"I love this place! The staff are very accommodating and are very friendly and helpful. They have arranged and serve our breakfast earlier than their regular schedule to accomodate us as our flight is early and their breakfast starts at 8:30am, so we really appreciate it. The view and ambience is very homey. They have a private beach and we spent most of our time chilling at their beach bar. Very nice place! Perfect for those who love to stay away from the hustle and bustle and for those who prefer a slow and peaceful stay. I love their support for sustainability. Rooms are super spacious and clean. I love our room’s sunbed area as it has a spectacular view of the beach. Would love to come back."

"The staff are very friendly and try to help where possible. The view from restaurant from the pool are very nice, especially at night. The dish pad thai is delicious. The location is on a hill, a bit away from any city or nightlife.. u can walk down in 5-10 mins to a major road where there r some shops.. for me lovation was good as only stayed 2 days and wanted to be close to ethical elephant sanctuary and marina for tour to James Bond island and airport (40 mins with traffic)
The room (i had a mountain facing one) is very outdated and feels very basic. Not worth the money compared to other places ard the same price."

"I booked a hotel casually before leaving for Thailand, but I didn't expect that this hotel was very cost-effective. As soon as I stepped into the hotel lobby, the design of the lobby was modern and warm, and the room was unexpectedly clean, which was in sharp contrast to the old hotel I stayed in before. [Warm and thoughtful service] The hotel staff made me feel the hospitality and friendliness of the Thai people. In particular, the boss personally took me to appreciate the local bar street culture. "The accommodation is close to many tourist spots, including important temples on the opposite side. Comfortable, although the place is a bit old and stuffy. The owner is interested in communicating and explaining and preparing appliances to make it feel like home. The owner was kind enough to check. It's a little late because my family took me to my birthday for most of the day."

The villa was built in 2020. It is located on the hill of Kata, close to Kata Beach, and surrounded by trees.
The villa has two sea view suites and one mountain view suite. Each room has a private bathroom. There are four bathrooms in total, one of which is next to the swimming pool, and a private pool. It has high-speed private WIFI.
Across the street from the villa is a restaurant and a yoga studio. The location is quiet, and you can see the scenery from the balcony. There is a family of squirrels living in the nearby trees. There is a shuttle bus opposite the villa that can be used for a fee. You can use it back and forth.....

GGoldenpiggiesThe view from the room was truly lovely. It was wonderful to have privacy, as both the room and the bathroom faced the sea—this was an important factor in choosing this hotel. The sea view was definitely the highlight of the experience. It was visible from almost everywhere in the hotel, and the teppanyaki restaurant, Gin, was exceptional. The chef was friendly, personable, and professional. The food was of good quality, and one of the older, elegant Thai-Chinese ladies providing service stood out, especially since the other staff members were less pleasant during our dining experience. We left feedback with their names in their internal feedback. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the quality of the room and the air conditioning, which was a significant letdown, as well as the variety and overall spread of the breakfast.

IIvan KraljEven if it ended with a nice gesture, the receptionist handing me a keychain gift (not sure if they do that with all guests), with a written request to leave 10/10 review, sadly I couldn't ignore the shortcomings of this hostel that seemed like just a downgraded version of Marco Polo Poshtel (not sure which one came first, but from breakfast to ”funny” wall messages, there was a similar ”creative” signature).
While I was initially attracted by reviews mentioning hostel's cleanliness, I couldn't say I shared the same opinion. Certain public areas were quite messy. The staircase to the first floor (where shoes are forbidden) didnt seem to be cleaned for some time. In the showers (which had a good water pressure), there was mold. None of the three handsoap dispensers in the only bathroom had soap in them. It just felt the staff doesnt have time or organizational skills to maintain everything in working order.
But I was mostly surprised by finding a not clean (i dont want to call it ”used”) bed cover in my bed. It had some fresh stains, hair and crumbles (well, not just on bed cover), and seemed just to be folded after the guest before me (even the folding seemed messed up, so i really thought maybe the bed was forgotten). When I asked the housekeeping to change it, they initially approved. The younger housekeeper started changing everything, sheet included (which i believe is a good way to do it, when it is not certain if the bed was completely changed), but when the older one returned, she made her put the sheet back (the sheet that was thrown on the floor in the meantime), laughing all along. No, that wasnt really funny.
Then instead of letting the young housekeeper put on the new bed cover she brought along, i noticed that the older one brought something that seemed to be the same old bed cover that i complained about (the duvet was already inside). When i asked if that is a new thing, she was convincing me it was. Already at that moment, i felt ridiculed. But i said, ”okay, if you say so.”
After all was done, i came back to my bed, unfolded the bed cover and confirmed my doubt - all this performance of changing the bed, without them changing anything! The only difference was that the bedsheet was also on the floor in the meantime.
This got me really frustrated, mostly because they lied to my face (what for?), and mostly because they invested energy in ”changing” everything while actually just stripping everything off and returning it (why? It takes the same amount of energy to do it for real). Feeling like an *****, i asked what seemed to be the problem? Dont they have clean bedding, or what? But they had. I asked them to give it to me then, and i would happily prepare the bed myself. Which they accepted. Lol.
I dont know, with that poor breakfast, the visual mess, unpleasant ”toilet” scent at hostel entrance, and generally low level of cleanliness (you can see how yellow the pillow is once you remove the pillow case yourself), it felt that other reviews mentioning spotless hygiene were misleading. Or were my standards too high?
In any case, i stayed in a dozen of Phuket hostels during my month here, but none of them tried to insult my intelligence. There are better places, and no, Dorm Hostel sadly doesnt deserve 10/10, to quote the request they tell everyone at check-out.
I also tried to leave them space for hostel improvement, so instead of lowest marks, i left average ones, even if the experience was truly below average.
P.S. When a guest asks whether a ferry with a pick-up operates everywhere in Phuket, a genuinely helpful answer would be ”yes”. And not ”no, it's only our hostel's pickup”. I understand everyone just tries to earn money, but it shouldn't be done by misleading guests who just trustfully ask for information.

TThe KimHimA lovely hotel with excellent service. The check-in experience was delightful, thanks to Madmee, who was exceptionally kind, energetic, and welcoming—setting a great tone for the stay. The team members operating the golf carts were also outstanding, ensuring seamless transportation around the property.
The room was spacious but had a low decoration, and the design and furniture felt a bit dated. However, the cleanliness was impeccable, which made up for the aged interiors.
Breakfast was excellent, and I had one of the best Eggs Benedict dishes here. However, the service was lacking—staff were not very attentive and were often engaged in conversations with each other, including those from the kitchen team. On the bright side, used plates were cleared promptly.
Overall, it’s a good hotel, though it lacks a beach and is a bit far from town and local dining spots. Despite these drawbacks, the staff’s warmth and service make it a pleasant place to stay.

NNeil NicholasFrom the front desk, cleaning staffs and restaurant servers all did their best and made me and my wife feeling comfortable as we spent our wedding anniversary weekend there.
Location is very good with beach right in front, many souvenir shops, massage shop, drinking places and restaurants to try.
Room is a bit dated but it is big enough and clean for our stay. Breakfast options is good enough, from Thai, Chinese, Indian and Western to eat. Servers there were all helpful and cooks kept replenishing them dishes.
Pool were so full most times too, when in the room you can sometimes hear our neighbours if they moan loudly or closes the room doors.
Overall it is good place to stay and great for families.

JJoanneHYI recently stayed at this hotel for 3 nights, and my experience was fantastic. I originally booked a pool-access room for all three nights. However, due to an unexpected system issue, the hotel was unable to provide the pool room for the entire stay. Instead, they arranged for me to stay one night in the pool room and upgraded me to a much larger room for the remaining two nights. To make up for the inconvenience, they also offered a complimentary dinner, which was a lovely touch.
One of the highlights of my stay was the thoughtful birthday surprise they prepared for me. When I entered the room, it was beautifully decorated with “Happy Birthday” wishes, which made my day extra special and memorable.
Although the hotel is slightly older, the outstanding service more than made up for it. The staff were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a pleasant stay. The central location is another great advantage, making it convenient to explore the area and enjoy the local attractions.
Overall, I was very pleased with the hotel’s dedication to their guests. Despite the minor hiccup with the booking, their efforts to make it right truly impressed me. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a memorable stay with exceptional service and a great location.

Staff was super nice and friendly. The room has an old smell but it's clean. We brought our room spray. So it's all good. The bed was nice and room was super cosy. We definitely will come again to this hotel..!

SSamuel HandWe had a wonderful experience at this hotel. Our daughter loved the pool and loved playing in the 'Kids World'. The facilities are excellent, for example there is a good-sized gym with plenty of equipment, and a restaurant with lots of choice. The breakfast is delicious.
I would strongly recommend this hotel. It is also only a short walk away from the beach.
In the interest of balance, I would just like to mention a few things that could be improved upon.
1. The room did not look like the advertisement photos on the booking website. The staff were very helpful and added some things to make it a closer resemblance. However, the photo of the one bedroom family suite shows lots of toys and extra items in the room that are in fact not included. There is a bunk bed and a kids tent.
2. The local area is quite expensive. Due to there being no 7 eleven nearby and the northern part of Kamala being quite relaxed, the prices of things in the local shops are pretty high. I would advise to get a ride to the nearest 7 eleven as soon as you arrive and stock up on supplies!
These 2 things are small in comparison to the great things this hotel has to offer. We had an amazing time. We want to thank the staff for a lovely holiday!
