"23 years later, I went back to the University of Tsukuba where I was a postdoctoral fellow. I knew there was no hotel on campus, so I chose this hotel that was closer to the University of Tsukuba. If you live alone, it's pretty good. The front desk clerk I met was very friendly. Because it was New Year's Day holiday, the hotel restaurant was closed. I had dinner at an almost pure buffet restaurant across the road from the hotel the first day and at the station the next day. Breakfast at Starbucks."

Although it is in the annex, it is very convenient.
After getting off the bus, you can take the elevator to the second floor of the main building at Tsukuba Center, and then take the elevator/stairs down to the first floor to check in.

"The stay experience was very satisfactory. Breakfast provides Japanese food choices, exquisite and delicious, making people feel good early in the morning. There is a large bathhouse in the hall, the bath is comfortable and relaxing, and the travel fatigue is swept away. The rooms are clean and tidy and well equipped. The most worth mentioning is that the location is very convenient, just next to the Research Academy Station, whether it is to go to Tsukuba Mountain or the urban traffic is very convenient. "Since it is far from Tsukuba station, it is safer to move by car or taxi in summer or winter. The facilities are clean and I wanted to use it again. Since there is only one large communal bath, men and women will be switched on an hourly basis. The number of beds may be different from the photo, so please read it carefully when making a reservation. The double room had a double bed size and was not two. Lack of confirmation here ..."

JJishnuThis is one of the best hotel I have stayed in Japan within reasonable prices. I was visiting Center for computational science, Tsukuba University. The shuttle service of the hotel is very nice and convenient. If you are visiting KEK this hotel is also perfect. The one thing I love about the hotel is the public bath and the Sauna.
One thing is missing is the public bus information. That is a bit confusing if you are travelling from the Tsukuba center.

Although the staff at the front desk can only communicate in basic English, they have a very good attitude and are very enthusiastic. There are a lot of manga in the hall, so I think it's comfortable in that sense as well.
The only thing that's a bit questionable is the location, which is far from the station and a little far from the bus stop.
It's along a main road, so if you're driving it shouldn't be a problem.
By the way, the nearest bus stop is in front of Hama Sushi on Google Maps, but in reality it's not there but in front of what looks like a game shop.
