toyama station, which is super convenient if you are going to nearby cities like Kanazawa or planning to go to Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route. The plus point is the location. The hotel has standard facilities though a bit dated while the room is the typical small size as other JP hotels(not as spacious as mentioned in other reviews). There are free beverages and two massage chairs for guest use in lobby.

Guest UserThe hot spring is very good, it is alkaline water, especially good for the skin, after soaking, the skin feels bright and comfortable. The hot spring is very large, there are various ways to soak, the outdoor open-air hot spring is also very beautiful, there is a bubble pool indoors, and there is also a strong impact to heal tired legs.
The kaiseki cuisine is delicious, Toyama Prefecture has very good seafood, every night is very exquisite.
The waiters are very good, and there are also waiters who understand Chinese.
There is a spectacular snow scene in winter, and there are two medium-sized ski resorts next to it, which is convenient for skiing.

The tram station is also nearby, making getting around easy.
Apparently, you can choose your pillow, but when I looked, there was only one.
There were two pillows on one bed in the room, which was sufficient.
The welcome drink bar only had drinks; there were no snacks.
Breakfast was delicious. I especially liked the kinpira (braised burdock root and carrot).

The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from Toyama Station, which is quite convenient. The facilities seem a bit old, especially the mattress in the room, which was too soft – probably due to age. They offer free coffee and drinks. Breakfast is served on the top floor with a great ambiance and a good variety of dishes. The hotel price is affordable, so overall, it's excellent value for money.

The front desk staff were super friendly! I accidentally booked a smoking room, but they kindly helped me switch to a non-smoking one. They offer free ramen in the evenings, and there's complimentary whiskey, red wine, and ice cream in the lobby – I couldn't resist having ice cream twice, haha. The location is really convenient; Toyama isn't very big, so you can easily walk to a few famous attractions. If you're visiting Toyama Castle, definitely pop over to the city hall's observation deck for a panoramic view of Toyama, the distant snow-capped mountains are absolutely stunning.

The hotel is next to Toyama Station. It is said to be in Showa style. The decoration is old and you need a key to open the door. The walls of the room are not very clean, but the price is relatively cheap. The quilt does not have a quilt cover, which feels unhygienic.
