We stayed two nights in Milano Grand, and the experience was absolutely perfect from the beginning to the end.
The hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
Thank you very much to Lucky manager, whose goodness and professionalism have changed our stay.
Our heavy baggage was brought to the room, and we were given excellent recommendations to visit, to eat, and even a scooter was reserved and organized for our next day explorations.
The breakfast was royal: fresh fruit, fresh smoothies, variety and generosity.
The rooms were large, very clean, and really comfortable.
The location is perfect: just next to the road station. And above all, at the check-out, Lucky personally accompanied us to the station, to show us exactly what bus to take. A rare, careful, and deeply appreciated gesture.
For the price, quality, reception and kindness of the staff, this hotel is widely worth 5 stars.

"The lake next to the property is beautiful and the owner is really accommodating - he escorted me to the lookout as it is dangerous to go out by yourself in the evening and early morning because of the elephants that may wander through the area.
Both him and his wife were very accommodating and helpful. I would definitely stay here again if I come back to Sigiriya.
The room has a tea and coffee station, a mini fridge, and air conditioning.
You are in nature, so if you don’t mind a couple of little frog friends in the bathroom, and you are a bird enthusiast, then this is the place for you."

"I have to say, this hotel is one of the best hotels I have stayed in in Sri Lanka. It's only been open for 3 years, so everything is new. The hotel is in the form of a tree house, which is very unique, but there is no need to worry about safety issues. There are CCTVs everywhere in the hotel, and the hotel will ensure your safety. The hotel is very private, with only ten rooms in total, so it doesn't feel crowded or noisy at all, which is very suitable for vacation. The swimming pool is also very clean and the night view is beautiful. I would recommend this hotel to any friend who is going to Sri Lanka. Although it is not the most expensive hotel in my trip, it is the best and most impressive hotel. It’s really a treasure hotel~ I hope its business will get better and better^btw The breakfast is a set menu, which is delicious and rich~"

"The hotel has a very friendly reception and exceptional service staff, which creates a very positive first impression. The pool area is lovely, surrounded by lush vegetation and equipped with hammocks perfect for relaxing in the sun.
The path to the bungalows and small apartments is adorned with well-kept gardens, full of life, where you can observe squirrels and birds. This connection with nature makes the stay really special and enjoyable.
The interior of the room is incredibly spacious, with two huge and very pretty beds. We appreciated the detail of the flowers that were left for us; it really adds a special and pleasant touch to the stay. It has a small terrace, which is perfect for relaxing after a day exploring the surroundings. Spending time there was great. The bathroom is also very spacious.
As for breakfast, I think they should improve the Western options a bit to live up to the category of their facilities. It is a small sacrifice that they could easily improve. The only negative detail was the internet connection, which failed us on several occasions. We had to call reception twice to have the connection checked, which was a bit of a pain.
However, it should be noted that the hotel is a bit far from the nightlife; you need to walk about 15 minutes along the road to reach the restaurants where you can dine. Despite this, the tranquility of the place makes up for the minor inconvenience.
In short, the hotel's ambiance, along with its attention to detail and the natural beauty that surrounds it, all contribute to a memorable experience."

"We chose Hotel Sigiriya due to its proximity to The Lion Rock entrance. Distance from hotel is roughly 8 mins. Please note, it’s advisable to not WALK!
Remember to order a tuk-tuk in advance if you plan to climb Sigiriya and watch the sunrise. We left at 5am and paid a return ride of LKR1,500 for two person. Our tuk-tuk driver Chaminda +94 ********* took good care of us -two 50yrs old ladies who successfully climbed the summit.
Typical of Ceylonese people the hotel staffs were warm and friendly. Shout out to Tharaka (Reception Manager) who always greeted us with a smile and Shehan Restaurant Manager for entertaining us during our 3 day stay.
Our room was a bit dated but clean and comfortable. Good hot shower and acceptable water pleasure. Nice to return to a room that’s been nicely made after 2 hard days of stairs climbing - the Pidurangala (first day) and Sigiriya (second day). Our travel dates were May 31 - Jun 3.
Good variety for breakfast buffer - Sri Lankan and Western. The same applies to dinner buffer too. Overall, nice hotel and yes will stay again."

"The hotel is nice, spacious beautiful room at check in we were treated to a refreshing juice. There is a big pool on the grounds and a big jacuzzi with hot water in the room.
Minuses of the hotel:
Far from the attractions. Taxi from the center only go there for the price of pick me x2. Hotel taxi are 3 times more expensive. There are no stores and restaurants near the hotel, so inside the hotel prices for food x3, Also after 6pm it is dangerous to be outside because elephants are walking around. Now let's talk about the premium status and the five races. In 7 years of traveling, this is the first hotel that did not have a bathrobe, slippers and toothbrush and toothpaste in the room. The plumbing in the shower leaks, and the doors creak so much that you could call the spirits at night. Regarding the attention to the customer. I mentioned my upcoming birthday in conversation with the manager, but this fact was not used in any way to show any form of attention from the hotel. This is a huge miscalculation on the part of the staff at a premium hotel. We also had a late departure and our request to delay in the hotel for a couple of hours was refused. This was not due to the arrival of new customers, as the manager offered to extend our stay for a fee. For future customers this fact may be decisive in their choice. In general, the hotel is not bad, but the service and flexibility of the staff, as well as individual approach to customers, does not correspond to the premium level and requires improvement."

PPatricia FrancescaWe stayed one night here. Very friendly and nice staff. Mr. Bandara and his team welcomed us warmly. A lovely and quiet place and beautiful garden. We were served with very good breakfast, bread, butter , jam, sausages, omelette, coffee or tea, fruits, juice and 2 local dishes ( sambol and Dal curry with rice). We would like to say thank you. There is coffee , tea and kettle in the room and a bottle of water too.

What truly made the experience exceptional was the owner. He was incredibly friendly, helpful, and always went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. From offering great local suggestions to organizing transport for us whenever required, his support made our trip even more enjoyable and stress-free.

NNhanWe got very nice experience when staying here 1 night. The room was perfect for our family of 3. We just had to pay for the 3rd person's breakfast.
The Logde located nearby the Lion rock and village, easy to find and go to the rock or the Gambulla city within 10min.
The host Isuru was very welcoming from the start and made sure that we had all that we needed. ( hot water, drinking water, towels, AC, fan). We also really appreciated Mr Alain, a french gentleman resident in the sameplace! The room also had all the necessary for us to not be bitten by insects (scents and more). There was also a room for the driver at a very resonnable price. However we found the wifi a little weak, but else everything was good.
In the surroundings it is peaceful, and we woke up to nice little sound of the nature and a well prepared typical srilankan breakfast and fruits! Delicious!

SShioriAs the name suggests, it is a retreat in the jungle. There are no windows, and the trees are the natural windows. You can meet squirrels and monkeys, and you are surrounded by the sounds of many birds and insects in the morning and at night. The hotel offers a variety of activities, which can be booked.
The beginning of April, when we stayed, was firefly season, and when it rained in the evening, more than a dozen fireflies surrounded our mosquito net.

GGuest UserGreat place to stay if you want to explore the lions rock and the area around. Pidurangala rock is only 15min away by tuk tuk, the lions rock can be done by walk (~20min walk to entrance). But the best experience was the kindness of the hosts. The helped us in every way (explaining routes, advices on activities, organizing tuk tuk, etc.). The food was amazing and we had a lot of interesting conversations with the friendly stuff. Special thanks to Daushna, Larush & Nimal for making our stay remarkable.

GGuest UserMango juice was served as soon as I entered the door. The Lion Rock is right opposite the door, with a great view. It is also very large, like a resort in the forest. The service is very good and enthusiastic.
The overall facilities of this hotel are relatively old, and there is not a single charging port in the whole room. Later, I could only unplug my phone to charge it. The king-size bed room is made up of two single beds, which is very magical.
The breakfast is good, recommended. There are also people performing in the bar/restaurant in the evening, and the atmosphere is very good

GGuest UserThe environment is great, a large mango garden, the hotel only occupies a small area in the middle, walk in the early morning and evening in the middle of the green grass, monkeys running around the hotel, or relax on a deck chair in the room with a balcony at night Drinking a clear spring.
