Hotel Nikko Tsukuba
8.8 (158 reviews)

Hotel Nikko Tsukuba ★★★★

📍 1 Chome-1364-1 Azuma, Tsukuba

"The room is very spacious, much larger than expected. Although it is in the annex, it is very convenient. After getting off the bus, you can take the elevator to the second floor of the main building at Tsukuba Center, and then take the elevator/stairs down to the first floor to check in. There is a reminder to recycle toothbrushes inside. It is worthy of being Japan, environmentally friendly♻️ The sunken square next to the door is also quite design-oriented. There are very few people."

KAMENOI HOTEL TSUKUBASAN ★★★★
"This was my first time staying here, but it's a hotel I'd definitely like to return to. Since my check-out time was early, it would have been helpful if I could have used the parking lot in front of the building. Because it was so early in the morning, there was no shuttle service to the lower parking lot... However, aside from that, I was very satisfied and would like to return again."

Hotel Bestland ★★★
"The hotel is great, the onsen is small, the 2nd floor was a bit weird, you get with your yukata, and there is a fancy restaurant there. I liked the hotel, is family friendly but the beds and pillows were really terrible. I had a bad sleep. Super hard."

Tsukubasan Hotel Aokiya ★★★
"This is clearly a long-established resort hotel in Mt. Tsukuba, situated halfway up the mountain with unobstructed south-facing views that extend all the way to Tokyo Skytree. The onsen (hot spring) is located on the rooftop, perfect for soaking while watching the sunset or sunrise. Dinner and breakfast are typical Japanese kaiseki meals, exquisite and delicious. Although the hotel facilities are old, the rooms are being gradually renovated and are clean, tidy, and well-organized. Behind the hotel are Mt. Tsukuba Shrine and the cable car leading up the mountain."

"The rooms have been renovated and look better than the exterior suggests, but the floors are noticeably dirty and appear not to have been cleaned. The walls seem thin, as noise from the floor above and the next room was quite audible. I stayed here because I had business at the International Conference Center, but it's quite far away."

Tsukubasan Onsen Edoya ★★★★
"My stay at this accommodation was absolutely fantastic and far exceeded my expectations! The place was impeccably clean and wonderfully quiet, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The hosts were incredibly kind and attentive, making me feel right at home. One of the highlights was the food—breakfast and dinner were served daily, and each meal was unique, prepared with incredibly fresh ingredients. Every dish was delicious and thoughtfully crafted, adding a special touch to the experience. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable, clean, and welcoming stay. It’s truly exceptional and well worth it!"
