"Overall Rating: ⭐⭐⭐ (3/5) We recently stayed here for a short family trip. While the hotel has some fantastic features for families, there were a few significant hiccups during our stay. The Highlights • Enormous Space: The grounds are undeniably huge. There is plenty of room for children to run around and burn off energy, which we really appreciated. • Breakfast: The spread lives up to the Marriott standard with a wide variety of choices. We opted to eat at the hotel for convenience so we could jump straight into the pool afterward. • Family Friendly: It feels like a solid family hotel with a massive main pool area and a dedicated Kids Club. The Drawbacks • Kids Club Fees: Be aware that most activities at the Kids Club come with an extra charge, so they aren't ”free” perks of the stay. • Maintenance & Weather: During a heavy rainstorm, the electricity cut off, and we noticed water dripping inside the building. The property is starting to show its age in these moments. ⚠️ Safety Warning for Parents If you are traveling with small children, please be extremely careful at the pool next to the Kids Club. While wading with my baby, I stepped on a broken tile or sharp grout at the foot of the pool which resulted in a large, deep cut on my toe. It was a painful injury that fortunately didn't require stitches, but it is a major safety concern for anyone with little ones. Summary: A good choice for a family getaway due to the size and facilities, but the hotel needs to urgently address pool maintenance and room leaks."

"The rooms are clean and spacious, and the service is excellent. This time, the breakfast menu offered a wide variety of choices by the sea. There's a children's pool with play equipment, and another pool for adults with a beautiful, relaxing view. Dinner at the hotel was reasonably priced and the seafood was plentiful."

"Lovely, silent place. Good breakfast bufe, but warm diches were cold. You can order omelet, so you can get something warm. Really good selection of special local sweet bites."

"This hotel has two wings. The Ocean Wing rooms come with a private beach, but parking is limited. The Garden Wing offers a shuttle service to the beach. When booking, pay attention to which wing you are reserving."

"We had a great time staying at Novotel Rayong. The quiet beach was a definite plus. Not as many people. The spa manager was amazing and very helpful..Had a great and relaxing holiday with lots of good food and relaxing messages."

"The room we get is very nice and huge has 2 bathrooms. The beach is also very beautiful with a lot of lovely peacocks. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Actually we want to relax here as I read a lot of reviews many people say the island was very beautiful and quiet not busy but we had such bad luck. The other group makes noise all the time too loud. Staff apologies about it. I like everything here since I took the boat until I went back. Accept at that time I went too busy and annoyed very much."

"All the staff provided excellent service. We visited during durian season, and the hotel even offered a service and space to store our durians, which was fantastic. The breakfast was wonderful, with fresh, pulp-free juice and a great variety of options. The beach was clean and peaceful, perfect for relaxation. The only issue was with the room itself; it seemed the housekeeping hadn't checked thoroughly. There was a half-empty water bottle left in the fridge from the previous guest, and a snack bag in the trash bin that hadn't been emptied. Other than that, everything else was great."

"The hotel is dated and does need updated. But if you’re realistic with what you can expect from a $80/night and a clean, peaceful quiet private beach, this hotel is a very good one. They are definitely short of staff for the high season. But they try very hard to make things comfortable for you. They fixed the fridge door and bought back in an hour. The front desk staff helped carrying bags and deliver yo your door. They all did extra works. Breakfast is sufficient and up to standard. Thai selections are quite tasty though. Lunch and dinner menus have considerable variety of Thai (more) and Western (less). Simple restaurants close by but if you have cravings for fancier Western food, it’s 40 minutes away. A good location if you have a car."

"Had great 3nights stay. The hotell staff is lovely, service is their priority. Our room located highest floor, great view but they are little old and lacking amenities (need improvement) . Breakfast was good. Beach is so peaceful and nice clean."

"We had an amazing stay! The camp was brand new and very clean. The beach sand was so soft! We want to thank Joey, the wonderful and attentive Camp Cayla staff who made our stay great. As soon as we arrived he arranged everything according to what we liked. He asked us if we wanted to rent a scooter which we choose to do and he organised everything! In the middle of the night we didn’t know how to turn the aircon off (we were holding it too far away) and he was at our door within a few minutes and showed us how to turn it off. He was always on-site and took care of us well! The room was very clean, comfortable and cosy. There were some small ants but that’s expected. We had insect spray so it was fine. Negatives: The property is not fenced so there lots of dogs that come very close, this maybe an issue for people that have a fear of dogs or if there’s small children playing around. The bar/ restaurant/ reception area is not ready yet, there is no where to buy food close by."
