We chose a family room, and the kids had bunk beds, but it turned out to be an older renovation. The key card stopped working immediately; check-in was already late, around 10 PM. In the morning, we asked for a change, and thankfully, the staff handled it quickly. We moved to a room with one large bed, and they added an extra bed for us, which was much more comfortable! This room had been recently renovated! The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the sea! The beach club is super. You step out of the hotel, and there are shops, massage parlors, and a 7-Eleven nearby!

Absolutely beautiful with an amazing atmosphere! The staff provided excellent service, even better than some more expensive places. Definitely worth the price. There are so many activities to do. Highly recommend if you're looking for a truly relaxing getaway!

After a heavy monsoon storm knocked out the power at my home, I needed a quick place to crash before work and booked Blue Monkey due to its proximity to my office. Checking in at 9 PM, I was instantly relieved to find a spotless, incredibly comfortable room. The standout surprise for me, however, was the attention to detail with the amenities. As a frequent traveler who is used to sleeping in five-star hotels, I was amazed by the dental kit here. The toothbrush was noticeably softer and of better quality than what I usually get at luxury properties, paired perfectly with a strong mint toothpaste! The shampoo and body wash also tie into the hotel's theme beautifully, featuring a signature, fun banana scent. Blue Monkey completely exceeded my expectations and turned a stressful, stormy night into a fantastic stay!

The studio apartment is very spacious, featuring a kitchen-living room, a bedroom, a separate bathroom with a walk-in closet, and 3 air conditioners. The room is equipped with a microwave, a stove, a capsule coffee machine, and cooking utensils. Housekeeping is every two days, but it's best to remind the reception. Beach towels are provided in the room and are replaced during cleaning. There are two buildings and several pools on the property. Guests can use the shuttles from the Laguna area, and there's also a transfer service to Patong. A boat transports guests to the beach every 20 minutes from 8 AM to 12 PM and from 1 PM to 7 PM. You can also take another boat to cruise around the Laguna. On the beach, there are complimentary sun loungers and umbrellas, as well as a toilet and shower. Small stalls selling drinks, food, and corn are right on the beach. Stand-up paddleboard rentals are available nearby. The breakfasts are good, offering vegetables, fruits, cheese, pastries, a kids' table, yogurts, an egg station, coffee, beverages, and much more.

Detailed Stay Experience & Suggestions: * Pool Closure & Alternatives: The hotel's main pool is currently undergoing renovation (expected to be closed until late September or even October). While Xana Beach Club and Rava Club have small pools, they are not very suitable for children under 12. * Thoughtful Solution: During our stay, hotel management allowed us to use the excellent family-friendly pool at the adjacent Banyan Tree, easily accessible via the free Laguna ferry. * Booking Pitfall: When we booked through Trip.com and inquired with both parties, neither clearly specified the exact areas affected. Future travelers are strongly advised to double-check. * Room Location & Construction Noise: Villas numbered 1110 to 1124 within the resort are closer to the renovation site and may not be ideal for booking currently. Since hotels usually confirm specific room numbers only one day before check-in, it's recommended to clarify with customer service before making a full payment. * Protecting Consumer Rights: If your trip is affected by facility closures, impacting your children's expectations and your original experience, don't hesitate to voice your concerns to the hotel and booking platform. We successfully negotiated reasonable compensation through proactive communication with Trip.com and hotel management. * Dining Recommendations: The restaurants at Angsana and Banyan Tree are definitely worth trying. We highly recommend the Italian restaurant Azura and the Thai restaurant Saffron; both are of very high quality. * Service, Transportation & Environment: The hotel service is excellent, with buggy (golf cart) transfers available within the resort. The entire Laguna area also offers shuttle buses and ferries, making for a very relaxing and comfortable overall environment. * Family Leisure & Nearby Attractions: * Oasis Spa: Highly recommended for a family experience; we had a wonderful time there. * External Excursions: Khai Island and the Elephant Park are highly recommended for children under 10; they offer a great experience.

The environment here is top-notch, but Laguna isn't ideal for short stays or first-time visitors to Phuket. This hotel and the neighboring Dusit Thani are practically the heart of Laguna. Of course, if you have the budget, you could opt for the Banyan Tree. This place is flawless in every aspect. Compared to the Dusit Thani next door, the rooms might be a bit smaller and older, but in terms of ambiance, location, environment, and spaciousness, it clearly wins. This time, I stayed here as an interim stop after coming back from Phi Phi. It's a shame I only stayed for one day. I tried both the Italian and Thai restaurants, and both were excellent.

Modern building with good amenities, including a gym and pool. However, the reception was not welcoming, and despite requesting a quiet room, I was assigned one facing the road, which was unsuitable for working due to noise. A coworking space is available but not particularly quiet. The bed was acceptable, though the bedding and duvet felt low quality and not breathable. No breakfast is offered. Overall, an acceptable stay if you secure a room facing the inner garden.

Excellent hotel! My child attended many workshops and activities. The staff are caring and attentive, huge thanks to them. There are plenty of sun loungers by the pool, always a spot to relax, and an excellent bar with delicious cocktails. The housekeeping is top-notch; our room was cleaned twice a day and the bed was made. The hotel has a very convenient app with all the information you need, and you can even order extra necessities to your room. I ordered an additional pillow and there were several different types to choose from. The breakfasts are excellent, and on certain days, there are seafood dinners. The buffet includes oysters, crab, shrimp, and hot dishes, all for 1250 baht. We will definitely be back. This is one of the best hotels for our vacation ❤️

It's incredibly stuffy everywhere!!! The air conditioners in the hallways aren't working, and even when you set the one in the room to the lowest setting, it's still stuffy and hot. It's impossible to sit in the restaurant; the waiters walk out and leave the door to the street open, making it stuffy. The fans don't help. The only cool place is the gym. Otherwise, everything is great. Breakfast is beyond praise (but again, it's stuffy while eating). The hotel itself is new and clean.
