Genteng Hotels with Pools

"I booked this hotel on a whim for a business trip, and when I arrived, I was pleasantly surprised. The lobby was bright and airy, and my room was well-ventilated with no musty smell. The bed was comfortable, and they offered a choice of soft or firm pillows. The cleaning staff always greeted me with a smile, and the security guard by the elevator would say hello even when I came back late. The location was great too, just a few minutes' walk to the subway, with plenty of dining options nearby. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, no regrets. It's a hassle-free and convenient choice for business travelers, and I'll definitely keep it in mind for future trips! 🏨"

"Before my trip, I meticulously read numerous online reviews for this hotel, and after experiencing it firsthand, I now understand why the reviews are somewhat polarized. To be honest, the hotel's location and interior environment are quite good. The lobby and restaurant have an older charm, but the rooms are well-maintained. The linens felt slightly damp, but the bright interior lighting compensates for the natural light deficiencies due to the room's age. The hot water supply was also excellent, indicating that the hotel has invested in unseen yet comfort-ensuring aspects – something many poorly managed older hotels fail to do. The hotel features several courtyard areas, each surrounding a beautiful garden. These gardens have a French vintage aesthetic and are clearly well-maintained, though perhaps not with the same meticulous, high-luxury precision throughout. After all, given the hotel's size, it's unrealistic to expect every area to be managed like a boutique property. Breakfast was surprisingly good, especially the baked goods. The bread, though unassuming in appearance, had excellent texture and aroma, on par with top-tier bakeries in Shanghai. There were also many local Indonesian specialties; however, given the general characteristics and standards of Indonesian cuisine, it's best to approach these with cautious anticipation and try a small selection. Nevertheless, among all the good hotels I've stayed in during this trip, this one offered the most diverse and thoughtfully prepared local dishes – just don't compare them to the 'delicious' Western food standards and tastes. In summary, for this price (even the suites are quite affordable), staying in a hotel of this style offers excellent value for money. You can't compare it to hotels priced at 3000 and above, even if its historic exterior might suggest that caliber. The maintenance and staffing costs for such high-end establishments are simply on a different level."

"After visiting the waterfalls and volcanoes, I was exhausted when I returned to Surabaya, but checking into this hotel was so comfortable. The environment is great, and the front desk staff are very welcoming. The hotel's location is also excellent; even though I was too tired to shop, a walk around the area was very pleasant. Surabaya is much cleaner and prettier than Jakarta. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Surabaya."

"The location is strategic. However, what made it extremely uncomfortable and strange was that the Wi-Fi wasn't working. The excuse given was that I'm an iPhone user and iPhone data is limited. But in reality, my husband, who uses an Android, couldn't connect either. And mind you, I didn't book a hotel for only 100,000. When checking out, there was another guest complaining about something else. Yet, it's written on their doors, ”zero complain.” I hope they can improve, as it was very disappointing. Upon entering the room, I was also greeted by black ants on the wall and small insects in the bathroom. While not disruptive, for the price, this shouldn't be happening."
