Didn't get to explore all the facilities as we arrived late and left early. One thing I hadn't realised is that the terminals at this airport are really far apart and luck was not on our side and we had a surprising 25 minute taxi ride in the morning to get to the right terminal. The staff alerted us to this potential issue the night before, so there was not last minute rush!
Really clean, great staff and well presented interior. Beds very comfortable and whilst no great view, the sound proofing was excellent.

Review of Stay at Shanghai Hongqiao Airport Terminal 1 Hotel
Location and Accessibility: The hotel is conveniently located within Shanghai Hongqiao Airport Terminal 1 (not Pudong Airport, Shanghai’s largest airport). A shuttle service operates only on a fixed schedule, providing easy access to Terminal 2.
Breakfast: The breakfast buffet was excellent, offering a wide variety of international options. However, I wish there were more clearly marked halal options (non-pork, non-halal meat) to better accommodate dietary preferences.
Service and Amenities: The staff were friendly and professional. AC was not working well and it was too hot in the night. We had to call them and provided a cooler which was not so effective as well. There were issues with the air conditioning and shower as well.
Recommendation: This hotel is ideal for those attending exhibitions at the National Exhibition and Convention Center Shanghai. For cost savings, consider booking without breakfast and paying for it separately at the hotel, as this option appears more economical.
Overall: A pleasant stay with great convenience for Hongqiao Airport travelers, though improvements in halal food labeling and minor facility maintenance would enhance the experience.

The hotel is new, but the breakfast is just average. I feel I overpaid for it, especially since there’s discount of under 100 RMB per person on app. On my way to the airport for dinner, a female guard was quite unfriendly, and I worried she might cause trouble when I returned. Thankfully, she was absent when I got back and when I left for my flight. Do note that Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 aren't within walking distance and are separated by a metro station, making it inconvenient for flights from Terminal 2. The high-speed rail station is two stops away. Overall, it’s a decent hotel for an early flight or a late arrival at Terminal 1.

Luxurious stay for our final night of an amazing holiday to China. Rooms was lovely, with the wow factor. Pool has a fabulous view where you can watch the planes taking off and landing. Food was great and the shuttle bus transfer to the terminal ideal. Would definitely recommend!

Opened in December last year, this hotel is pretty new. Staff were friendly and helpful. Swimming pool / gym has great airport / city view.

Excellent location to the check-in of Terminal 1. Very new hotel with nice interior. There need to be more western electricity outlets being installed in the bedroom to charge phone and laptop.
